This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Antvasima contains a reference to Darwinist which has been renamed to Social Darwinist.
Everything can be found on the Internet... except common sense.I'm not terribly concerned about that page since it's for a banned troper. In fact... cutlist!
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Prince of Persia links BFM which has been renamed to Epic Movie.
This space for rent. Cost: your soul. Here's a bunch of tropes I started that has The Bible in their list of examples. Can't add them there myself, since that page is locked.
- The Golden Rule: Used in the stories about Jesus. Invoked by the main character as a moral principle, and also used as An Aesop in several of the parables (short stories within the main story). The most famous is the story of the Good Samaritan.
- Notably averted (or subverted, depending on your interpretation) in The Book Of Job, where God becomes a Jerkass to Job because God's on a bet with Satan.
- Rape and Revenge: In the book of Genesis, Dinah's brothers kill Shechem (and all the men in his village) after he "lay with her by force," or "subdued her," or "violated her." Their father was not impressed.
- Defiled Forever: In the old testament there are several rules regarding purity and defilement. The book of Deuteronomy, chapter 22 for example demands death penalty for various forms of sex outside marriage, but notably clears the woman if rape is proven (she was heard crying for help) or assumed (there's no way to prove she WASN'T crying for help), making this a slight yet notable aversion.
- The Commandments: In western civilization often considered the Ur-Example.
- Jaywalking Will Ruin Your Life: The first two people decide to have a bit of fruit, resulting in the fall of man and eternal punishment.
- To be fair, they had been warned that this was the only tree from which they could not eat, and their introduction of imperfection necessitated serious repercussions.
- Enigmatic Empowering Entity: This role is fulfilled by God as he show himself to Moses in a burning bush.
- Faux Empowering Entity: Satan arguably fills this role as he's tempting Jesus with empty/meaningless promises in the desert.
- Final Solution: The Bible has many cases of this. Some carried out by various heroic kings, some carried out by God himself. In all cases, it's treated as a good thing. The three most famous cases are:
- Noah and the flood — Mankind misbehaves? Let's exterminate all life on the planet! (Except for one family and their pets.)
- Sodom — Mankind misbehaves? Let's exterminate all life in this small nation! (Except for one family — and maybe their pets, if they had any.)
- Book of Revelation — Mankind misbehaves? Let's exterminate all life on the planet! Again! (And as in the two previous versions, some good people get spared. And this time, good dead people are resurrected, too.)
- Would Be Rude to Say "Genocide": All the cases of Final Solution in The Bible use Type A ( = the genocide is considered justified): God is the definition of goodness, so whatever population of human beings he chose to exterminate (or have exterminated by his followers) automatically qualifies as Always Chaotic Evil.
- Heaven Seeker: with Jesus and most of his followers.
- The Soulsaver: Jesus dying on the cross saved the souls of all who believe in Him, both those who had died before Him like Abraham and people who came after Him. (Some interpretations have him literally going To Hell and Back to retrieve the righteous dead.)
- Scam Religion: Moses expose the polytheism of Egypt as a scam religion by calling down ten plagues. Each plague is directed against one major Egyptian deity, but each time the polytheistic priesthood is unable to do anything about it.
- Unwanted False Faith: Acts 14, Paul of Tarsus and Barnabus are witnessing in one Greek city and performing some miracles while they were at it. The citizens of the city were convinced that they were the Gods, Hermes and Zeus respectively and set up a whole procession to sacrificing to them as such. The apostles had to go to considerable lengths trying to make them to stop. This, in turn, made it easier for troublemakers to convince the very same citizens to attempt stoning Paul and Barnabus to death.
Can we be clear - you want those entries, as written, added to The Bible page?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Antvasima is banned? I thought that had been revoked or something. I saw her posting as "antva2" and "antva", but on the message board side of the Sliding Scale Of Antiheroes her name often showed up as the full "Antvasima".
Is it ok to request an examples for "Stop Having Fun" Guy?
Absolutely not. We are not going down that slippery slope again.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Why not? According to Locked Pages article, it was locked only because of a TINY portion of it while the rest of the examples were perfectly fine.
We're not opening that can of worms again. At least, I don't think that's FE's policy right now.
Nothing good could come of opening that page to examples, especially when it's basically a platform for complaining about authors. No, thank you, there are lots of places on the Internet to bitch about people that are not TV Tropes.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch has this.
BTW, the inverse can happen as well. Someone could complain about a part of a show, and it may actually be worse than the person thinks. It's very rare, but it happens.
Change it to this.

It also has 3 quotes.

For when I am off my main computer. On the page quote for Brother–Sister Incest, could someone pothole [those games] to H-Games, just to make it more clear?

Fighteer: I think Xzenu does want those added as is to the Bible page if you've not done it already. They look fine to me.
BFM has been blanked and locked after being renamed, despite the fact that the name brought almost 3,000 people to the wiki. It should be a redirect.
The folks who asked for a rename did not object to its use as a redirect. It was not renamed due to misuse as an initialism (there was none), merely an acronym that was felt to be too vague. Point is, the redirect is needed or persons off-wiki will not be able to find the page. (I just checked google and the page is now invisible to persons looking for the old name.) The locking also excessive, given opinions ran about 60-40 on the rename itself.

Abbreviations like that are generally no-nos for redirects, as this page says. There are a few exceptions, but they are mostly of abbreviations very very very widely used by fans. This...isn't one of those cases.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)This isn't a new redirect. It's the former name of a trope that has nearly 3,000 inbound links. There is no evidence of misuse and that's why the consensus of the rename discussion itself was to switch redirects.
People have to be able to find the page. I know people like to be inflexible here on the wiki due to Fan Myopia but the world does not begin and end with us folks on the forums.
- "It ain't broke. If the name has good inbound links, it is working. If the name is being accurately used around the wiki to refer to the trope, it is working. You can get information on these things by clicking the 'related to...' button on the trope's page."
Inbound Count for Main.BFM
This title has brought 2,843 people to the wiki
from non-search engine links since 20th FEB '09.
Inbound Count for Main.BFG
This title has brought 1,940 people to the wiki
from non-search engine links since 20th FEB '09.
Inbound Count for Main.Epic Movie
This title has brought 0 people to the wiki
from non-search engine links since 20th FEB '09.
(despite the fact that it was an existing redirect)
I rest my case. People have to be able to find the trope.

Not the right thread for this. It's a TRS topic and should remain there.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Mary Sue contains the line
but since the page is locked, answers can't be inserted so there's no need for a warning against it.
... Also, the first two questions in the following list have had answers inserted.

she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempe@Fighteer: Yes please, I'd like the tropes in my previous post listed in The Bible.
Mary Sue updated, and I think I got all the edits to The Bible.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
I thought that was already gone. And indeed it was, but for some reason Fast Eddie put it back. I... really can't imagine why.
