The sequel taking place just before ''Deathly Hallows' reveals a new threat whom wishes to destroy the Muggle and Wizarding worlds and rebuild them from the ruins of the old.

     Fusion Of Destinies
  • Batman Gambit: Surprisingly Voldemort. He uses the time spell to get the remaining X Parasites, knowing that once the X are revealed no one would think he did it because he isn't known for using anything Muggle related.
  • Call-Back: In order to save Harry's life from X Parasite infestation, Samus injects Harry with her DNA, which contains Metroid DNA.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: The HP-X's existence plays a key role in the X breaking free of Voldemort's control, specifically in that it inherited his obsession with maintaining his free will.
  • Evil Twin: The HP-X is this to Harry.
  • Red Herring. Voldemort seems to be the villain responsible for bringing the X back in time, but Snape denies this, saying that Voldemort would have told him the plan if he was going to do it.
    • Subverted as Voldemort really is the one responsible.
  • Socially Awkward Hero: Samus, considering her upbringing, often has a hard time connecting with other humans and their social norms. Case in point, Ron's Uranus jokes go over her head.
  • Time Travel: There is an spell that is cable of viewing, and taking anything from the future. The catch is that the spell also brings back the best way to counter whatever was brought back.

Fusion Of Destinies 2: Day Of Reckoning
  • And Show It to You: Valerie rips Rodolphus Lestrange's heart out and tosses it at a shocked Bellatrix's feet.
  • Badass Normal: JB Granger full stop. He points a gun to Voldemorts face, and successfully threatens him into giving Harry and Samus vital information regarding Valencia.
  • Drives Like Crazy: During the siege of Washington DC, Harry and Bellatrix are forced to ride around the city in a car, and when Bellatrix has to take the wheel, she makes all sorts of mistakes because she doesn't know a thing about driving.
  • Enemy Mine: Voldemort and the Death Eaters (begrudgingly) agree to work with Harry and Samus in order to defeat Valerie.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Petunia once she is infused with magic.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Bellatrix is genuinely shocked and enraged when Valerie kills her husband.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Fenrir Greyback is just as disgusted as the protagonists for what Umbridge and Scrimgeor did to Valerie when she was a child.
  • Powered Armor: Harry, Hermione, and Ron each get a set when they join Samus on the hunt for the Chozo superweapon.
    • At one point, Bellatrix suggests searching for Salazar Slytherin's armor so that Voldemort can use it. Samus dismisses such an idea, which turns out for the best as the ending reveals that Salazar Slytherin is still alive.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Voldemort spends a good chunk of the story being made a fool of due to being placed in several situations he doesn't understand. Then, Inferno attacks Hogwarts, and Voldemort erupts from the decay heap!
  • We Can Rule Together: Inferno really wants Harry and his friends to join them.
