  • Have You Seen My God?: Something happened (possibly involving the fall of Aeolus) happened that caused them to retreat from the world and (seemingly) abandon Griffonkind. It had also been hinted that one of the precipitating triggers had been the eventual collapse of the last Griffon Empire founded by Garald Goldenclaw which also disillusioned them regarding their mortal worshippers.

Aeolus (introduced here) is the eldest of the five Cardinal Griffon Gods, but fell to evil and became the Satanic Archetype of Griffonkind.

  • The Ace: Was more powerful, skilled, knowledgeable and generally better than his siblings, but unfortunately was corrupted into Evil when he became convinced of his superiority and that of Griffonkind driving him to try and Take Over the World, forcing his siblings to defeat and seal him away.
  • The Dreaded: He's known as 'Griffonkind's Morning Star,' sharing the same place of fear and dread to the Griffons as Morning Star does to other races. His siblings feared his return to such a degree that they didn't settle for simply imprisoning him, but stripping him of his powers, splitting them into five pieces, and scattering those five pieces. When he's finally fully restored, even Eurus can only let out a terrified Little "No".
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Aeolus is comparable to Morning Star in terms of sheer power. To highlight this, just being fully restored causes an supercell spawning F5 tornadoes that soon blankets the Griffonlands in a Catagory 6 hurricane.
  • Satanic Archetype: He's known as 'Griffonkind's Morning Star', and like him is akin to the Lucifer in many ways.
  • Sealed Evil in a Six Pack: He fell to evil, becoming 'Griffonkind's Morning Star', and had to be stopped by his younger siblings. They proceeded to strip him of his power, seal him away, and then split his power into five parts and seal them away seperately. That way if he ever escaped, he'd need to unseal all five parts of his power to be fully restored. Unfortunately, he managed to do exactly that.
  • Top God: He used to rule over the Griffon Pantheon, but fell to evil and had to be imprisoned.
  • White Man's Burden: His driving motivation was to conquer the world and share Griffonkind's then present prosperity with it. He was so extreme in this goal that his younger siblings had to ultimately defeat and seal him away.
  • The Worf Effect: Invoked upon others. When he was released he was so powerful he was able to No-Sell (or at least outsmart) attempts by other powerful or capable beings like Planeswalkers to fight or destroy him with little effort, much to their shock and horror.
