There is VideoGame.Dead Space, and then there's VideoGame.Dead Space 1. Most of the content seems to be the same. What is going on here? Is this a page split that was not properly executed?

Just finished reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline and watched the movie. I was born in 1974 so I am very much a Gen Xer. Reading this book brought back lots of childhood memories even if the author failed to include any GIRL 80's nostalgia (Francine Pascal anyone?) Anyway, when I was a girl in 1983-85 we had the Atari 2600 Video Game System and we had a few games including Pac-Man but there was another game I can't remember the name of but I would know the screen shot if I saw it. I haven't thought about this game in probably 40 years! It was played with the paddles not the joystick and up to four players could play because the object was to destroy everyone else's "fort" that had a flag inside. Little dots flew around the screen that you deflected with your paddle and if the walls around your "fort" located in each corner of the screen were penetrated creating holes and your flag was hit-you were out. What was the name of this Atari game? I have already searched lists of Atari games and can't find it anywhere. Such game titles as Flag Capture or Defender are NOT IT. Please help.

On Jan 20 Necrodomo restored this example, with edit reason saying I haven't explained its removal properly, but they've missed two things.
Firstly, I've moved the example to the main page, and I was working with other subpages at the time, so a quick glance would confirm the example is in fact on the main page, so now there's a duplicate. Secondly, Art-Style Dissonance is not Audience Reactions or subjective (the writing could be better), so per What Goes Where on the Wiki it shouldn't have been there in the first place.
I've sent them a notifier right away, but they don't seem to be an active editor, so the reply may take who knows how long, and I can't remove it again because that would be edit-warring. So now what?
- Art-Style Dissonance: The campaign in III says outright that the Inferno faction represents the Kreegans from Might and Magic, a race of Planet Looters who look somewhat demon-like and are erroneously thought to be demons and devils by the unknowing inhabitants of planets they invade. Besides the story fragments in the campaign, everything else about the art, lore descriptions, hero biographies, unit design, etc. of the Inferno makes it clear that the people on the development team who cared about the plotline of Might and Magic had absolutely no say in the design of this faction, as the Inferno are a bunch of generic demons and devils from Fire and Brimstone Hell with no resemblance whatsoever to the Kreegans. This was actually a good thing for the Game Mod community and the appeal of III to a wider audience, but it's pretty jarring when playing through the campaign and standalone missions that involve Kreegans.

open Work Page Not Able to Link or Showing Up on Searches Videogame
I added a work page for a video game and followed the directions of changing the URL and then editing and saving the page. I changed it to Video Game/Wytchwood and edited the first page, and saved it. I also added a character page. Nothing pulls up the main Video Game page for Wytchwood if I search it, but it will pull up the character page I added to it. Also, if I try to add the game as an example by uisng Video Game/Wytchwood, it won't link. Since the work's title is one word, do you have to do something extra to set it up?

Last month the validity of a Unintentionally Unsympathetic entry on Halo's Infinite YMMV page was qustioned due to conflicting with an Author's Saving Throw entry, and it was decided it would be better off as Broken Base, pending the six months wait. It was thus removed with a clear edit reason as to why.
dinur7 who added original the entry re-added it about a week ago.
This is pretty clearly an edit war now, and the entry should be removed.
That said, I also ask if the Saving Throw entry should removed as well, since it's the other half of the Broken Base.

I've edited MythologyGag.Nickelodeon All Star Brawl on various occasions in the past few months to add examples, some of which include external links to help back them up. (Here are some instances of this.) On the 12th of this month, pgj1997 removed several of these links, explaining in an edit reason after the fact that Weblinks Are Not Examples.
While I understand the policy, I made an effort to write all of my examples such that the connection between something in the game and the original series it's based on was evident from the text alone, which means that their edits seem like they're overreaching. Put another way, I tried to abide by what the page itself says:
- It is always preferable to use outside links as additional tools to clarify, enhance, or provide reference to a detailed example's content, rather than using them in place of the detailed example itself. In short, weblinks are to supplement context, but never substitute for context.
I don't want to risk edit warring, so I wanted to bring up the matter here to get others' opinions on this before taking any action.

This is my first time witnessing one of these, so I do apologise for the lack of substantial information. I once removed the trope Too Bleak, Stopped Caring (once known as Darkness Induced Audience-Apathy) on YMMV.Girls Frontline because as far as I known the trope was added mainly centering around the time Polarized Light was the most recent story event, and a lot have changed since then. Since Polarized Light came around, Chapter 13 now exist to fix the cliffhanger-like nature of the story event. Beside, Dual Randomness, Mirror Stage, and Poincare Reoccurrence. Assuming Girls' Frontline's audience, I have seen evidence that the players actually still cared about the story unlike with how most fans of the first The Last of Us reacted negatively to plot points of The Last of Us Part II. The Girls' Frontline fanbase has a notable amount of people who have kept their intrigue and interest in the story despite what the Too Bleak, Stopped Caring example has implied. If the audience stopped caring about Girls' Frontline's story when Polarized Light came out, I can assure that many would miss out on Mirror Stage's story, and the example so far has no mention of that story event anywhere. The pothole to Doomed by Canon in a YMMV page is also very concerning as well and I have heard the trope should not be presented as reinforcing an example on a YMMV page.
It is because a user named minusmagniaxe has once re-added the example several months ago with a reason that I'll paraphrase as "it's a YMMV page so eh". I do know that minusmagniaxe is almost 100% not the original troper who once added that example, but since I tried to remove the example with succinct reasons for it, during last month (December 2021) the user had readded the example with no clear reason. Eventually, in January, it has devolved into an "cold" edit war between me and that same user, and when the example was readded four days ago, I decided it would be best to stop trying to remove the example entirely. I have already mentioned Mirror Stage, a story event from Girls' Frontline earlier, and so far the example has no mention of it despite my gut reasoning Polarized Light and Mirror Stage both have an alleged reason to be listed on the example. The lack of Mirror Stage content in the example so far leads me to assume they were technically attempting to rollback the article to a previous version, the most recent one which had the example before I decided I had learned enough information to deem it not suitable an example to keep roiling around. User minusmagniaxe has so far has only recently shown this interest in the game Girls' Frontline since April 2021. I have doubt the user has heard of any story events in Girls' Frontline since Polarized Light's debut (Dual Randomness, Mirror Stage, Poincare Reoccurence)
I have no idea what really should be done to the example anymore — but so far, for me, it seems like the example does not really represent Girls' Frontline and the fanbase as a whole, and runs antithesis to how the GFL community invests time into the story with continued interest into deep analysis of the story no matter if the example derides the story as such. (Polarized Light is almost 2 years old technically...)

From the YMMV page for Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach (see bolded part):
- Misblamed: Due to being the first big project after Scott's retirement, many have taken to blaming Steel Wool for all the game's issues, with the most vocal outright accusing them of "stealing" Scott's franchise with the intention of running it to the ground for a quick buck. This ignores that Scott still had a large amount of involvement with this game, Steel Wool is a very small company attempting to make what is for all intents and purposes a AAA game, and that their previous FNAF game didn't suffer from any of the problems this game did (and in fact is one of the most widely-loved games in the series). Some of the oddities with the plot and Vanny's awkward handling also seems to stem from last-minute censorship, possibly from Sony.
This is pure speculation. I could find no source for this except for one Reddit post speculating if Sony censored the game. It's equally (if not more given how buggy the game is) possible that the devs simply ran out of time to do anything with Vanny. This feels like the writer throwing some shade at Sony. Cut?

A troper by the name of Onodera Tearer has been unfairly removing legitimate video game examples from the pages of the Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega 32X, and Sega Saturn without giving a valid reason. I've tried getting in contact with them via PM in asking why they're doing this, but I've got no response so far and from what I've seen, they've continued to do this even after my first PM to them. I don't want any trouble to come out of this, but is there any way to inform them that what they're doing is wrong while also reverting their edits at the same time as well?

On December 22nd, Troper The Living Drawing removed these tropes from Kingdom Come Deliverance's YMMV page with the edit reason of "Removed several examples that, while potentially valid, are very complainy. Have not played the game and have little knowledge on it so if you have, please feel free to rewrite the removed examples to me more neutral.":
- Archery is probably the fakest of all "difficult" things in the game. There is no aiming dot visible, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. In fact, the game simply turns off the aiming dot when bows are drawn with a crudely written script. There is absolutely nothing preventing players from simply marking or memorizing the dot on display and then have perfect aim, regardless of skill, bow type or distance. The absurd sway of bows for first five levels of the skill only adds to how fake it really is, because if the aiming dot is marked (or displayed with a console command), the aim remains perfect despite displaying sway all over the screen.
- The game never really informs how to train, so if natural progress is applied with the plot progression, Henry is going to be constantly and heavily under skilled. However, spending just 30 minutes with Captain Bernhard and whacking him with random Button Mashing is enough to train Henry into formidable fighter, raising half of his stats and generally turning the whole game into a cakewalk with most of enemies unable to even hit back.
- Each and every camp full of bandits can be cleared with ease during night-time, by carefully picking them one by one. Not only does it allow the player to skip otherwise tough (or outright impossible) encounters, it's considerably easier to do than just trying to face few brigands on your own in a sword fight. Of course the game never informs about how stealth or stealth kills work, so unless player figures it out by applying common sense, good luck with all those encounters when trying to face bandits in straight-out combat.
- The entire barter system relies on Henry's relationship with the vendor: he has to lower his bids for a long time to gain enough favour to get better prices (and better bids) in the future. Cue miller Peshek, who via finishing his quest line gains 100% favour. And since he's miller, he buys stolen goods. His merchant list is also scripted to pay premium for a lot of things regardless of favour. And if one particular vendor is constantly fed new items, their cash reserve increases during restocking. Eventually Peshek can easily carry 50 thousand groschen, buying whatever and offering decent prices at that. Just don't expect the game explaining any of this at any point.
- Fake Longevity: The game has few very blatant cases of intentionally making certain trival tasks take extra time. It is so widespread, numerous reviewers pointed this as an outright trick to claim "100 hours of gameplay", despite 20 or so is going to be filled with tedium.
- All the copious, lengthy and unskippable animations. They add absolutely nothing to the game, aside few extra seconds every time certain action is taken. Haggle and horse (dis)mounting is probably most guilty of this and also some of the most repeated actions.
- Fast travel on map can only be done over pre-planned paths and only toward handful of pre-made points of interest. In practice, this leads to Henry taking in-game hours to circle back and forth over particularly twisted path over a hillside or taking a detour over half of the map. And it doesn't matter if he's on foot or riding - the speed of fast travel is exactly the same, so once a mount is acquired, it's considerably faster to just ride manually rather than use the "fast" travel option.
- Additionally with horses, they move much slower on roads than off them. Most of the time, it's better to ride close to the road to keep track of where you're going, but not so close that the horse automatically attempts to get on it.
- Henry can't swim. Period. He can't ford rivers even when on horseback. Said rivers aren't deep and lack rapids of any sorts. Still, it takes to find what the game considers as a ford (where the water tends to be ankle-deep) or a bridge, which means a lot of back-and-forth travel toward nearest pass over river.
- Misaimed "Realism": The game was heavily marketed under "super-realism" flag, but this backfires badly at certain game mechanics, especially since how uneven the application of said "realism" is, breaking the immersion entirely rather than enhancing it.
- Probably the most glaring is just about anything related with inventory management. You can carry around few tonnes of equipment and the only downside will be being forced into the walking pace of movement. Get yourself on horseback and even that no longer applies. Oh, and saddle bags on your horse come with a teleport, since you can move in and out items regardless of where the horse is, unless ongoing quest intentionally disables that option (which only ever happens twice).
- Said saddle bags have a limited load they can carry, but there is nothing preventing Henry from overloading himself and then simply get on horseback.
- The weapons seem to be made out of foil and raw copper, that's how quickly they wear out. They also never really break down, just reach the state of "disrepair", meaning a simple debuff to damage. And you would grind any given blade into nothingness when using grindstone so often as Henry does.
- Probably the most glaring is just about anything related with inventory management. You can carry around few tonnes of equipment and the only downside will be being forced into the walking pace of movement. Get yourself on horseback and even that no longer applies. Oh, and saddle bags on your horse come with a teleport, since you can move in and out items regardless of where the horse is, unless ongoing quest intentionally disables that option (which only ever happens twice).
- That One Level: Needle in A Haystack. Working with the Neuhof bandits, Henry is tasked with infiltrating a monastery in order to track a straggler down, kill him and bring proof to the bandits that the target is dead. What follows is allegedly the most annoying quest in the whole game according to fans. First of all, it's a No-Gear Level, so you can't bring your weapons inside to kill the target. Second, since you're a novice, you're at the bottom of the monk hierarchy, meaning that you live under the authority of the hated Circators, monks who are supposed to keep order in the monastery and punish monks who break the rules. However, since you are being tasked with killing someone in the monastery, you WILL have to break many rules with your time in there, specially if you choose to do the sidequests that the monastery offer, which involves ludicrous amounts of lockpicking and pickpocketing, sneaking in and out of the monastery constantly, missing out on your schedule (and getting punished for that), getting lost and much more. Oh, and did we mention that all of this is done without a single Savior Schnapps in your inventory?
- Thankfully, the quest can be skipped, but it'll give you its "bad ending". There is an ornamental dagger hidden under a paving stone on the balcony next to the dormitory. If you don't mind a bit of collateral damage you can murder all the novices in their sleep, grab the spare set of keys from the pantry and escape within five minutes of the first night without needing any preplanning - apart from needing the Stealth Kill perk. Yes, it skips the whole quest and yes, it gives you a bad ending for it, but admit it, it's smart and it's understandable to do it.
- However, should Henry be a competent thief-type, the entire quest goes from That One Level to the best part of the entire game, as the main obstacle - lack of gear - is meaningless when all doors can be opened and circators avoided with stealth. It still requires overcoming various challenges, but in engaging and simply fun way.
No less than 30 minutes later, troper Stanisz added all of them back and commented them out with the reason "If you expect people to correct the tone, how about leaving them content to correct, rather than just cutting it?" Around a week later, troper C Dan Red removed the commenting symbol and made the FakeDifficulty entry public with no edit reason.
Seeing Stanisz's reason, I decided to take a look at it myself and edited the entries, with my own edit reason being "Grammar fixes, removed some entries (Miller seems more like Game-Breaker, Stealth is explained in the codex, and others are not that bad or seem to just be complaining), and tried to adjust the tone a tad to be more neutral." One of those removed entries was this, since most of it seemed to be unsalvageable complaining and one-sided:

resolved Kingdom Come: Deliverance page quote Videogame
The current page quote for Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a bothersomely-gushy review quote that (even putting aside my...rather complicated opinion of the individual the quote comes from) I'm not sure works as well as a quote from the game would. At first, I thought of replacing it with the first line of the opening narration, particularly since the Memetic Mutation example on the game's YMMV page seems to imply that the line is well-known among the game's audience. But I haven't yet played the game, so I'm not sure if there's a better quote. Does anyone have any ideas?

The user DOBLEDEDO made some edits to Metroid: Zero Mission claiming that Samus is captured (and handcuffed) in a sequence near the end, where she loses her Power Suit.
Aside from being untrue as far as I can tell (the cutscene shows her ship crashing, and she begins outside the enemy ship next to her own wrecked ship; I haven't found any sort of supplemental material which contradicts this)...the user's edit history has a strange theme.
EDIT: They've made a second edit, talking about a "prison level", which definitely doesn't exist.
That is to say, every single edit they've made (which granted is only about a dozen, back in 2018 until this one four years later) is about a female character being captured and restrained (which, if that's their thing, fair enough; but there's a time and a place).
