* Subverted in ''Webcomic/KevinAndKell'': Kevin is white, but apparently, he was brown before he began working with computers. However, his daughter, parents and sister are also white (his dad first appears in an ''Alice in Wonderland'' parody, as ''the'' White Rabbit), as are most rabbit extras. His parents are subversions of white rabbits representing purity, his dad is a career criminal, and his mom is (perhaps as a result) a tough-minded cynic.

In RealLife rabbits come in a variety of colors. Most of these colors are a result of breeding for appearance in domestic breeds of rabbit (though as with any animal, breeding exclusively for color can sometimes lead to health problems). Wild rabbits and hares are almost invariably gray or brown in order to aid in camouflage, though some will have white winter coats to blend in with the snow.
