A Game of Gods Season 3: Nemesis

Go To

"Tomorrow, NCS 3 launches it's new flagship reality show, Nemesis. The whole production has been shrouded in secrecy since day one, but early this morning the channel finally gave us the details. Here today to talk us through those details is our entertainment correspondent, Evelyn Williams.”

“Thanks, Marcus. Rumours about Nemesis have been around for months, but the two biggest ones were confirmed today. Both Donald Kimball and Craig Mc Dermot have been acquired by NCS 3 for the show. For those who don’t know, Donald Kimball was the safety consultant for Fighting With The Stars, and developed the BOC resurrection system that allowed for the weekly deathmatches, while Craig Mc Dermot was the multiversal travel consultant on Jean and Christie Do The Multiverse.

“Oh, I love that show! When are they starting Season Five?”

“As soon as they break Jean and Christie out of that prison.”

“So, what did they get Kimball and Mc Dermot for?”

“Well, Nemesis seems like the usual premise: two teams of people who don’t like each other living in the same house and competing in challenges against each other. What Nemesis is doing differently is that these two groups are some of the multiverse’s biggest heroes and villains, and they’re allowing the groups to murder each other whenever they want.”

“So that’s what the BOC is for, then?”

“Yup. And the challenges are going to be set in different universes, to give even more variety.”

“So, do we know who’s going in?”

“They haven’t revealed that just yet, Marcus. They have revealed the host, though. Some unknown named Liberty Mc Trustworthy.”

“Liberty Mc Trustworthy? That has to be a stage name.”

“I dunno, Marcus. You gotta remember that Timothy Bryce was actually named Harmony Worldpeace before the lawsuit.”

“People call their children anything nowadays. Thanks for coming on Evelyn, next up on Wake Up Call we have Hugh Anthony with the news.”

Hello, and welcome to A Game of Gods: Nemesis, a third-generation AGOG crossover game. The premise of this one is similar to the last season’s Taskforce Sifuri, in that we’ll be pitting two teams against each other during the challenges. However, the one downfall of Taskforce Sifuri was that the difference between the two teams wasn’t stark enough. They eventually learned to get along.

This go around, that won’t happen. Nemesis is pitting Heroes, people of moral character and decisive action, against Villains, those who would harm the innocent in pursuit of their goals. We’re dividing this along moral lines, not Protagonist/Antagonist lines: if your “good guy” is a puppy-kicking, village burning asshole, they’re going on the Villain team.

What makes Nemesis unique in AGOG’s history is the setting: several of the games so far have been the product of bored Nomads looking for entertainment, but this time around it’s an advanced human society that’s holding our heroes and villains captive. And with humans comes a love for that most basic of entertainment: Reality TV.

With the “help” of an energetic host, the Heroes and Villains will face off in a variety of challenges, battling for each challenge’s reward, and gaining wins that will be tallied in the end to find the ultimate winner between good and evil. This ultimate reward? The technology that makes the show run: multiversal travel, revival of the dead, instantaneous teleportation, weapons capable of killing anyone in the cast, and much much more. Everything an aspiring villain needs to fulfill their heart’s desires. And everything a hero wants to keep out of their hands.

Of course, some of the cast may just want to enact revenge on the people who would pluck them from their lives and mess with them for petty amusement. Although the producers have made every measure to keep themselves safe, technology isn’t infallible…

In between these challenges, though, there is one ongoing challenge: trying to live in the same house as people who hate you on principle. And there’s nothing to stop them from trying to kill you over and over and over again, even if they succeed.

You have to remember though: the opposite team might not be the only ones who don’t like you.

Despite this being a sequel to two previous sets of games, you don’t have to be an AGOG Veteran to join in on the fun, and inexperienced players are completely welcome. The plot connection between this game and previous games is extremely loose.

So let’s get this show on the road, shall we?

Rules:

Signup Rules:

Two characters per player, one for each team. Any more than that will be taken on case-by-case basis, but if we believe that you’re able to handle it, we’ll allow it. Try and stick with two to start with, though.

Duos are allowed, but we’ll taking it on a case-by-case basis. In the past, “duo” has meant characters such as Jak and Daxter, where only one is combat-effective and the other just serves as someone to bounce off of, personality-wise. If you feel like your character’s personality works best when they have their constant partner around, but both are combat-capable (for example, Grif and Simmons from Red Vs Blue work best as a double act), send the pair at us and we’ll discuss it.

We’d also like to keep powerlevels at a reasonable standard, but anything can be nerfed. Even if you think your character is too powerful, send them our way and we’ll discuss it. Rule of thumb, though: if your character can cause or fix natural disasters single-handedly in a short length of time, expect some nerfs.

Gameplay Rules:

No real specific rules, but keep to general R Ping etiquette. No ghosting (simply ignoring any attacks sent your character’s way); no autohitting (whether your character’s attack lands is up to the other player, not you); no taking control of other people’s characters, etc. Of course, this being etiquette and not laws, you can make breaches if they’re discussed with the other player beforehand.

The only real rule is that GM rulings are final, and must be obeyed, though if you have objections these rulings can be politely discussed.

And of course, obey all Forum Rules, especially those specific to the RP Forums.

Once you’re done here, head on over to the Discussion Thread (Don’t try and read it all, we prefer our players alive) and the actual game thread.

Your G Ms (Makaioh, Meanken, wikkit and Katarsus) hope you enjoy your time playing in A Game of Gods: Nemesis.

Name: Kamuz
Age: Unknown
Appearance: Ugly bastard, ain't he?
Universe: The Legend Of Valkyrie
Personality: The following select words can be used to easily describe Kamuz in a nutshell: Rude, crude, sadistic, arrogant, easily angered, bloodthirsty, and stupid. Kamuz is basically your standard everyday villainous musclehead who likes to bully those weaker than him, cowardly flees whenever a battle is no longer in his favor, and has an intense hate of heroes and good guys in general, particularly angels (he especially hates those who do great evil as a means of doing good). He also has a penchant for calling people various small bugs as insults and easily flustered whenever his main method of diplomacy fails on him (read: threatening violence upon someone and making good on that promise if they do not give him what he wants).

However, while he's certainly stupid and bullheaded, he's not an idiot. Kamuz can easily see and take advantage of opportunities to get closer to his personal goals whenever present, and is perfectly willing to work with other villains whom he feels are as strong as he is or merely advantageous to him......even if he will eventually throw them under the bus as soon as their usefulness runs out and its convenient. He will even be chummy with associates he likes......though he will still verbally abuse them if they anger him in the slightest. Kamuz is also capable of bouts of cleverness despite being easily outsmarted, and is capable of making simple plans. If he has a final goal that he is truly determined to achieve, he do even when close to death.

Backstory: Kamuz was merely a physically powerful bandit demon who would terrorize people with his gang of monsters, but was not considered much of a threat aside from really small and defenseless villages and unguarded traders. He was then hired as an enforcer the evil wizard Zouna after the latter was released from it prison from with a giant stone clock tower. It was then Kamuz had his first run in with the angel Valkyrie and subsequently got his ass kicked, fleeing from her and swearing revenge. Surprisingly, he almost succeeded, as he managed to steal from Valkyrie and her sidekick Kurino Sandra and powerful relic called the Golden Seed, and artifact able to grant the wishes of anyone who possesses it. Kamuz, predictably, wished for world domination and immense power. Valkyrie managed to defeat him a second time, actually killing him despite asking the Golden Seed for even more power.

He would have actually stayed dead if not for a certain reality show.......

Powers:

  • Super Strength: Just be merely looking at the guy, this would be a given. He can smash solid rock in his bare hands, bench press an adult bull African elephants with ease, and can jump more than an entire story in the air.

  • Durability: Strong enough to withstand most forms of basic melee weapons and could easily tank small rocket launcher shots, thanks to a combination of his thick skin inherent in demon of Marvel Land. However, his skin can only take so much damage before being unable to protect him, thus while it is possible to defeat him in a straight fight, it will either take a whole lot of attacks done to him consecutively or something really, REALLY big.

Abilities:

  • Fighting: While having no formal training at all, Kamuz knows how to brawl, most oftentimes just wailing on opponents with his fists and using dirty fighting. He can also lash out with lightening fast punches to pummel targets mercilessly.

  • Leadership: Has a very surprising knack for gathering and bossing around armies of mooks, mostly as a holdover from his days as a bandit leader. Most of the time though, his recruitment of and gaining loyalty from said mooks involving threats of violence and occasionally murdering a few to set an example.

Equipment: While Kamuz prefers his fists to do the talking, he actually does use weapons. One is a magically enchanted mace that can summon spears of ices upon targets; another is a demonic looking shield that not only blocks damage but also shoots out fireballs; and a set of boomerangs to use as projectile weapons.

Why are they on Team Hero/Villain?: Definitely a Villain. Kamuz is a Card-Carrying Villain through and through, and every good villain team needs a straight up bully in their ranks.

Alright, Yaone is accepted. Please wait until her introduction is made to post.

Kamuz is much better, but still needs work. His strength is gonna be reduced to say... nine tons lift weight. For reference, that boxcar feat? Boxcars are around 23 tons.

His durability needs some clarification. Is his skin really tough, or is it simply that he can take a lot of damage before he goes down?

And that mace of his, how does it make ice spikes? The way you word it makes it sound like they grow out of the opponent when hit.

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!

[up][up]Changed the weight comparison to an African elephant and mentioned in durability that it is both possibilities. Kamuz does have thick skin and is a Damage Sponge, he can be defeated if you hit him hard enough and/or frequently enough. For the mace, I just imagine him waving it into the air to summon the spears down on targets.

Ud: Alright, his skin is immune to pistol and shotgun rounds, and normal blades. Anything rifle-level and extra-sharp/normal-but-wielder-has-extra-strength up is gonna punch in, but his thick musculature will will render it effectively flesh wounds (but flesh wounds still cause blood loss and will eventually kill him). .50cal and up will shred him. There's no muscles around his skull, so a shot to the head will kill him, and so will decapitation, blood loss, loss of his heart or lungs. He can tank exactly one small explosion (grenade-size), but he will be badly hurt and will die without medical attention. Armor-piercing weapons and rocket launchers are gonna kill him.

If I feel you're going overboard on his durability, I will step in and tell you to let him die.

But if you accept those conditions, Kamuz is accepted.

#necessitatedeadbeatlockthesignup2016 pls dont kill me

Name: Jade Harley
Age: 16
Appearance: "Why is being a bad guy so hard?!"
Universe: Homestuck

Personality: A wild beast set free. Sort of. Jade was once a hard working, awkward young woman who was nice if scatterbrained and did her best to always do well by her friends. The personal costs, the repression this self-sacrificing and oft self-loathing personality created, they ultimately backfired spectacularly. It took a minor bout of brainwashing to unleash, but the many grievances with others un-aired turned into an existential fury that goes far beyond a simple 'I'm doing it because I have no choice'. Her superego's been obliterated, and what's left is happy to steer her into a self-serving path.

In her present state she's easily suggestible in spite of herself, but she doesn't abide by other's bullcrap and doesn't take them at face value. She's programmed to be helpful to the cause of evil and sowing chaos, but she does it her own way. She's far from disloyal, but she chafes against authority. She's rebellious and always does things her own way and toes every line she possibly can within the parameters of her job, sometimes simply to spite others. She's ultimately still a petty and angsty teenager, and she can happily be brusquely shallow and bitchy towards others on a lark. Sarcasm and bluntness is her bread and butter, albeit not always well delivered since a healthy dose of evil still hasn't culled her socially awkward tendencies. She often comes off as carrying an air of faux cheerfulness, one that easily falls apart the moment she's irritated.

And she's very easily irritated. Moody, angsty, and she only sometimes tries to keep it contained.

She's somewhat bestial in her interactions at times, she never had the best handle on social norms. She's self-sufficient and prefers working alone, though she also likes to seek people out if only to bicker and satisfy her quota for trying to be a jerk to others. Discounting her actual instinctive animal programming that means she can sometimes completely lose her head or do dumb things, sometimes silly, sometimes appallingly self-defeating. She ultimately has few reservations or qualms and has happily bid them adieu. Jade is theoretically willing to do anything to achieve an objective to get payback. She's just not the best at it, and for the most part her bark is easily worse than her bite.

TL;DR : Repressed teenage girl, too much power, given the opportunity to lose herself to generic brand villainy, mostly sucks at it but getting better maybe.

Backstory: Jade Harley and her other kinda loser internet friends came together to play a game that is a Creation Story come to life. She used to live alone on a remote Pacific island with her only living guardian being her pet dog who could instinctively bend reality. For thirteen something years this was her life. She developed a lot of odd quirks and deep seated mental issues as a result, centered around her extreme isolation from most of the world. Only the internet gave her any means of another life. She thought she was fine with this, for the longest time.

The game destroyed their original world but nobody really cared about that part. Theirs was a heavily flawed session by the standards of the game, it extremely rushed them with less than a full day to invest into progression. Much happened in the span of those few hours, many contrivances, literally dying and coming back to life multiple times over.

Jade came into her own at the end of the game session, as part of a plan to send them to another session where victory was more likely. She died and used one of the game mechanics to fuse with her former pet dog and one of her other already dead selves, achieving extreme power within the bounds of the game and giving them the measure of spatial manipulation necessary to cross boundaries between game sessions. For three years, she and a few others would need to sit back and relax while the journey was made and completed.

Those three years gave her time to slowly break down, confined to a small vessel with few other mouths who also had their own baggage. Little to do. She had a romance gone sour, and continued to keep mum and not talk about the things that troubled her.

The moment she finally arrived the powerful endgame boss of that game session, overtuned through more game glitches and the influence of sinister forces, had the power to command all of her at once with crushing mind control. Inhibitions and morals removed and her character faults laid bare she immediately turned on her friends and served her commander loyally, setting up for her friends failure to benefit the side she was now on. She served happily, and made quick work of most of the obstacles in her leader's way. She finds she loves the freedom granted to her by being evil, and has taken to the role with relish, if not entirely competence.

Powers/Abilities/Equipment:

  • Teleportation: Her spatially oriented powers rely on a gargantuan star called the Green Sun. Somehow the impossible size of two universes, she's still close enough to it even in the Nemesis world(s) to use her powers, but they are weakened compared to what she could wield when in her universe of origin.

She can use this power on herself or an inanimate object. If the item is too large, larger than a full bodied human being, she cannot move it at all. The object being teleported is consumed by strobe chartreuse crackles of lightning, for about a second of windup before the teleport occurs. It can easily move across an entire city block, the effect becomes harder and requires exponentially more windup after this distance. She does not need to touch the object, she can teleport anything she can see.

  • Size Manipulation: With a degree of flexibility Jade can change the size of inanimate objects or willing subjects, provided they stay still relative to her for a few seconds and exist between a scale of 12 ft to the rough size of a mouse. She can work on a scale of double-half the original size as long as it's new size remains within the size constraints, and the object will remain at this new size until reverted to the original size. The item will continue to fully operate as intended at the new size, laws of physics also temporarily made miscible by the applique of her powers.
  • Dog Senses: Jade is part canine, and has a strong sense of smell associated with it. She can pick apart scents within roughly 90-100m down to the individual source, provided the scent is strong and distinct. A sentient, or another specific scent like oil or fire or such. She can then easily track the individual scent to it's source.

This power can be easily obfuscated by abilities with atmospheric effects, redirecting air or creating strong storms that make smelling out things harder for her, and so on.

  • Weaponry: She's armed, and while her weapons are derived from the game they maintain fully lethal capabilities. Her main weapon is a Saiga-12 lookalike with semi-automatic firing rate. Jamming and ammunition are not concerns, but she does have to 'reload' the usual way, just without any actual ammunition put in. She's a fair marksman, trained from her youth, and she maintains an army grunt standard level of marksmanship.

She also has a cutlass-esque blade. It's very colorful and silly looking, but it's a sword. She's not trained in swordsmanship and her ability to fight with this blade in hand-to-hand combat is limited.

  • Sylladex Inventory Management: In a nutshell, personal hyperspace for mundane gear storage. The items placed in this system are impossible to interact with until the owner brings them back into existence. Objects larger than handheld-size cannot be stored, and the sylladex auto-rejects sentient objects. When removed an object appears in the nearest space clear of obstacles.

She can store up to 10 separate items, one per 'card' offered by the sylladex. Her sylladex is assigned to a Pictionary model, to put something in she must draw a desired object within a 10m range of her with an acceptable degree of accuracy. Her artistic skill is quality enough to where this normally isn't an issue, though there can be misfires. There are no requirements to take out an object once it is inside. She has a number of other sylladex models where the input-retreival method changes based on classic board games like Operation, Memory, and Battleship, but the general functionality of the sylladex remains consistent between the versions.

Why are they on Team Villain?: She's a former heroic figure who has been shunted onto a less morally reserved path, and in this carefully controlled environment she'll be having no further change of heart. She's lost her former sense of self and will happily rebuild it into something much worse with no questions asked.

#inb4threadlock

  • Name: Penemue Dogan
  • Age: 41
  • Appearance: Just the right height, no cyberlegs required
  • Universe: E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy
  • Personality: To those he considers true allies, he'd be willing to put himself in harm's way for them, but those he considers allies are very few, and they would ultimately come second to furthering his own goals. Penemue has no real love for anyone outside of the Secreta, and while the majority of people he meets are either looters or working for the corrupt government, he believes that as a soldier under the Secreta Secretorum he has a better view on the way the world should work (i.e. run by the Secreta) than anyone outside of the organization. He's got a bit of a temper, to say the least, and though they are often nonsensical he comes up with very profanity-laden and downright prosaic insults to disparage others. He has a hard time disobeying authority figures, though he has a tendency to betray those he doesn't care about for his own well-being if he's convinced he can get away with it. Though it isn't much of a personality trait, others might find that his deep voice is heavily accented, and his sentences oddly structured. This isn't so much a lack of understanding his own language as it is the way grammar has evolved 300+ years into the future.
  • Backstory: Penemue has had some issues with forgetfulness recently. Through some kind of mysterious accident in a deep cave which killed all others in his squad, he's managed to lose all but the most basic of his memories, including most of his life story. What he does remember is that he's a veteran member of E.Y.E., an organization of cybernetically enhanced agents, and that he's been having a very odd recurring dream lately. While he's slowly piecing together the puzzle of his amnesia, he's caught in a power struggle between his two superiors. His Mentor is a member of the old guard who wishes for the two sects within the Secreta, the Culter Dei and Jian Shang Di, should unite under one banner. Commander Rimanah, leader of the Culter Dei, believes that the Jians should be wiped out and the Culters should be the only source of power in the galaxy. While the Secreta is torn by infighting, he's also fighting part of a civil war between his own organization and the Federation at large.
    • This is a gigantic spoiler, and though it takes playing through this clunky game multiple times just to get an inkling of what's going on I can imagine someone must want to, so read ahead if you have no intention of playing E.Y.E. In actuality, Penemue actually is Commander Rimanah himself. In the past, Rimanah had grown so powerful with his latent psionic abilities that he was able to completely rewrite reality. However, he had to betray and murder his wife, his best friend, and his Mentor in a mad grasp at power to became a physical god. Torn with immense regret once he realized how he had killed everyone dear to him in order to better himself, he wrote his existence out of reality. Erasing his name, self-identity, and past, he entered into a continuous cycle of guilt as penance, time resetting constantly back to this blank state with him as a amnesiac soldier working under his past self. Once he either murders his Mentor again, kills his own self-image as Commander Rimanah, or figures out the truth behind what's going on, he is sent back to the beginning, with no memories of what had happened.
  • Powers:
    • Cybermancy: In the far off cyber-enhanced cyberfuture of the cybergalaxy, just about everyone has some amount of internal augmentation, and as an E.Y.E. member Penemue has literally every single organ down to the bone heavily modified with top-of-the-line cybernetics. His cyberlegs can push him to run 20 miles per hour at a full sprint while wearing armor and equipment. His cybereyes can see in the dark, and automatically detect other augmented beings. His cybermusculature is much stronger than the average human's, with which he can lift a few hundred pounds and toss it over his head with little effort. In general, since there's so much metal in his body and his organs are hardened to withstand damage, he's considerably more durable.
    • Hackingu: In a world where everything more advanced than a cardboard box has a wi-fi signal, even the special forces train their operatives in cyberwarfare. Though he must stand completely still while doing it, he can hack and interfere with virtually any device that receives some kind of wireless signal. Anything too primitive (i.e. pre-2000's technology) would be untouchable through obscurity, and everything too advanced might be too arcane for him to interface with. If the target has some kind of advanced security software (like literally everything in E.Y.E.), it could possibly block his attempt and create feedback within his cyberbrain. The effects of this feedback range from little more than a headache, to interfering with his vision, to causing him to feel paranoid delusions temporarily, to (if he's especially unlucky) his brain violently detonating, like in that one movie.
    • E.Y.E. Training: He's trained and skilled in the usage of many kinds of firearms, some of which are more advanced than anything we currently have, some of which are as mundane as a sawed-off shotgun. Even for firearms he may not be immediately familiar with, he's got enough sense to figure out which end is the shooty end.
      • Equipment: Though for all of his training, he's only got a handful of weapons on his person. The katana, given to every single Secreta operative. Very sharp, but it's just a fancy sword. The HS 010, a sub-machine gun with an absolutely ridiculous rate of fire. The first firing mode expends bullets at a slightly slower rate than a minigun, and the second firing mode (dubbed "fuller auto") expends them at a rate faster than a minigun. The downside to that is the incredible fragility, firing at that rate means the gun tends to jam, and the complete lack of accuracy. The general tactic is to either be within punching distance so that the bullets can't possibly miss, or for anything further away simply dumping the entire one-hundred round magazine at the target and hoping one or two connect. The bullets aren't particularly strong, not much stronger than the weakest handguns on the market today, but they're still bullets.
    • Armor: The only futuristic thing about it is the ability to stop wounds from hemorrhaging, but otherwise it's just very fancy steel armor. It worked in the middle ages, so it must work for the Secreta.
    • PSI: Despite E.Y.E. being an organization founded to deal with PSI-using threats, Penemue doesn't have much skill in it. He's psionically sensitive, meaning he's able to tell if someone has any capability for PSI, but otherwise he's neglected training almost completely.
  • Why are they on Team Villain?: Penemue certainly believes he should be rightly on Team Hero, but in general he's not any bit heroic. He doesn't do anything to save the helpless or needy, nor does it cross his mind. Every action he takes within the game is either to help solve his own problems, or to further the agendas of the Secreta and the Culter Dei sect. At one point, he plants nuclear bombs in a populated urban area in order to pin the blame on his rivals in the Jians, and doesn't do much thinking about the thousands he might've killed in order to further his commander's petty grudge. He even shot a bar owner after he offered him a drink. And that's terrible.

I'm interested in this little Heroes vs. Villains shindig. Any spots for me?

Okay, I've been looking at Jade Harley for several hours now. I have come to the conclusion that there is no way I can nerf her without making the character ineffective. To make her even approach acceptable, I'd have to add the usual "no P Cs or major NP Cs" nerf to her teleportation, which is not good when it's her main combat ability and this is a Pv P game.

So, unfortunately, she is rejected.

On the other hand, I see no problem with Penemue Dogan, and thus he is accepted. Please wait until the next GM post to make your entrance.

Ore-o: There's always room, but we've got Hero signups closed for now. Not a capacity issue, just a balance one.

Alright, thanks for taking the time to try and nerf her in a reasonable fashion! I'm not thoroughly ready to give up on her yet though, and I think I did come up with something that might make her more palatable/useful without straying from her canon self.

I'll accept the nerf in it's entirety. And I can even take it further, she can specifically only teleport herself and inanimate objects within the already established parameters. Thus she can't auto-win certain challenges by just teleporting an army of random mooks away at will.

In exchange I'm giving her back certain things she had in canon back that I neglected to throw into the profile the first time. She actually did have weapons she could use well, and for both of our sanity I'll neglect the ones that (maybe) had psuedo special properties and just give her ordinary weaponry that happens to look nice. An assault rifle and a cutlass, specifically. She also had a hyperspace inventory in the form of a sylladex system, which can hold a finite amount of extra items within a size limit without taking up physical space on her person. If I give her those two canon things back (or just arm her, the hyperspace inventory bit is possibly extraneous) I think it'd make her reasonably more capable of pulling her own weight without banking on her teleport?

I haven't modded the actual profile with the specifics yet, I'd just like to know if the rough sketch of modifications is workable.

So, two villains. I'll work with it. I'll post one at a time. Sorry about the links to the pics, they didn't come out right.

  • Name: Metal Face, A.K.A. Mumkhar
  • Age: Unknown, seems to be voiced by a middle aged man. Around 30
  • Appearance: The One Who Stands In The Way, The Monster in the Machine
  • Universe: Xenoblade Chronicles
  • Personality: A violent killing machine would be the start of it, but this one in particular is more sinister. He's dirty, mean, and mighty unclean as well as sadistic and arrogant. Despite this, he still wears a mask of civility. He also loves to mock his enemies for their futility or to demoralize or infuriate them. He also tends to do things his way, but his way is about as subtle as a sledgehammer. However, his pride and wrath leaves him to underestimate his opponents which eventually lead to his demise.
  • Backstory:
    • Before he became a Mechon, he was a Homs named Mumkhar who was from a destroyed colony and companions with Dunban, the hero of the first Mechon war. In the decisive fight at Sword Valley, he abandoned his comrades in order to obtain the Monado, the mythical sword used to kill Mechon with ease. That didn't end well for him when he was taken and presumably killed in action, but instead, he was the first of the Faced Mechon.
    • As Metal Face, he had began his violent crusade at Colony 9, which had claimed many lives including Shulk, the protagonist's, girlfriend and Dunban's sister, Fiora. And continued onward to Alcamoth, the city of the High Entia in a task to kill Zanza, the soul of the Bionis and kills Emperor Sorean which got him damaged with an upgraded Monado for his troubles. Now he waits for Shulk to come to him, until he was taken from his world.
  • Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
    • Face Mechon Armor: The armor is noted to be very tough, used to be so that even the Monado can't harm it (a trait unique to Face Units), but it can be affected by armor piercing attacks. It used to be the size of a house, but for balance, it was reduced to 12 feet.
    • Mechon Claws: These claws can pierce through steel as well as even cause burns (the latter only applies to his Homs body).
    • Energy Cannon: The cannon mounted on his back can fire powerful Ether blasts either as a beam or as spheres. They can knock back and harm anyone unfortunate enough to be in its way, but it cannot blast through metal with ease, it's not as powerful as his claws, and needs a considerable amount of time to charge.
    • Flight Mode: If he wants to get somewhere quick, he can change form and fly, although his combat capabilities are limited in this form and it is at the speed akin to a car.
  • Why are they on Team Villain?: Simply put, he's practically wronged nearly all of Shulk's friends and never once had an iota of regret. Halfway through the story, he served as the main antagonist and the biggest threat to the heroes, as well as his aforementioned crusade.

You don't need to do two villains, Hero signups will reopen upon the next villain accepted.

Apologies, though, I will have to get to that signup later.

Alright, so, for the new version of Jade Harley, how long is the windup? And how far can she teleport things? Does she need to be touching it, or will it be line-of-sight? Size-shifting goes to a max of 12 foot high, and minimum of mouse-size. The Sylladex will be limited to handheld items.

(Also, the Saiga-12 is a semiautomatic shotgun.)

As for Metal Face, his armour will be pierced by armour piercing weapons. How powerful are his energy weapons? How fast is his jet mode? Could you please fix the image links and expand the personality section?

Also, Hero Signups have reopened, but please don't rush into it and try and keep the teams level.

Alright, everything should be explained more clearly in the profile.

  • Armor: Fair enough.
  • Energy Cannon: Not exactly enough to kill en masse, but still dangerous due to both power and knockback. Will add in charge time for balance.
  • Flight Mode: Would an average speed of a helicopter suffice?

One second windup/city block/line of sight. All other nerfs have been notated. I looked back at the panel where the weapon is fired in canon and it does work like an actual shotgun, so that's my bad.

Katsuun: Okay, seems fine. Jade Harley is accepted. She'll be brought in next GM post.

Ore-O: Are you saying that the energy weapon is concussive? Or is it a "fire weapon, enemy has a hole now"? As for the jet mode, keep it around the speed of a car, but I'd like a transformation period, so that he can't just transform and go for a ram without giving the opponent time to dodge.

  • Energy Weapon: I think it's a bit of both. Not as damaging as his claws.
  • Flight Mode: Alright, but he doesn't do a whole lot of ramming. Well, he does transform similarly to Transformers, just minus looking like a conventional aircraft.

Alright then, Metal Face is accepted.

Wait, he's human-sized, right?

EDIT: Okay, I just checked, he isn't. So, I'd like a size reduction to 12 foot, and then he's accepted. Please wait for the next GM post to introduce him.
