Though the original meme had this Played for Laughs, constantly being warped to unknown places is actually scary.

     General
  • Everytime you delete a save file, you break the SOUL that inhabits it.
  • Much like it's inspiration, each chapter has its own version of a Weird Route. In this game, it's christened with the ominous title of "Obliteration Route".
     Section 1: In Ruins
  • Killing Flowey at the end of Section 1's Obliteration Route has him give a demented smile as he remarks, "I knew it... You're just like them... CHARA..."
  • In Section 1's Hard Mode, Toriel looks furious when Susie calls her by her last name. If Frisk didn't jump in the way, Killing Intent might have come into play.
  • As you go deeper into an Obliteration Route, the heroes' data portraits change to make them gradually appear more and more discouraged. In Hard Mode, however, Frisk starts smiling instead and actually tries to kill Noelle without player input.
  • The ending of Hard Mode has some unsettling implications about the game's lore.
    • Frisk is teleported to a dark area by the discarded vessel. There's also an optional encounter against it, which has the Flavor Text lampshading how disturbing it looks regardless of which route you took.
    • Gaster is revealed to be the one behind the experiment. Due to the player activating Hard Mode, he acknowledges how it turned out differently than expected before judging Frisk based off of how many monsters they killed, and if they killed Flowey, he tells them that they made them (the Fallen Child) upset. After a brief cameo of Dess, he uses Gaster Blasters to kill Frisk and the player is booted back to the title screen.
    • Gaster's Synthetic Voice Actor makes the situation even more unsettling, as if he's physically unable to speak normally and thus has to rely on an actual machine to speak English. Not only that, but it implies that the text in Wingdings actually possess information that he doesn't want you to know about.
     Section 2: Oh, Mother
  • Section 2's Obliteration Route contains quite a few disturbing points, such as Kris gaining the ability to make enemies bleed. To make things even more unsettling, a strange girl-like figure knocks Kris out and gives Kris a concussion, and things look very bleak going on forward from there.
    • The town being empty as a result of almost everyone fleeing after the death of the first cultist is rather unsettling.
    • The last fight of Section 2 on Obliteration is against Ness and Paula. Them being actual children does not save them from going down bloodily, nor does the fact that, without them, their world is probably doomed.
     Section 3: Hell's Forest
  • Being a Section based on Underfell, there's bound to be violently aggressive moments in Section 3. From what whas seen in the Shayy preview, adding onto the stuff already in the original GG!Underfell series...
    • Underfell Sans seems to have a grudge against a certain "they," something which wasn't present at all in the original series.
    • In Obliteration, continuing the route by killing Snowy will make Noelle's mood even worse and she will leave, not wanting to be around Kris, forcing Susie to follow her alone. Aside from that, most of the rest of her dialogue is implicitly suicidal.
    • Talking to Sans in Obliteration will confirm that he knows that Kris has been making their friends kill, though he won't say it out loud.
    • There's a hidden Easter Egg that can be accessed by entering and leaving the room with the melted Snowman, similarly to the hidden room between rooms in Deltarune. Here you will find Gaster, who will tell the story about how he took in Chara's SOUL for experiments and found that it was impervious to damage. Near his last days, he jumped into the CORE while holding the SOUL and kept holding onto it until he felt that his mind was beginning to break apart. Though he no longer has the red SOUL, he constantly feels its presence. Depending on the route that you're currently on, he will add additional dialogue after giving his backstory.
      • If you're on the Pacifist Route, he will tell Kris about his discovery of the dark fountains before directly asking the player themself if they will help him make a new world, topping it off with realistic eyes.
      • If you're on the Obliteration Route, he will tell Kris about the strength they gained from the murders before addressing the player telling them that they aren't much different from him, once again with the realistic eyes.
    • And in both routes, as he talks, the scenery around the two slowly fades away until it's just the two of them as his theme slowly fades in.
    • Trigger the encounter on an aborted Obliteration route will have Susie wonder what Kris was doing. Noelle, meanwhile, while smiling with Hidden Eyes, says that if they were serious about not having control, they would have done it, which unnerves Susie
    • The Pacifist version of the conversation will have Susie and Noelle note that Kris was just wandering around, with Noelle wondering if they were gonna jump, though she doesn't finish the sentence.
  • During the electricity maze segment on an Obliteration route, Noelle briefly considers just letting Sans do with Kris as he pleases before Susie cuts her off. It's so far from how she normally acts that it's shocking.
  • Checking the letter trap while on an Obliteration route has Susie note that Noelle would probably tell you to open it. Not as dramatic as most of the other moments on this page, but still pretty creepy.
  • Kris's dream at QC's house on a normal route ends with them stabbing the soul and getting covered in blood, calling out for help as they wake up.
    • If Ness and Paula were killed on an Obliteration route, then regardless of whoever else you spared during chapter 3 prior to that point, Kris will be covered in blood during the dream itself.
  • While Kris is talking to Susie and Noelle downstairs, Gaster gives YOU the chance to create a vessel to permanently sever the ties between you two... Only for the process to get interrupted by the group returning, and the vessel crawls under the bed. Examine the bed onice, and the narration will say "Just a perfectly normal bed." Check it again, and the narration will change to say, "There is no reason to examine the bed any further." Wait a couple of minutes after that, and the vessel will appear from under the bed in the other room and then give a Slasher Smile to YOU before its face turns blank once more. It then leaves the room and jumps out the nearby window, with no music playing at all.
  • Just before the battle against Underfell Sans starts, he reveals that he knows Susie's name... because he killed an orphan girl that looked just like her. He outright says it "was the most cathartic kill I've done." And what makes it worse is his normal smile shifts into a more deranged Slasher Smile as he goes on about how good it felt.
  • During the fight against Underfell Sans, he reveals that the "they" he has a grudge against is the trio for something they (or at least their UF!counterparts) did to him in the past. But he never specifies beyond that.
  • Once you survive Underfell Sans' final attack, he starts slamming you against the battle box in a similar fashion that Sans does in regular Undertale, but with a deranged laugh and an insane smile as he demands for you to give him your soul.
  • If you kill Underfell Sans with a regular attack, his jaw breaks off, and then he goes on a little rant about how he killed Susie's counterpart. And then he lets out a distorted laugh as Susie slashes him multiple times, in a scene reminiscent of Undertale's Genocide ending.
    • Insetad, if you have Noelle use Ice Shock to finish him off while Susie isn't devious, Underfell Sans will become frozen. Susie will then remark how eerie it is that Noelle was able to do that.
  • Talk to UT!Doggo on a run where you've killed his UF counterpart, and not only will he think you're familiar, but your scent causes him to shake.
  • Talk to the NPC who gives you the Egg in UT!Snowdin enough times, and he'll have this really creepy line:
'NPC: Are you waiting for me to slip up? Or did you find this where you shouldn't be looking? Haha... I can only imagine what kind of damnatian awaits me. After all, he watches us all the same.
*The NPC then vanishes, creeping both Susie and Noelle out.*
  • Talking to Sans after viewing his photobook prompts a monologue that's more of a Tear Jerker at first, but does get creepy near the end as Sans drops this line:
'Sans: *Eye Lights Out* maybe don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong. you don't know what kinda dark secrets you'll find. *quickly becomes cheerful again* and regret knowing about. now give me back my key.
  • In a subtly creepy moment, talking to the Echo Flower next to the mole after killing it on an Obliteration Route has it repeat the "..." that you get for checking dead bodies.
  • The version 3 stinger of the Obliteration Route reveals that Flowey is still conscious, pleading with the player specifically to continue on the route they're on.
