Happy Heroes: The Movie (开心超人), the first film of the Chinese animated show Happy Heroes, released on June 28th, 2013.

The people of Planet Xing rely as much on the Internet as many people in real life do, but now the planet's biggest resident villains, Big M. and Little M., have a new threat by their side - a villain named Shapeshifter who is going to spread and Internet virus throughout the planet. It's up to the Supermen, as usual, to stop them.

A sequel, Happy Heroes 2: The Battle of Planet Qiyuan, released in 2014.

Happy Heroes: The Movie contains the following tropes:

  • Gonky Femme: The large, buff, masculine-looking nurse is enough to scare Big M. and Little M., accidentally proving the doctor right that they are terrified enough to be taken to the hospital.
  • Impostor-Exposing Test: Trying to distinguish the two Doctor H.s, they pose to them the challenge of fixing a large, complex spaceship. (It was also a convenient way to get that spaceship fixed, since they didn't have the funds to do so otherwise.)
  • My Greatest Failure: An important part of Doctor H.'s back-story is revealed. He swore to never touch a spaceship again.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: While Doctor H. swears to never touch a spaceship again, he overcomes his doubt to fix the spaceship to help people get to safety.
  • Power Copying: Shapeshifter, after downloading the information from a computer.
  • Product Placement: There's a heavy emphasis on characters using the internet, and Chinese websites like Weibo and Taobao are among the ones being used.
  • Shout-Out:
  • The Stinger: The film ends with a post-credits scene that zooms out from Planet Xing, going to a far-off planet where someone is below the ground, kept in a laboratory with an electric force field around them.
  • Throat-Slitting Gesture: Big M. gives Little M. a silent throat-slitting gesture to signal to him that they need to get rid of Careless S., who is looking for Sweet S. just like they are. They attempt to hit him unconscious, to no avail.
  • Title: The Adaptation: The film's official title is roughly "Happy Heroes: The Movie", though many times "The Movie" will be dropped.
  • Variable Terminal Velocity: Both times Happy S. has to dive after Careful S. to save him, he is able to fall fast enough to be able to catch up with him. Perhaps justified in that Happy S. gets an extra boost through his power, however.
  • You, Get Me Coffee: After Big M. fails to defeat the Supermen, the Commander gives him a new mission: order beef noodles and a glass of juice. Big M. assumes he means he wants him and Little M. to eat before they go through with their next plan, but the Commander is just hungry and will give the actual mission afterwards.
