Sonic and the Death Cheese is a fanmade Sonic the Hedgehog radio drama, with voices and sound by InstantSonic and writing by Ayame/DragonXVI.
One peaceful day, Sonic is relaxing when he's suddenly attacked by Dr. Robotnik's latest and greatest weapon of mass destruction, the Death Cheese. A near-death experience is bad enough, but when Robotnik destroys his stereo, Sonic has had enough and ventures to stop his nemesis yet again...if only he can stop the deluge of annoying phone calls. But the Death Cheese lives up to its name, and soon Sonic is stuck in quite the sticky (and cheesy) situation. Can the Blue Blur save the day and cut the Death Cheese in half?
A sequel, Sonic and the Death Cheese 2, was produced with voices and sound again by InstantSonic and writing by Triple Peeps Productions. This time, Robotnik has created a robotic version of Cheese, the Chao pet of Cream the Rabbit, and sets him to infiltrate and eventually destroy Sonic and his friends. Unaware of this, Sonic sets Cream and Tails up on a date, and he and Knuckles do their best to help the romance succeed.

This radio drama and its sequel contain examples of:
- All Just a Dream: The first drama's story turns out to be a dream Sonic is having.
- Catapult Nightmare: Sonic wakes up from his dream of imminent destruction by screaming a Big "NO!" and vaulting out of bed.
- Crazy Enough to Work: Knuckles theorizes that the Death Cheese 2 and the real Cheese colliding will cancel each other out, like matter and antimatter. Against all logic, this works.
- Faux Horrific: After the events of the first story, Sonic runs and screams from Tails innocently offering cheese sandwiches.
- Kinda Busy Here: A running gag is Robotnik getting phone calls from his mom or his buddy Steve, and Sonic getting phone calls from the bank and Tails.
- Make My Monster Grow: The Death Cheese 2 eventually grows colossal-size for no apparent reason, which Tails lampshades.
- Mundane Made Awesome: Somehow, Robotnik's giant cheese is a major threat to Sonic and the entire world with its cheesy aura and roboti-cheese-ifying weapons.
- "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer: Sonic really has to try and convince Tails that a giant cheese both exists and is something to worry about.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: The Death Cheese 2 robot is initially tiny, but packs quite a punch, including missiles and poisonous gas.
- Sticky Situation: Sonic initially finds himself unable to combat the Death Cheese because its cheesy aura is so strong he can't move his legs. This is visualized in the fan animation as cheese literally sticking him to the ground.
- Super Mode: Unable to combat the Death Cheese on his own, Sonic becomes Super Sonic to take the fight to it. He tries to do the same in the sequel, but realizes he doesn't have the Chaos Emeralds with him.
