• "The Masquerade" has the moment where Bon Bon nearly falls off a cliff to her death. Not only is that scary in and of itself, the fact her parents are there and reacting exactly as any parent would in this situation makes it terrifying.
• In "Shop Talk", Lancer teases Teddy by squeezing a soccer ball upon finding out that he sleeps with a teddy bear. He makes this unsettling expression while doing so.
• "The Great Lemonade Stand Wars" has Teddy trying some lemonade made by Lancer and Ace which ended up shutting his mouth closed. Lancer and Ace literally had to pry his jaw open, as depicted in the page image. It's even worse animated.
• In "Up, Up and Away", Patch and Bon Bon steal a hot air balloon that gets damaged by birds. They nearly fall in shark-infested waters.
• "Ponies in Paradise": Patch, Bon Bon and Sweetheart's warnings about Tropical Island with Bright Eyes almost believing them.
  • First, Patch tells Bright Eyes about the sea monster who lurks in the ocean, waiting to strike at ponies in canoes.
  • Bon Bon explains that the natives eat each other if they run out of food, and she imagines a pony flailing in a cauldron.
  • Sweetheart hears that they sacrifice ponies to the island's volcano to keep it dormant. Her Imagine Spot has a native going through that fate, while Bright Eyes imagines herself being shoved in.
• Worst of all, in that same episode, Bright Eyes falls into a volcano for real, and would surely have perished if not for a ledge.
• Ponyville being flooded in the finale. Especially because there's no supernatural aspect, no villain. Just a natural disaster that could very well happen in real life.
