* LaserGuidedKarma: They all get their due in the end, thanks to the ''Astra'' crew handing every piece of information they could to their police. Yes, this even includes a ''king''.
* OffingTheOffspring: Their end goal. [[spoiler: In story, they attempted to murder their children by sending them into outer space thousands of light years away to hide their bodies, but even if they didn't do that, they were planning on erasing their children's consciousnesses so that they could take over their bodies.]]

** Aries' mother, who seems the most unconnected to the clones plot and is the most openly upset about losing her daughter in space. [[spoiler:Well, she's not as unconnected as one might think, given that she's a former servant of the Vixian royal family and the surrogate mother of Seira's clone, Aries.]]

* WouldHurtAChild: Given that they wanted to get rid of every trace of clones from the project, they were perfectly willing to take out Funi too.

* ApologizesALot: Due to her awful self-esteem, she spends most of her time in the early parts of the story saying sorry. In the anime, her first action on-screen is to apologize, and then apologize ''again'' a few moments later in response to [[UpToEleven a comment that wasn't even directed at her.]]

* BlindingBangs: A more realistic version of this trope than usual, but Kanata correctly deduces that Yun-hua wears her bangs long to hide her face. After her ImportantHaircut, she wears them much shorter and parted to the side.

* TheUnfavourite: His parents prefer his younger brother over him because he isn't "wholly male" and is adopted.

Naturally athletic , Kanata is a highly trained decathlete. He competed in the decathlon event in the latest Under-20 World Championships, taking home the overall bronze medal. Influenced by the dreams of his late mentor, he wants to be a space explorer someday.

* EvenTheGuysWantHim: We learn at least that Luca finds him attractive like all the girls do, while they're still on the third planet.

* JavelinThrower: His primary weapon while out foraging is the Luca Lance, a spear that Luca whittled while on the first planet. Given his history as a decathlete, javelin throwing is right up his alley.

* VicariouslyAmbitious: Kanata's father pretty much shafted his expectations in sports onto him, which he very much didn't want. The boy only returned to sports out of a desire for personal growth, but his father immediately exploited his desires to get the athlete he's always wanted out of him. [[spoiler:Once everyone learns what exactly he was born for, his father's constant pressure to go down a similar career path becomes clearer, and ''way'' more vile.]]

* SharedUnusualTrait: She has heterochromia, with her left eye being green and her right eye brown. [[spoiler:We learn later on that it's a handy visual marker for her being the clone of Princess Seira, since she has the same thing.]]

* CoolBigSis: Eventually becomes this to Funi after the first planet.

* TheGlassesGottaGo: Her glasses are actually [[PurelyAestheticGlasses non-prescription]], and she wears them as to not stand out. After her issues concerning her past are resolved, she stops wearing them.
* HeroicSelfDeprecation: Her self esteem is the pits, honestly speaking. With a combination of her upbringing and her being surrounded by talented, helpful people (whereas she has no specialization besides [[WhatKindOfLamePowerIsheartAnyway singing]]), she finds herself thinking that she's the dead weight of the team and even offers to ''strand herself'' on the second planet to give B5 one less mouth to feed resource-wise.
* HugeSchoolgirl: She's the tallest of the girls and only shorter than Kanata by one inch. Her height is actually one of the many things she's deeply self-conscious about- her mother has raised her not to draw attention to herself, but her height makes her stick out immediately.
* ImportantHaircut: Gets one after the debacle at the second planet.

* OutOfFocus: After her focus episode on the second planet, she becomes a background character to the point of not even having a speaking role in some episodes and only appearing in the background for group scenes.
* ShrinkingViolet: Very much a wallflower type of person, and is somewhat awkward and quiet with the rest of the team due to her upbringing. She starts to come out of her shell after the second planet.

* DefrostingIceKing: Slowly starts to warm up to the others in the group after the incident on the third planet.

* IWorkAlone: Generally keeps to himself as the "lone wolf" on the team, but does have a small soft spot for Funi. Eventually sheds this aspect of his personality after the third planet.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Even before the events on Planet Arispade, Ulgar shows moments of warmth in his interactions with Funi. After his CharacterDevelopment, he's much more openly nice.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: His hair is a bright purple.

* BeautyMark: Has one below her mouth, just like her mother.

* TheNarrator: She serves as the primary narrator of the manga, writing down logs as they travel through space and giving her thoughts about certain subjects.
