  • I blew it on my bing! Explanation
  • Also tomatoes, thanks to the pre-series special focusing on tomatoes and real life actors eating them.
  • The dub gives us "You just summoned your mom" in Yuma's duel against Nelson (Nelson's Number 83 resembles the character his mother portrays). It Makes Sense in Context.
  • One of ZEXAL's staff members makes posts about the series on his Twitter, and one of these went memetic for what the fans perceived to be Blatant Lies. The post in question?
98Zexal: Because I'm a person who hates useless things, I try hard to make sure that useless characters do not appear while constructing the story.note
  • Bukkusu! Explanation
  • The bizarre faces made by some of the characters—particularly Kaito and IV—have earned a lot of mockery in fandom. Now we can add Shingetsu/Vector into the mix (particularly impressive in his case since he doesn't have a mouth a lot of the time).
  • Super Saiyan Yuma. Explanation
  • A shot of Vector Saluting in Episode 96 rapidly went memetic due to being the sum-up of The Reveal, creating what one forum dubbed 'Vectorbombs', namely inserting saluting Vector into just about any image.
  • Between Silent Honor's DARK Knight's name and its Back from the Dead effect, it didn't take long at all for ZEXAL spins on The Dark Knight Rises to start popping up on some forums.
  • "C107 Syndrome" and "Deadly Sin Syndrome". The former has been adopted in the fandom for cards who are revealed, but then dragged out over several episodes, most prominantly ARC-V's Starve Venom Fusion Dragon.note  The latter's effect (if it even has one) was never revealed in the manga despite its prominence as Kyoji Yagumo's only non-blank Number, and is jokingly applied by the fandom for certain anime cards. note
  • The Twitch Marathon, much like its previous series has created its own memes.
