Lauren catches two class presidential candidates in a compromising position. Steven refuses to endorse an overachieving student for a prestigious award. The main skit for Winslow's annual charity show parodies recent events involving the faculty.
Tropes present in the episode:
- Abusive Parents: Joseph Lablonde obviously pushed his son John to be successful.
- All Men Are Perverts: Peter's reason for accepting Susan's offer? "I thought it was my lucky day!" And he clearly expects Steven and Scott to sympathize with his reasoning.Peter: [to Steven and Scott] I mean, have you seen Susan Potter?
- Caught with Your Pants Down: Lauren catches Susan and Peter finishing up a sex act in the stairwell.
- Downer Ending: John commits suicide, and his father blames Steven.
- Driven to Suicide: John Lablonde downs pills after being suspended from school.
- Jizzed in My Pants: Juan's chosen topic for the Dungeon when he becomes teacher for the day.
- Madness Mantra: After attacking a student, John repeats "It should be mine" during his meeting with Mr. Lick.
- Never My Fault: Joseph Lablonde blames Steven for his son's suicide.
- Non-Giving-Up School Guy: Harry convinces Juan Figgis to come back to school by letting him teach anything he wants for the day. It works...only for Juan to discuss premature ejaculation with the class.
- Principles Zealot: Steven is rigid in his belief that John doesn't deserve the Magna Club Award because he didn't report his cheating teammates. It ultimately results in John committing suicide.
- Remember the New Guy?: John Lablonde was involved in the soccer team's cheating scandal, but he only appears in this episode and factors into the next one.
- You Did the Right Thing: After denying John's request for a recommendation, Steven asks Scott to tell him he's doing the right thing, and Scott obliges.
