Although quite unhappy with his new city life, Eiji eventually worked up the inspiration to visit Mitsuishi shrine to see the fabled relic of “Oni no Tegata.” This visit and his talks with the shine keepers gave him the motivation to create something from his talent. He worked on a project for the Sansa Odori festival of the next year. He made illustrated Taiko drum covers based off of his knowledge of the tale. The new visuals caught the attention of many tourists and the popularity of the event fluctuated positively. Hope’s Peak looked into Eiji’s behind the scenes work and eventually found that he was a diligent reader and student of folklore and sent him and invitation to attend as the SHSL Yokai Specialist. The rising star of commercial virus research, Sumiko Ihara is the teenage queen of Parasol Pharmaceuticals’ R&D department. Juggling her time between attending school and attending work despite a virus outbreak in the lab some time back that nearly stole her life, her work ethic is to be reckoned with, despite her gyaru-girl image. Though not well known outside the scientific community, she’s received some small amount of newspaper attention recently for her involvement in the publication of a paper of a potential new treatment angle for rhinovirus strains, including the common cold. If you never have to worry about getting the sniffles again in a couple of years, you’ll have her to thank.

Whatever the case, after his murder nothing is quite the same anymore.]]

* TheLancer: To Tetsuo Shingen, in several respects; visually, they have contrasting colour schemes (Tetsuo has [[DarkSkinnedBlonde light hair and dark skin]], with a blue and white colour scheme; Kyo has [[RavenHairIvorySkin black hair and pale skin]] with a red/brown and black colour scheme. Tetsuo is more of a [[TheHero hero]], while Kyo is more of an antihero, due to the former's preoccupation with justice and [[ClosetGeek sillier qualities]] and Kyo's tendency towards [[TranquilFury stronger emotions]], despite his colder exterior. His previous jealousy over Nana definitely counts towards this, too -- add that to the fact that he and [[spoiler: The Judge]] have seemingly encountered one another before, and it all starts to add up.

* DarkSkinnedBlond: Of the white-haired variant.

* AbsoluteCleavage: Featured on her full character sprite.

* IllGirl: She has some [[SoapOperaDisease nonspecific]] damage to her respiratory tract after an outbreak of a dangerous virus strain in her lab, causing shortness of breath and possible fainting under high exertion or stress, and some non-fatal [[BloodFromTheMouth Blood From The Mouth]] if she coughs too hard for whatever reason.
