The race is on in the Alps as Sigma Team along with Soundwave and the Constructicons vie for the Iacon Relic located there.
- Ambiguous Situation: The final scene has Omega Team returning to base all heavily injured, but Hot Shot is notably absent from the group, leaving his fate unknown.
- The Bad Guy Wins: Soundwave secures the Resonance Blaster.
- Big "WHAT?!": Marrybell's reaction when Devastator uses his Geass Canceller to stop her controlling him with her Geass.
- Character Death: Tink is tragically killed when a falling Bonecrusher (in his drill-mounted arm configuration of Devastator) shatters his Knightmare.
- Cliffhanger: The chapter ends with Omega Team returning to base, all heavily injured.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?:
- Mixmaster has this in mind when Soundwave dismissed him aiding in digging the Iacon Artifact, believing that Devastator is the only value the Constructicons has to the Communication Officer. Although he admits he might like killing Autobots, he sees himself as more than just a killing machine.
- Starscream is furious that Megatron doesn't show any appreciation for his successful mission.
- Foreshadowing: This chapter sets the stage for the next chapter leading to the ultimate conclusion of the Iacon Relics arc.
- Internal Reveal:
- Toto is revealed to have a Geass, given to her by V.V.
- Soundwave is revealed to have a Geass Canceller, which he doesn't use since there was no need. Devastator does use his again in this chapter, much to Sigma Team's shock.
- Damage to his mask reveals Wizard's identity of Oiagros Zevon to Sigma Team, much to Oldrin, Orpheus, and Marrybell's shock and fury.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: Toto uses her Geass to make Laserbeak (and by extension Soundwave) forget that she and Ratchet were present with the rest of Sigma Team, in order to sell their Trojan Horse plan without suspicion.
- Little "No": Ratchet's last line upon seeing the state of Omega Team.
- Say My Name: Wizard roars out "SOUNDWAVE!" after the Communications Officer takes down Sigma Team with the Resonance Blaster, the former charging at him in rage.
- Seinfeldian Conversation: When comparing their Trojan Horse plan (a bomb inside Laserbeak inside Soundwave) to a Turducken, the human members of Sigma Team briefly get sidetracked discussing which sequence that dish is meant to be cooked in, before Ratchet makes them refocus.
- Shout-Out: Knock Out could be heard screaming like a certain Disney character when the bomb he was attempting to dispose of blows up in the distance. Megatron was bemused.
- The Starscream: Starscream and Schneizel briefly discuss their preparations to usurp Megatron.
- Trojan Horse: A virus is uploaded into Laserbeak by Ratchet and Nina, which then spreads to Soundwave and from him to the Decepticons' computers, transferring the full Iacon Database to the Autobots. A bomb is also planted on Laserbeak as a decoy to allay suspicions.
- Wham Episode: The Grandberry is destroyed and Tink is killed, Wizard's true identity is exposed, Nina and Ratchet's virus in Laserbeak gives the Autobots and Black Knights access to the full Iacon Database, and the chapter ends with Omega Team returning to base in critical condition.
