The Goosebumps SlappyWorld book where Monster Blood returns, this time on a cooking show.

Sascha Nelson and her best friend Nicole Hillard love to cook, and are excited to get on a competition involving their favorite TV show, Kids Big Chef Food Fights. Unfortunately, they're also facing their rivals, school cheaters Ashli Lorraine and Nathan Diggs. When the pair get Sascha and Nicole kicked off the show, the pair decide to get even by slipping Monster Blood, which they recently bought at the "Very Evil Toys" store, into their food. This backfires when both the Monster Blood and the judges who ate it start to grow, and grow, and grow...

This book provides examples of:

  • Adults Are Useless: The parents are okay this time around. The people running the cooking show, not so much. The host doesn't care that Ashli and Nathan are blatantly cheating, as he says it makes the show more interesting.
  • All Just a Dream: Early on, the protagonist narrowly avoids being hit by a car. But the twist reveals that that she did get hit and the entire rest of the plot was just a dream she had while knocked out.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Toby, who acts like a pest towards Sascha. However, he does end up saving the day in the end by becoming giant via Monster Blood.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: Sascha and Nicole regularly make weird food combos, such as scrambled eggs with marshmallows and banana and pickle sandwiches.
  • Canon Discontinuity: Just like Monster Blood For Breakfast, the previous Monster Blood books are ignored and it has a new origin.
  • Chekhov's Gun: They buy two cans of Monster Blood but only use one of them. The second one is later used by Sascha's little brother and his friends, who eat it to become giant and save the day.
  • Covers Always Lie: As is standard for the modern Monster Blood artwork, the Monster Blood has a face on the cover when it does not in the book.
  • Dream Reality Check: Sascha attempts this at one point, but it doesn't work as it's not a dream. Except that in the end, it turns out it was indeed all a dream.
  • Is the Answer to This Question "Yes"?: When Sascha asks Nicole if she's nervous, her answer is "Does a bear burp in the woods?"
  • The Little Shop That Wasn't There Yesterday: There is a mysterious new store very subtly named "Very Evil Toys", where they find the Monster Blood.
  • Shout-Out: The school Sascha attends is called Adam Driver Middle School.
