- Accent Adaptation: In Chapter 3's
Word of God, the author states that while knowing the dub may not have given accents to the characters in the show, she refuses to acknowledge that everyone in Celestial Being would speak in perfect English when they were recruited from across the world especially Setsuna who grew up with his own native language. In this story, everyone have different accents with some like Setsuna and Alellujah had language barriers. - Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Neil wasn't exactly chipper and easygoing in canon, but Amy is even more somber than he is. Justified in that a.) unlike Neil, who had Lyle Amy was the sole survivor and b.) Amy's parents were buying her birthday presents when the bomb went off, causing Amy to have a lot of Survivor Guilt
- Ascended Extra: Amy Dylandy was a minor character who appeared in Neil's flashback in Season 1. Here, she is the main character of this story as Lockon Stratos.
- Berserk Button: Amy's normally extremely composed but flies into a blind fury when Ali taunts her about causing the death of her loved ones.
- Fighting Irish: Like her brothers in the canon, Amy is a capable markswoman and a Gundam Meister of Dynames from Ireland.
- Girl's Night Out Episode: Amy participates this with Christina Sierra and Feldt Grace during their time on Earth.
- I Shall Taunt You: Ali Al Saachez mocks Amy as "Miss Gundam" after finally getting a response from a seemingly quiet Gundam pilot he was fighting with Throne Zwei and taunting it.
- Jerkass: Ali Al Saachez; if anything that's probably too nice a description of him.
- Kick the Dog: When Ali realizes that Amy lost loved ones to the Waterford bombing he goes into intimate detail about how he carried out the attack, and repeatedly taunts her about her loved ones. This bites him in the ass when Amy defeats him.
- Mythology Gag: Amy muses that her brothers Neil and Lyle would have found her codename Lockon Stratos funny. In the show, they hold the title of Lockon Stratos in Season 1 and 2 respectively.
- Not So Stoic: Amy has occasional panic attacks, and when she finally faces Ali Al Saachez, she throws any control out and attacks with the fury of a wild animal. Just like her brothers in the canon.
- Robot Buddy: Just like her brothers in canon, Amy has an Orange Haro as her partner and companion.
- Survivor Guilt: Amy suffers this after learning that her parents and brothers died at the mall bombing.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Amy survived the bombing by not accompanying with her family to the mall but unlike in canon, she is the only survivor. Amy also survives the fight with Ali, with it being ambiguous if Ali did the same.
- Taking You with Me: Amy is forced to attempt this in order to defeat Ali; she survives, but it's unclear whether Ali did as well.
- Tragic Keepsake: Amy holds a teddy bear her brothers bought as a present for her birthday before the mall bombing that took their lives.
- Would You Like to Hear How They Died?: Ali makes sure to describe EVERY detail about how he carried out the strike on the Waterford mall when he realizes Amy lost loved ones in the attack.
- You Monster!: Played with; while she never says it to his face Christina outright refers to Ali as a monster when the Ptolemy crew overhear the conversation between Amy and Ali in mobile suit battle.
