• Blooper:
  • Just like Undertale, Flowey keeps track of how many times you play the game and spare him. However, there is a bug that causes him to think that you spared him twice even if you only did it once if you reload a save file from Section 2 or above.
  • Talking to Sans right after killing Coil Snake is supposed to have him ask about Susie's yelling. However, for some reason he'll still ask before the Coil Snake encounter right after you're able to draw blood.
• Breakthrough Hit: Not long after the fangame's initial release, Deltatraveler became one of the most widely known Deltarune AUs to exist, earning Ryno a ton of attention.
• Defictionalization: Downplayed. Underfell (RynoGG), one of Ryno's previous works, was not a Game Mod, but rather a fan animation made to resemble a Game Mod. Section 3 will be this story's version of Snowdin, meaning that it will become playable, albeit with different characters and story.
• Early-Bird Release:
  • Shayy, the current world record holder of most Undertale and Deltarune speedrun categories, was given an unfinished copy of Section 2 and uploaded footage of both the pacifist route and the obliteration route. Later, he would get limited access to the Section 3 build of the game.
  • Castle Crashin', a theme to be used in the not yet released Section 4, was posted on YouTube on April 5, 2022.
  • LOSTCORE, the area of the final section, appears at the end of Hard Mode.
  • The battle theme for section 7 was played during this stream. It was later reuploaded on YouTube on January 28, 2023.
  • During CiblesGD's playthrough of the Obliteration Route Undertale Fangame Marathon 2024, Sarah teased two upcoming battle themes: The main battle theme for version 3.1.0's Arena Mode, and the neutral final boss theme for Section 7, titled "Revelations." While the Arena Mode battle theme is said to be posted on YouTube soon, Revelations prior to Section 7's release can only be heard during the stream due to Sarah wanting to upload the theme with pictures of the characters, which would spoil the boss. It is also pointed out that the fight will have an alternate Obliteration theme titled "Retribution" (any naming relations to Undertale Yellow are completely coincidental).
    • A fan has since done their best to isolate the track from the commentary and uploaded it on You Tube, with the accompanying video being an image of the character they suspect the theme to be for, Frisk.
• Friendly Fandoms: The Undertale Yellow fandom and the Deltatraveler fandom are very closely entwined; in fact, there are a few easter eggs in Deltatraveler that reference Undertale Yellow's characters.^note  Naming yourself "Clover" triggers the dialogue, "INTERESTING. YOU INVOKE THE NAME OF JUSTICE.", naming youself "Ceroba" has a chance of the dialogue saying "MOMMY? SORRY, MOMMY? SORRY, MOMMY?" repeatedly, Flowey references Clover the third time you reload the credits, and in Snowdin, there is a Frostermit NPC. Also, Team Undertale Yellow is listed in the "Special Thanks" section of the credits while Ryno GG is listed in the "Playtesters" section of Undertale Yellow's credits.
• Inspiration for the Work: The fangame was directly inspired by the "GOD FUCKING DAMMIT KRIS WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE" meme that emerged just after the release of Deltarune's second chapter, jokingly depicting Kris and Susie winding up in various other works.
• She Also Did: Ryno previously worked on an animation of her interpretation of Underfell known as Underfell (RynoGG). While it has only five official episodes released as of now, Ryno plans on making the Snowdin section of GG!Underfell as the third section of Deltatraveler.
• Overtook the Manga: Chapter 3 of Deltatraveler was released before chapters 3-4 of Deltarune did. Since Chapters 1 and 2 of Deltarune were largely setup, it's unknown how much deviation Deltatraveler will have from the source material due to only having limited knowledge to work off of.
• Trolling Creator: Apparently Angry Birds wasn't listed as one of the deconfirmed games, so Ryno jokingly drew a picture of Kris as an Angry Bird.
• Troubled Production: Section 6 became this due to the large lack of ripped sprites from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story being unavailable, particularly most of the UI and the Energy Hold map sprites. If the sprites aren't available in time, it could've resulted in section 6 being scrapped. Fortunately, some of the devs began managing that problem soon after it was addressed.
• Word of Gay: According to this QnA video, Noelle in Deltatraveler canon is trans. Doubles as a Genuis Bonus when you realize that female deer don't usually have antlers.
• Word of God:
  • Ryno has stated that the no mercy route for this game is officially named the "Obliteration" route.
  • A "Hard Mode" is announced to be released for Section 1 only after Section 2 or 3 is finished. Frisk will star in Kris' place.
  • There will be eight sections in the final game, including:
    • Undertale (The Ruins)
    • Earthbound (Happy Happy Village)
    • GG!Underfell (Snowdin)
    • The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past
    • TS!Underswap (Starlight Isles)
    • Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (Energy Hold).
    • Toontown Online
    • The final section won't originate from an existing game/AU and will instead be an original Dark World.
  • Details about behind the scenes of Section 2 and upcoming content were posted in this Twitter thread.
    • Originally, the fangame was apparently only meant to be an Undertale AU based adventure. Entirely separate games would've been presented as a brief subversion.
    • Killing Paula first in the Obliteration Route would've been an option, leading to and alternate final phase with Ness where he would gradually put less effort into his attacks until Kris kills themself to avoid killing him. Ryno ultimately decided that this would've been too much work and made it so that only Ness can die first.
    • Ryno drew the Sans shopkeeper sprite herself.
    • The "piggyback party member" mechanic was originally only intended for Section 5 (TS!Underswap) with Chara, but Ryno didn't want this to be for only one section, so it was applied to Paula in Section 2.
  • Another Twitter post reveals that the LOSTCORE which appeared in Hard Mode's ending will be Section 8. The art accompanying the tweet reveals a few tidbits:
    • Sans is still following the party. Ryno stated that Sans won't join battles, he's just tagging along.
    • Susie is welding a hammer. This possibly hints at an equippable hammer weapon obtained in Section 6 (Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story).
    • The party is facing off against the discarded vessel.
  • One of the developers revealed that Light Clear won't be used for every non-Undertale section, meaning that you'll be playing those sections with the original games' mechanics.
  • It has been teased that Kris would eventually begin showing their eyes on a pacifist/neutral route as early as Section 3.
  • According to an ask on the official Tumblr, an Inverted Fate character will be featured.
    • With the release of Section 3, this is confirmed to be IF!Papyrus, who plays Uno with you in the Undertale Library.
  • Sarah herself confirmed on the official Discord server that there will only be Obliteration boss variations in one non-Undertale world and two-Undertale AU worlds.
