Fanfic / JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The First Avengers

Go To

Returning to New York to do a show, Steve Rogers took a break and meet up with his old friend, Joseph Joestar. Their reunion would be interrupted, however, when a man named Straizo attacks them. After Joseph and Steve took out Straizo, Joseph learnt about the capture of his old friend, Robert E. O. Speedwagon. Not wanting Joseph to do things on his own, Steve volunteers to help him.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The First Avengers is a crossover between JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Captain America: The First Avenger. It is created by PowerCore Productions and part of the first phase of Anime X Marvel.

This fanfic contains the following tropes:

  • Achilles' Heel: Blue Liberty's critical weakness is that it would drained Steve Rogers of the super soldier serum in his body, rendering him as weak as a normal human.
  • Adaptational Villainy: In Battle Tendency, the Nazis were one of the factions opposing the Pillar Men, with Rudol von Stroheim being one of Joseph Joestar's major allies. Here, the Nazis are Hydra agents; when encountered in Switzerland, they're all completely hostile towards Joseph and his allies in Switzerland.
  • Adaptation Deviation:
    • The entire setting takes place in 1942, when World War II occurs.
    • It is Hydra that was assigned to research and experiment on the Pillar Men, with Rudol von Stroheim being a Hydra agent.
  • Badass Crew: The Avengers are a team comprised of Stand Users including Steve Rogers/Captain America, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Muhammad Avdol, Noriaki Kakyoin, Jean Pierre Polnareff and Moon Knight.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: The first part of The First Avengers involves Hydra lead by the Red Skull and the Pillar Men.
  • Big Good: SHIELD would help Steve, Joe and their team to battle forces like Hydra and Dio Brando.
  • Crossover Power Acquisition: Both Captain America and Bucky would trained under Lisa Lisa to obtain the Hamon ability. Captain America went further when he obtained a Stand after Joseph donated blood to him.
  • Death by Adaptation: After being incinerated by Avdol's Magician's Red, Moon Knight appears and kills Cameo.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: In canon, Wamuu would fight Joseph Joestar and die by his hands. Here, he was killed by Caesar and Steve.
  • Honor Before Reason: Averted. Steve, Bucky, Carter, and their soldiers would push aside honor to protect the world from the Pillar Men.
  • Mêlée à Trois: The American Forces, Hydra, and Kars' forces battle each other for the Red Stone of Aja and Stone Mask.
  • Oh, Crap!: Dio when he realizes Steve and Blue Liberty aren't affected by The World's time-stopping abilities.
  • Point of Divergence:
    • Both Joseph and Steve defeat Santana by having Steve's shield reflecting sunlight produced by Joseph at the Pillar Man.
    • Thanks to Steve and the others intervening, Caesar survives while Wamuu met his end.
    • Steve hijacks Red Skull's Valkyrie and uses it to save Joseph from Kars, averting his fate of being frozen in Antartica. He is also able to marry Peggy afterward.
    • With Steve observing the formation of SHIELD, Hydra agents like Armin Zola would not be able to infiltrate the organization and were forced into hiding.
    • Making through past the events of this version of Captain America: The First Avenger, Bucky did not become the Winter Soldier.
    • Steve would form the Avengers in this universe.
    • Steve and Moon Knight would join with Jotaro in the first part of the fight against Dio.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Compared to his canon counterpart, Avdol survived following Dio's defeat.
  • Summon Magic: Stand Users have the ability to summon manifestations of their psychic powers. Among them includes Jotaro's Star Platinum, Steve Rogers's Blue Liberty which looks like his Captain America persona and Moon Knight's Khonshu who is based on the Marvel Comics' version.
  • Superhuman Transfusion: While recovering at Venice, Joseph offers his blood to Steve which allows the latter to wield Stands.
  • Super Mode: Midnight Peak is where Khonshu is at his most powerful form, being completely invincible.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Steve and Bucky are already trained soldiers with Steve having superhuman abilities. Now having learnt Hamon, their abilities are increased exponentially. Steve would later take it further by learning under Muhammad Avdol, developing a stand of his own Steve names Blue Liberty.
  • What If?: The series starts when Steve Rogers joins Joseph Joestar in rescuing Robert E. O. Speedwagon.
