openInclude this Example?
Hi!
I've been recently working on a trope called "Cathartic Crying". I was thinking of including an example from WandaVision where Wanda's breakdown at the empty lot causes her magic to act out and create the alternate reality. I thought that since she had gone tearless before this moment, it would qualify for my trope-in-progress, but what do you all think? Here's the link to look at what I've written for "Cathartic Crying":

openAdding trope types
I have seen some tropes on here that have specific "types." Each type is usually given a Roman numeral, and examples of the trope usually say which type it is. I can't remember any specific examples of this now, though.
Are trope types still allowed? Can we add them to trope pages that don't currently have them? Could they maybe go on a different subpage, like Analysis?
I have noticed that the trope Repulsive Ringmaster has at least 3 different "types," though they're too similar to the trope to be subtropes.
Edited by DrNoPumaopenHow do you launch a trope as YMMV
I am going to soon be launching a YMMV trope and I need to know how do I launch it and mark it as YMMV since I can't figure out how it is done or how I do it?
openPosthumous Popularity Potential
W Hy is there the word "Potential" in Posthumous Popularity Potential?
openFNF Minus Videogame
So it's announced on Twitter that each of the three Boyfriend characters in Friday Night Funkin' Minus will say something when selected on the character select menu. I wanted to add that in to the trope page, but I dunno which trope explains something about ”character saying something when selected". And yes, I tried Googling it, no matches for my search.
If there's no trope for that atm, then we kinda need a TLP for this.

VideoGame.Bunny Must Die... Was it moved?
It looks like Bunny Must Die... We don't do Custom Titles like that, right?
Or was Sandbox.Windows Games, the only user of VideoGame.Bunny Must Die Chelsea And The 7 Devils?
Edited by MaladyopenPlagiarized Recap Page
So today, Mr Heroes recreated Recap.Genshin Impact after the original page had been cut for being a stub. However, they plagiarized whole summaries from the Genshin Impact Wiki; the Prologue, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.
resolved Creator on trope index page
Cirque du Soleil and Cirque Du Soleil Index are listed on Circus Index. I don't think I've seen anything like this before. I'm 99.99% certain this isn't allowed, but I want to be sure. Can we remove these?
openAgenda Troper? Maybe?
Don't know if I'm being paranoid here, so I'd appreciate some insight.
I'm wondering if Mateo Vrubel (edit history) has an agenda in their edits. Their earliest edits are for Sherlock and John Watson from the BBC series—they have deleted mentions of Sherlock's relationship with Irene, John being a Shipper on Deck for it, and a commented-out Heterosexual Life-Partners entry, all without edit reasons. Maybe these are valid deletions, maybe not, but I'm wary of ship-biased editing here.
However, more concerning are their edits for Harper from the new iCarly series and Klaus from The Umbrella Academy. Mateo has edited mentions of their pansexuality and changed them to say that the characters are bisexual. They factually are pansexual—Klaus via Word of God and Harper confirmed as much in the pilot episode.
I really don't want to make a false accusation of panphobia. Could I get some input?

Arctic Yoshi 45 seems to have used a Nannybot on SugarWiki.Genius Programming (and Hive Queen yesterday). I'll revert shortly.

Per the page's edit history, we have an Edit War in progress.

openRestoring a cut page?
Is there a way to do this? I made a page a while back for Far Cry: Rite of Passage where I basically just laid out an outline with a description and started a WMG page with some guesses I had off the cuff (I'm passionate, sorry) but it got cut for being a stub. Is there a way to restore it? We're now two issues in and have a fair bit to jot down and discuss.
openMore "So It Sucks" prerelease and other
YMMV.The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword
- It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: The HD Remaster gained this stigma as soon as it was announced, with the more subtle upgrade not going down well for fans that love bloom filters in their remasters.
- Fandom Rivalry: The HD remaster gained one against Sonic Colors when its Ultimate Edition was announced. The fact that Sonic was $20 less didn't help.
Last I asked, prerelease "It Sucks" should be moved to Tainted by the Preview, is this a valid thing to move? "Twilight Princess HD" didn’t have this backlash so... (I’d as It Sucks Cleanup but it hasn't had any activity since I brought it another issue a month ago.)
Not sure about Fandom Rivalry. Being 1/3 cheaper doesn't seem that big a deal as "Skyward" is many times longer. And they are very different games so...
openWorkshop for creating Work Pages
I need a workshop for a work page that I'm drafting on, that is, Sandbox.Cheat Slayer manga. I require some help as I'm unfamiliar with creating work pages that are high-quality in nature.
open Total War Warhammer III YMMV Edit War Videogame
I’m looking at Total War: Warhammer III, and it looks like there’s an edit war breaking over whether the mixed reaction’s over Kislev’s love of bears counts as Broken Base or Tainted by the Preview. I think I might have brought this up already, but if I have, I’ve forgotten, so can this be settled now before it gets too far out of hand?
openWhy was Battlefield 2042 cut? Videogame
Yesterday Silverblade 2 commented out all but one trope on Battlefield 2042 citing guidelines on new works. Well I went back and restored them with as many citations as fit in the text. However, I wake up today and the whole page is deleted citing "Not enough cited tropes, page is a stub" with no new posts on the Unreleased Work Page Cleanup thread. There were at least a dozen tropes on there with pre-release material and a launch date to go off of! What gives? What do I have to do to restore it?

estella86545 looks like the 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th coming of that one ban evader who keeps coming back for Danganronpa and Mario spinoffs.
openAdaptational Context Change
The examples on Adaptational Context Change are sorted by the medium of the original work, rather than the adaptation. For example, the film adaptation of a book goes under "Literature", rather than "Film". Why is this? Every other adaptation trope does it the other way around, because that's what makes sense. Can we change this?
Edited by nw09
I'm part of a few forum cleanup threads, and sometimes when a troper repeatedly makes problematic edits, somebody tries hollering them to the thread. But the thing is, most of the time from what I've seen, when a user tries to holler another user, they rarely if ever come to the thread.
Does hollering actually work?
