Basic Trope: A character's hidden supply of pornography.
- Straight:
- Bob has a box of pornographic videos under his bed.
- Bob has a folder full of porn on his computer, and most likely an Embarrassing Browser History.
- Exaggerated:
- Bob has a second dresser filled with nothing but porn of all shapes and sizes.
- 75% of Bob's 20TB hard drive is porn.
- ALL of Bob's 20TB hard drive is porn.
- Downplayed: Bob keeps a single skin mag under his bed.
- Justified:
- Bob doesn't like internet porn, or is just Hopeless with Tech.
- Bob collects pornographic works.
- Bob is hiding something else with the stash.
- Bob doesn't want to risk exposing his neighbor's kids.
- Bob sells porn DVDs.
- The Internet Is for Porn, so guess what's on Bob's hard drive...
- Inverted: Instead of hiding a stash of porn, Bob goes out of his way to showcase his extensive collection openly, proudly proclaiming his appreciation for the art form.
- Subverted: Bob's box actually contains old baseball cards.
- Double Subverted: Those baseball cards are hiding his porn stash.
- Parodied:
- Bob has bought a bunker, secured with attack dogs, landmines, armed guards, dolphins with bazookas, evil lawnmowers, clones of William The Conqueror, explosive hot dog stands and slightly muddy ground. This is all to secure his porn stash. His girlfriend finds it anyway.
- The box containing Bob's porn stash is literally bottomless. Somehow, it's almost full.
- Zig-Zagged: Bob has many, many alternating layers of baseball cards and pornographic video tapes in the box under his bed.
- Averted: Bob just watches porn online. He also clears his browser history.
- Enforced:
- The episode where Bob's stash is shown is a Very Special Episode about pornography addiction.
- Bob is portrayed as the Butt-Monkey in a show where Everybody Has Lots of Sex, so this trope is pretty much an inevitable joke.
- Lampshaded:
- "Jesus Christ Bob, get a girlfriend!"
- "Looks like Bob figured out the seedier side of cyberspace pretty quickly..."
- Invoked: Bob deliberately leaves clues and hints about his supposed hidden porn stash to mess with his nosy roommate.
- Exploited: Bob uses his porn stash to hide something else.
- Defied: Bob is a bible-thumping Church of Happyology member who abstains from porn entirely.
- Discussed: "What is it with Bob and that suspicious box under his bed?"
- Conversed: "Whatever's in there is nothing compared to the contents of his hard drive. What I saw there cannot be unseen..."
- Implied:
- Bob sends his computer to the repairman. The repairman is shown to be awkward around Bob when he gets his computer back.
- Bob has a brown box under his bed. Its contents are not revealed, but he gets very defensive about it.
- Played for Laughs: Bob's porn stash becomes sentient in a Freak Lab Accident. Bob is more concerned about his secret being revealed than the destruction that his now sentient porn stash is causing.
- Played for Drama:
- Bob's porn stash is found by his girlfriend, Alice. The contents of it cause a conflict between the couple that results in a messy breakup.
- Bob's stash is full of gay porn and he is outed when it is found.
- Bob's stash is full of child porn. When it is discovered, he has to kill the discoverer or get reported and arrested.
