- Bob is so covered in hair, he's practically a Wolf Man.
- Downplayed: Bob's chest is hairy, though not unrealistically so.
- Justified: Bob is much older than the rest of the male cast that consists primarily of teenagers and very young adults.
- Inverted:
- Bob Badass has a smooth chest, though the rest of his body is very hairy.
- Bob has a hairy chest, but he's very sensitive and Weaksauce Weakness personified.
- Bob is hairy, but he is actually quite feminine.
- Bob is very manly and does not have chest hair. His waxing sessions are considered manly instead.
- Gender Inverted: Alice is a very hairy woman, which she may or may not feel self-conscious about.

- Bob does all these Action Hero things, but no attention is drawn to his chest.

- Bob is quite hairy, but he's also a particularly effeminate gay man who doesn't have a lot of "badass" qualities to him.

- Until a brief Shirtless Scene or nude scene comes on, and Bob's chest hair is visible.
- Only because he's a competitive swimmer and has to wax everything to attain higher speeds; it's not something he'd do otherwise.
- When a group of thugs hear that Bob is gay, they try to beat him up, (thinking he will be just a hairy sissy) only to discover he's also a One-Man Army who can swiftly pound their sorry asses into oblivion, and whose feats of strength and courage inspire his straight comrades to be more like him.
- Parodied:
- Bob is mistaken for Bigfoot because he's so hairy.
- Bob feels self-conscious, as body hair goes out of style, and heads to a salon for Painful Body Waxing.
- Zig Zagged: Bob, Carl and Dave are all equally manly characters, but their level of hairiness varies.
- Averted: Bob is a smooth-chested Bishounen
- Enforced: "We need to show that this guy is so badass that he sweats testosterone! Let's give him a nice chest rug!"
