- This trope is seemingly played straight, Bob is a Pintsized Powerhouse who still managed to fit the traditional big brother protector role despite Lance being taller.
- Double Subverted: By the sequel, Lance has also had a late growth spurt, and is once again taller than Bob.
- Parodied: Not only is Bob significantly smaller than Lance, but looks young enough to be frequently mistaken for his younger brother's kid.

When someone picks on Lance, they at first worry when he says he's going to get his big brother, then they laugh, then they beg for mercy after Bob pummels them. However in their later years, Bob has a few tragic mishaps and needs to be cared for by Lance in their older years, although Bob still retains his tough guy personality (sometimes).
