Scooby-Doo! is a comic book series in the Scooby-Doo franchise published by DC Comics that ran from 1997 to 2010. The series is followed by Scooby-Doo! Team-Up.

Scooby-Doo! contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: "Repeat Offender" has a culprit fall in love with Daphne and keep escaping prison to see her.
  • Cassandra Truth: "Unbelievable Beast" has Velma trying to prove her cousin Dexter is innocent of vandalism due to him claiming he saw a very outlandish monster do it. As it turns out, the culprit deliberately chose the costume so people would be less likely to believe any witnesses.
  • Cutting the Knot: Instead of going through a maze like the comic intends to, Shaggy and Scooby just runs through all the walls.
  • Giving Up on Logic: "Behavior Modification" focuses on a scientist trying to use psychological techniques to cure Shaggy and Scooby's scaredy cat behavior. After all her attempts fail, she gives up and declare science don't work on them at all.
  • It's a Wonderful Plot: The appropriately titled "It's A Wonderful Fright" features Shaggy and Scooby being chased yet again, with the former wishing he never got involved with the gang. Shaggy then gets knocked out and has a nightmare where Mystery Inc. was never created, leaving the various crooks they caught free to get away with their crimes and terrorize everyone.
  • Perspective Flip: "You Meddling Kids!" retells the classic episode "A Clue For Scooby Doo" from the perspective of the culprit of the episode, Captain Cutler.
  • Second Place Is for Winners: "Mascot Madness" has Shaggy competing in a mascot design contest, but he doesn't want to win first place. During the awards ceremony it's revealed why: the second-place contestant gets a giant sundae. Shaggy manages to win his preferred prize, much to his delight.
