This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Children Are Innocent: Kovu doesn't see anything wrong with befriending Kiara, and he is completely confused when Zira sees at as a chance at revenge. He also doesn't want any power, when Zira proclaims it as their return to power.
Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Kovu's innocent action of playing with Kiara unknowingly set the plot in motion, as Zira realizes that she can use the friendship as a means of having Kovu getting close to Simba and kill him.
Villain Ball: Zira grabs it hard. For a starter, she was well aware Kovu wanted absolutely nothing to do with the plot. It is also heavily implied that she knew Kovu might not go through with it even before the whole plan started. Also she had absolutely no leverage to ensure he could stay loyal. The entire plan was practically gambling he would stay loyal. Needless to say, she probably should have chosen Vitani or especially Nuka, as Kovu was a terrible choice from the start.
Parental Abandonment: Kovu is stated by several characters including himself that his biological father is missing. Word of God also revealed that he is an orphan, which actually makes a lot of sense given his age in the film, whereas if he had truly been related to Scar, or as old as Zira claimed he was, he probably would have been around Nuka's age at least, and not the same age as Kiara.
Second Coming: Played for Drama. During the song My Lullaby, Kovu is surrounded by lions, and when Zira pulls a chunk of dirt out of the termite mound, a shine of light rains down on Kovu. This is meant to show that Zira and the Outsiders see Kovu as the return of Scar, and Simba refuses to believe he is anything, but this. While not brought up very much, a major plot line in the film is Kovu struggling with his identity, whether to be the reincarnation of Scar or to be himself. He chooses to be himself.

May I ask why ThunderCats Roar was locked while upcoming movie YMMV pages aren't?
Also, suggested rewrites/additions to remove redundancy/clarify stuff:
- Internet Backdraft: The cartoon drew vitriol as soon as the announcement was made. It was so bad the director acknowledged it shortly afterward. The complaints are mainly about the art style and the humor being seen as unfitting for the source material, and/or the show being seen as just too similar in art style and tone to several other cartoons right now.
- Memetic Mutation: Playing on the classic Battle Cry "ThunderCats Ho!":
- "ThunderCats No!", due to it being the reaction of multiple fans.
- "Thundercats Go!", due to comparisons with Teen Titans Go!, which is similarly a Lighter and Softer reboot of an older series using a simpler, more cartoony style (and has drawn similar complaints from fans of the older series).

I understand but you know, we try to report not judge. Can't we just try to keep things non Flame Bait-y? Several people in the animation field have chimed in, so the hullaballoo is notable in some way. Is it just going to stay like that with no context until it's out?

What I don't understand is why lock pages if its just one vandal. Just ban the vandal, and allow everyone else to continue to edit on pages, instead of taking the ability to edit away from everyone.
King of Crayons
Two changes on The Princess And The Frog:
- First, in the "Some scientific explanation" note underneath Artistic License - Astronomy, the phrase "about 90 degrees away" should be changed to "at least 90 degrees away".
- Second, the indentation of the very next trope "Artistic License – Biology" is incorrect. Since it only has one example, it should all go on one line.

Also a slight error in the Children Are Innocent trope. It should be "confused when Zira sees it as a chance for revenge" not "confused when Zira sees at as a chance for revenge."
Also, you need to get some technical people to fix the thread, it keeps stalling and crashing, and it appears to be just this particular thread, and no other thread, along with a truckload of bugs.

Experimenting on the innocent, Isaacs later gained delusions of godhood and opted to release the Virus at large while freezing himself and the few "chosen" in cryogenic hibernation in order to later rebuild the world in his image. The end result was a mass extinction event of the world and the deaths of most of the human race. Isaacs leaves his own clones to clean up, aiming to exterminate any survivors. When he awakens, Isaacs promptly attempts to kill the heroine Alicia "Alice" Marcus as well, intent on maintaining the ultimate power he's betrayed and murdered to achieve.

It is a regular practice for pages to get locked as a result of a long-term vandal. In most cases, vandals limit themselves to specific pages. It is not so in this case, and we are consistently and actively working on more precise mod tools. Whatever frustration is felt at a troper level, it is quadrupled on a mod level.
We are keeping the pages locked as the mod team has determined it is appropriate. We are not entertaining suggestions for changes to that policy. Using posts in this thread to backdoor complain about that policy is going to result in a thump.
I will be catching up on edit requests soon.
- 18067: Your Second Coming write-up has no wiki words (including Second Coming itself). Thread policy is to write it up as it should be on the page. I don't know what you mean by "do a notice".
