Arthur is shown tirelessly searching for Lewis, loads of crossed-out places he's searched on his laptop. Crosses into Tear Jerker considering what actually happened.
In a way, the fact that Lewis has two pepper ornaments hanging from the mirror of his Pimped-Out Car. They may seem out-of-place at first, until you remember that Lewis' beloved adoptive-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Pepper.

When he sees how distraught Mystery is, Arthur goes against his fear of the dog and comforts him by petting his head. Mystery leans into his palm with a thankful smile, and Arthur himself is grinning at the end. A literal Pet the Dog moment for the powerful yokai considering how scared he was of Shiromori finding him.
Before the van crashes, Mystery scrambles into the back seat to make sure Vivi's okay. The following scene of the gang has him trying to drag her out of the wreckage.
Is also a Tear Jerker, but Lewis immediately regrets dropping Arthur off the cliff, showing that despite how angry and hurt he was, Lewis still cared about him, deep down.

As Arthur looks into Lewis' locket and sees him and Vivi together, a closer examination reveals the image is actually a group shot of the entire Mystery Skulls crew, happily posing for a picture.
When Shiromori goes in for the kill on Vivi, Mystery transforms into his kitsune form and bites down on his leg to draw blood to distract Shiromori long enough for Vivi to get away, despite the danger he's drawing to himself.
Despite how fearful Mystery is over Shiromori and the possibility of her hurting them, he's still very regretful of what happened between them and convinces Vivi to spare her when she's vulnerable.
As Lewis burns away at Shiromori's vines, Arthur can be seen carrying his unconscious uncle Lance to safety.
As ??? takes possession of Mystery, it lets out a powerful shockwave that blasts Vivi away into the van. Upon seeing this, Lewis runs to her without hesitation to make sure she's okay.

One day after "The Future" released, Austin Lee Matthews, Arthur's voice actor, made a post talking about how he still can't believe he's voicing Arthur officially and that he's incredibly happy to have the chance to do so.
