The Wild Affair is a 1965 British comedy film directed by John Krish.

Marjorie Lee (Nancy Kwan) is a 20-year-old office worker who's on her last day on the job before she leaves to get married to Andy (Donald Churchill). Unsure of whether she's taking the right step, she's encouraged by what appears to be a manifestation of her id, whom she dubs Sandra, to have a fling in the time she has left. Marjorie has ample opportunity to pursue it, given all her male coworkers, including her boss Godfrey Deane (Terry-Thomas), show lecherous interest in her. Whether she will cave in is another thing.

Tropes:

  • Colorblind Casting: Chinese-American Nancy Kwan plays a British office girl. She is surrounded by an otherwise white cast, including both her onscreen parents, with none of them ever commenting on Marjorie's ethnicity.
  • Double Standard: After her fiance comes home from a stag party, Marjorie asks her mother why she shouldn't have that kind of fun as well before she gets hitched. Her mother simply says that things are different for a woman.
  • Extremely Short Timespan: The whole movie takes place in one day, more specifically Marjorie's last day at the office.
  • The Man in the Mirror Talks Back: Marjorie's alter ego Sandra speaks to her through mirror reflections. You can tell which one is which because Sandra wears vamp-like makeup (and she talks like a vamp too).
  • A Party, Also Known as an Orgy: A wild party is thrown at the office, partly in Marjorie's honor, partly because it's Christmas. It eventually becomes an excuse for a lot of couples to get frisky, with a male coworker commenting that the party has become "Sodom and Gomorrah".
  • Quitting to Get Married: Marjorie will leave her job to get married and the plot takes place on her last day at the office.
