* ActOfTrueLove: When a bolt of ice strikes Anna's heart, a wise Troll informs the victim that "Only an Act of True Love can thaw a frozen heart." Everyone listening assumes that it's TrueLovesKiss and acts accordingly. Unfortunately, Hans, the prince to whom Anna is engaged, turns out to be a villain who was was just using her for a shot at Arendelle's throne, and leaves her to die. Anna, on the verge of turning to ice from the inside out, then gives up her chance to kiss Kristoff and presumably save her own life, in order to block Hans' sword and save Elsa's life. It's through laying down her life for her sister's that Anna's curse is broken, and she comes back to life.

Cool Loser TRS cleanup, has been renamed to Unconvincingly Unpopular Character and is a YMMV audience reaction.

* CoolLoser: {{Justified|Trope}}. Even though Anna is a princess and is beautiful and caring, she grows up without any friends because she's locked away in a castle with few other people. Meanwhile, her sister Elsa starts avoiding Anna in an attempt to keep her secret powers under control, but since Anna doesn't know this is Elsa's reason, this leads her to believe Elsa doesn't care about her.

Anything That Moves is a disambiguation

* AnythingThatMoves: {{Downplayed|Trope}}, {{Deconstructed}} JustifiedTrope. Having spent the majority of her life isolated and [[FriendlessBackground feeling lonely, abandoned and generally unloved]], Anna [[DesperatelyCravesAffection is so desperate for love]] and unaware of what a healthy relationship really looks like that she falls for the first guy that she meets. This is one of the cases of this trope where the character is not promiscuous - in fact, Anna agrees to commit to him and [[FourthDateMarriage accepts his proposal the day they meet]], believing that he's her OneTrueLove, in part because her years of isolation left her [[ThinksLikeARomanceNovel quite naive]]. Further {{justified|Trope}} by the fact that Hans turns out to be an OpportunisticBastard taking advantage of her vulnerability and [[ManipulativeBastard actively manipulating her]]. The Chick is now a disambig, dewicking

* TheChick: Excluding Elsa, Anna is the only girl between herself, Kristoff, Hans, Sven, and Olaf, and Elsa barely interacts with those characters. She is also the emotional and feminine centerpiece of a group of characters that are male. All of the other characters' purpose centres around Anna and her journey. Anna's main motivations are to bring everyone together and keep everyone together for the common goal of bringing back summer to Arendelle.

* {{Reconstruction}}: Of TheHeart and TheIngenue. Much like TheChick of old, Anna's main strength isn't so much her smarts, experience, or power, but her care for the people around her and her determination to save them from their darker sides. However, this doesn't mean she has to be [[TheLoad completely useless]], [[SatelliteCharacter completely based around those she cares about]], or that she [[NeutralFemale can't have agency in the plot]]. It [[DeconstructedTrope does take its toll on her]], though, and her naivety and the emotional toll of retaining her faith in and devotion to her sister, despite Elsa's aloof behaviour, leave her vulnerable to ManipulativeBastard Hans, who takes advantage of her heart to [[GoldDigger get close to the throne]]. They also nearly get her killed when she chooses to help Elsa, but her faith in her sister is ultimately validated; Elsa really is, as Anna chooses to believe, a HeroWithBadPublicity, and much of the damage Elsa causes really is unintentional, the result of PowerIncontinence. Anna gets to [[CharacterDevelopment grow and readjust her understanding of love]] without having to turn all cynical or lose any of her warmth and sweetness.

trope was renamed to Diagnosed By The Audience, but it's YMMV

* AmbiguousDisorder: After spending many years isolated away from people and locked in a castle, Anna displays hyperactive behavior such as extreme restlessness, an inability to sit still for too long, a serious case of racing thoughts along with MotorMouth, and impulsive and reckless behavior. Her InksuitActor, Creator/KristenBell, has said in interviews that she felt "weird" growing up and wanted to help kids who felt different to accept themselves by creating a character who was also that way - who was awkward and goofy and klutzy and hyperactive, who talked a lot and to themselves and who often put their foot in their mouth, yet was still a good person who was loving and determined.

All Loving Heroine is listed instead of All Loving Hero, which is why I tried improving the wording at points.

* GoodIsNotDumb: Zigzagged. One of her main weaknesses is that she [[DidNotThinkThisThrough sometimes makes rash decisions]], and being locked up most of her life has also left her rather naive. Both of these ''do'' get her hurt, and other characters question her idealism. After her attempts to help Elsa leave her with a deadly curse, her fiance reveals himself to have been a GoldDigger and mocks her for trying to help Elsa, sneering "You were dumb enough to go after her!" On the flip side, her optimisism and kindness allow her to retain her faith in HeroWithBadPublicity Elsa despite so much evidence against her. She is also rather clever sometimes, saving Kristoff from wolves and falling off a cliff with her quick thinking, and can be remarkably perceptive, realizing that Elsa isn't malicious like she seems. After being frozen by Elsa (with''out'' any way of knowing it was an accident) and Hans betraying her, she still rejects GoodIsDumb and chooses to continue to believe in and sacrifice her life for Elsa. Her compassion isn't just a product of naivety - she really is ThePollyanna and an AllLovingHero - and it pays off.

As of Frozen II, not all of Anna's outfits have green in them; her wheat-colored dress in "Some Things Never Change" and her adventuring dress (which is mainly black and orange) both lack any green.

** Green. Every single one of her outfits has at least a green element to it, even her iconic "winter dress", which has green leaves and stems as part of the floral motif. Most even have it as their primary color. It's also present in her ''Frozen Fever'' and queen dresses. If you're familiar with the symbolism of the Chakras: green stands for the Heart Chakra or [[ThePowerOfLove love - Anna's power]].
