This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Sure, but people don't call us in to act as kindergarten cops over their disputes.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"So those useful entries are just going to stay deleted or do we wait for the shitstorm over Batman vs Goku 2 to end before restoring them?

"Useful" is another one of those subjective terms. From our perspective, they are worse than useless because they drain our time and effort to police. The articles will remain closed permanently.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The main wiki -discussion of tropes in fiction, objective and YMMV- is the point of this site.
If one person doesn't behave, they can be dealt with. When it's a multi-troper ongoing issue, the wiki itself takes the hit, usually through locked pages.
Darth Wiki (and Sugar) exist to shoo the complainers and gushers off the main wiki, yet give them a place to air their grievances.
If you read this thread, then pop over to Ask The Tropers and search "Death Battle", you will see how. freaking. insane the whole Death Battle Darth wiki arguing fans situation was getting. Even locking the pages didn't adequately deal with the issue. Hence the scorched earth approach.
I don't like some of the Death Battle results, but I see the logic and reasoning inherent in every single one. Unfortunately, some people can't approach it rationally. So the pages are gone, and will stay gone, because they're not part of the main wiki, and they were causing damage and trouble to the wiki.
Read through some of the Edit banned/suspended thread. It'll give you a feel for what the mods job is -and tolerating fan blowups has no part of it.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettAt Comic Books, please replace the second Baltimore entry with this:
- The Curse Bells storyline: The nameless warlock, who is clearly Adolf Hitler (this has been confirmed by Word of God) is a greedy, ambitious man who keeps a large amount of vampiric nuns enslaved to him with the lie he will heal them of vampirism. The warlock uses a dark ritual to resurrect a long-dead witch by feeding her ashes and blood to a pregnant woman so the witch rips its way out of her. The warlock has her curse the bells of the cathedral he uses as a base which will Mind Rape anyone who hears the bells into his slaves with whom he will enslave the world and purge any in the way. The warlock also reveals that he gained his mystic knowledge by entrapping a supernatural beast...by leaving a baby for it to eat and catching it while it bathed after the meal.
For ImageLinks.Complete Monster: "The Crusader◊" from Hatred.
Please replace the contents of Transformers with that at Transformers Monster and Cut List the Sandbox.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso, what did I say about editing requests in already existing posts? Did that as well.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSorry. I just saw you hadn't gotten to it yet.
Actually, those last two were within minutes of each other I think.

Done.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSomeone needs to add a write up for Windows 10 to Microsoft Windows
On UsefulNotes.Adolf Hitler the following change is in order:
From * In ''Manga/AxisPowersHetalia'' [[CaptainObvious Hitler is Germany's boss.]] [[TheFaceless We only see his back, though.]]
To * In ''Manga/AxisPowersHetalia'', Hitler is Germany's boss. [[TheFaceless We only see his back, though.]]
It's an All Blue Entry and "Joke Fulfillment Link"-kind of a Sinkhole otherwise, irrelevant to Captain Obvious trope.

I’m trying to split the Main.Brick Joke page since it has gotten really long. But for some reason BrickJoke.Literature, BrickJoke.Live Action TV, BrickJoke.Video Games, BrickJoke.Web Comics, BrickJoke.Web Original and BrickJoke.Western Animation are all locked despite the fact that those pages haven’t been created yet.
^Someone probably created them badly back when cutting a page automatically locked it. Just ask for the mods to unlock the pages and it should be good.
While you're waiting, you can look at using the Sandbox namespace to prepare the drafts for the various pages so they'll be ready to swap in once the pages are unlocked.
Edit: And at 455951 characters, it's time for a split!

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFilm P To Z: Please replace the Scanners II: The New Order entry with the corrected one on Scanners II: The New Order.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"- At Western Animation, for Goth, please make it "of the book series" instead of just "of the series".
- Please correctly alphabetize Sutler and Creedy at Film P To Z.
Main.Brick Joke needs its Index switched on.
The tropes list on George W. Bush needs to be stripped of real life troping. Here's the cleaned up version:
Tropes as portrayed in fiction:
- The Napoleon: Portrayals of him often get into this, even though he's a little taller than the average American. The portrayal stem from some of his tics, as well as facing the even-taller John Kerry in the 2004 election.
- The Nicknamer: Bush was known for the many nicknames he gave people. 30 Rock parodied this in "Cooter", with the Beleaguered Bureaucrat "Cooter Burger" (real name James Riley, played by Matthew Broderick) explains how he got his name:
- The Unfavorite: The Oliver Stone movie interprets that he was this while his brother Jeb was the one his parents had high expectations for.
- "Well Done, Son" Guy: According to the movie by Oliver Stone, it is often perceived his brother Jeb was the one his father expected to get higher office. In one of Jr.'s nightmares, Dream!Poppy says, "A hundred years it took to build up the Bush name and you single-handedly destroyed it!"
I'm pretty sure the "adjective!character" thing isn't allowed.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I know at least two of the mods really don't like text!text.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettIt's called Character Tags, by the way.
Aren't the funny, awesome, etc, page inherently subjective too ?
