Cycle of Revenge: A subversion. Niccolo is fully prepared to kill Gabi after he learns that she's Sasha's killer, but when he offers Mr. Braus the opportunity to take revenge, he refuses to harm Gabi. Instead, he explains that he sent Sasha out into the world to become a soldier, and she died because she was a fighting (and killing) in a war. He decides that taking revenge on Gabi isn't worth it, and instead wants to break this cycle for future generations.
Kaya, on the other hand, completely loses it and tries to kill Gabi for the deed, after helping them into the cities previously. Then again, she didn't know beforehand that Gabi killed Sasha.
I Never Said It Was Poison: Played for drama. Floch states that the wine containing Zeke's spinal fluid will only turn some idiots from the Military Police into evenbigger idiots. As Hange never told Floch that the Military Police drank the wine, Floch's statement serves as his confirmation that the Yeagerists indeed knew about the plan.
Rage Breaking Point: Kaya finally learns that Gabi killed Sasha, the woman who saved her life from a Titan attack years ago, and tries to kill her. She was restrained by Mikasa and left to cry.
Slasher Smile: Floch, after he gets to reveal the Yeagerists plan to Hange.
Taking the Bullet: Falco takes Niccolo's hit with a wine bottle that was meant for Gabi.
Tampering with Food and Drink: In this episode the Survey Corps learn of Zeke, Yelena, and the Yeagerists plan to make military personnel drink wine that contains Zeke's spinal fluid, which can be used by Zeke to turn Eldians into titans.
Unreliable Narrator: Zeke, while telling the military about how he turned the people of Ragako Village into titans. He purposefully lies about how Eldians supposedly freeze up after inhaling or ingesting his spinal fluid. This is all part of an elaborate plan to make Military Police officers drink Zeke's spinal fluid without suspicions.
Would Hit a Girl/Would Hurt a Child: Niccolo furiously attacks Gabi with a wine bottle after learning she killed Sasha, though Falco takes the blow instead. He does punch her and prepares to kill her before Mr. Braus stops him.
