Plot:

Each world tells a story. Some tell a story of how love and courage prevailed... Others tell a story of how anyone can die, even heroes. These stories have various retellings. For each retelling, there is a world that is made. Was it made the moment the story was told or was it always there and it was just now that its story was told? No one knows... This is just one of many retellings.

Long ago, worlds were unaware of each other’s presence thanks to a struggle between the forces of light and darkness. However, one of the worlds birthed a ruthless privateer by the name of Basco ta Jolokia. He scavenged his world of all its power and used it to fuel an artifact known as The Greatest Treasure in the Universe. With the Treasure, he took over an empire known as the Space Empire Zangyack and renamed it the Dai-Zangyack. From there, he waged a war across the multiverse, collecting multiple villains of various powers and abilities.

However, even in the darkest night, hope will shimmer. And it did in the form of Team Gaim. It started out as a ragtag dance team in the World of Kamen Rider, but soon evolved into a resistance group once the World’s protectors gathered. Much like Dai-Zangyack, they gathered powerful allies and battled with Dai-Zangyack numerous times. Eventually, their final battle took place on our World: Earth. The battle was long, hard and numerous people either died or escaped with heavy wounds, but eventually Team Gaim’s leader was able to land a mortal wound into Basco, at the cost of him having his own mortal wound.

The dust settled and the war obscured itself. Nobody knows when this battle occurred, be it just last week or even a thousand years back. The battlefield where these heroes and villains fought remained a mystery and we remained blissfully unaware that such a battle with the heroes and villains we read about occurred... Though archaeologists soon dug up 30% of the remains of the island, reconstructing them and building a museum devoted to these relics. To the naked eye, these seem like the perfect replicas, but they are the real deal.

However, thousands of mysteries emerge from the island as a team of men in white suits begin to further the excavation of the remaining 70%. Who are these men? Why have they come for the place commonly known to people as “Museum Island”? What hidden treasure lies in this Island? And more importantly...

Where will your characters wind up in a war that had lain dormant for so long?

Special Note:

This will be a major first for me, as this RPG will be completely void of any established factions outside of a few neutral factions and a villain faction, all which will be revealed in time. There is no clear cut “Good Guy” faction. Not yet, anyways. You can create one or join one that’s created. There’s also a lack of an actual main plot outside of the one that sets everything up, so after the first arc (which is plotted out) it’s up in the air. All that’s known is that each arc focuses on one world at a time.

The Three Sacred Rules:

  1. I cannot stress this enough: No arguing. If I find arguing, I’ll give the rudest person in that argument a warning. Three of them and they’re out the door. Remember, this is an RPG. We're supposed to have fun.
  2. No sexual situations. This is more TVTropes’s rule than it is mine, but the rules simple if you have to have some sort of sex scene (which is sort of weird but okay):
    • It must be consensual (as in no rape).
    • Both parties must be 18 or over (as it’s the age of consent for most countries).
    • It must have a Fade to Black (at the end of the day, things are better left unsaid).
  3. No Godmodding or Powerplaying. Godmodding basically means no powers with auto-kill, any moves that automatically hit or auto-dodging. Power-Playing falls in the same line.

The Three Sacred Notes:

  1. I wish to keep the action of the arcs to one world each. This basically means that each arc will focus on one world instead of what happened with the first JTTM, where midway through the RPG, we’ve began doing two worlds at a time or in some scenarios where one world arc outlasted several world arcs.
  2. I’m not putting a character limit. Play as many as you can handle.
  3. This is not Anyone Can Die territory. If you wish to kill off a character, you must have permission from the character’s player.

The Tone

If anyone’s curious about the “tone” of the RPG, here’s my answer: the tone is serious. Now, I don’t mean serious like grimdark, but serious as in there’s major emphasis on plot, people are duking it out in an epic manner and delivering speeches on top of their mechas. You know, basic Gurren Lagann style awesomeness.

However, there’s a thing as being too serious. Don’t try to be dark by introducing heavily serious subject matters like rape and/or substance abuse. Death can happen in the RPG though, but, at least in my opinion, should be more of a Dying Moment of Awesome instead of Dropped a Bridge on Him. Silly and funny moments are allowed though.

Forbidden Powers

This is a list of powers I absolutely will not allow on any circumstances. The reason will most likely be because it breaks the third listed rule.
  • Mind Control (see One Hit Kills’ reason)
  • Time Stop (see below)
  • Super Speed (Nothing against it, I like it, but it causes confusion and essentially makes it ‘I hit you before you hit me’)
  • One Hit Kills (This is because it breaks more than just one rule.)
  • Telekinesis (This may be an odd one to some people, but if you’ve seen Sonic 06, you’ll know my reasoning. It’s actually semi-forbidden. So long as the Telekinesis doesn’t pick up humans (IT’S NO UUUUUSE!) you’re good.)
  • Depowering (This creates a problem, since you've essentially took someone out of the battle, be it temporary or permanently. Now keep in mind, this is just for powers that explicitly state "is able to take other powers away")
  • Blowing Up The World (The instant "I Win" button. Yeah, there's many reasons why this is forbidden to have in PC's hands. Especially if you're a good guy. Because last I checked, good guys don't blow planets up like they're Alderaan.)

The Faction List

As the RPG goes on, there will be more factions. Some are player made, while others are GM made. As the factions show up in the RPG, a small blurb will appear that describes their alignment, goal, and other assorted things. The template will appear shortly after the Faction List.

Factionless

[Alignment: Wild Card] Many people start off their life in the Multiverse without any clear idea who to help in the war. Or perhaps they do know, but prefer to stay out of any faction in particular for many reasons. Or, perhaps, they go for more than one side...

Zyguard:

[Alignment: Neutral] Zyguard was a group formed from the members of Team Gaim who had ran off during the final battle against Basco. They’ve seen what devastation came when people begin to explore the multiverse and so they’ve become the unofficial protectors of the Multiverse, vowing to quell any potential threat and preserve the status quo of the multiverse's many worlds.

Dai-Black Cross Army

[Alignment: Villain] Legends talk of a mysterious force that was the reason for how Basco’s conquest expanded past his own world. A monster whose heart is filled with the hatred of defeated villains of his world. No one knows if he really exists or not, or even if he’s human. All that’s known is that if he was real and existed in the modern day, he would probably have an army that would rival Basco’s.

Einherjar

[Alignment: Hero] Though it has the same goals as Zyguard - to do good and protect the multiverse - Einherjar aims to avoid the passivity that Zyguard may fall victim to. As a result, it adopts a more proactive approach. Einherjar's members do good wherever possible, but they actively encourage others to help them as well... at least as long as they follow the relevant laws etc. in whichever universe they end up in (though if a law is obviously unjust they will err on the side of disobeying it to do good) although they have almost the same goals as Team Dai-Liner, they feel that they do it best when working under the rule of law and order. Their outlook on life can be summed up by Sophocles and Aristotle: "Nobody has a more sacred obligation to obey the law than those who make the law" and "Law is order, and good law is good order".

Team Dai-Liner

[Alignment: Hero] A somewhat anarchic conglomeration, the archetypal Ragtag Bunch of Misfits. Following the Space Train Tyran-O Liner wherever it may take them, they generally exist to do whatever seems best at the time, often goofing off or getting in the way of the other, more serious minded factions. However, they are all good at heart, and possess a strong sense of justice (or at the very least believe that wrongdoings should not be tolerated); when faced with evil, they will show it just what a ragtag bunch of misfits can really do.

Signup Sheet:

Before questions are asked, OCs (and if you wish, SIs) are allowed, as well as Canon characters. Just keep in mind that for the first arc, Canon characters need a good reason to be on Earth.
  • Name:
  • Age:
  • Gender:
  • Appearance:
  • Power: (What sort of power do they obtain on the island during the Museum Island arc? Note that it can be any established power, like a Lightsaber or a Devil Fruit. For less technological-based powers (like using Jutsu or Wizardry), Shards containing a special magic property can be obtained. Original JTTM vets be warned, these are not the same kind of Shards. Here, they just inject the magic into you without any side effects.)
  • Faction: (Which faction are you a part of? It's perfectly okay to go factionless.)
  • World of Origin: (This is mainly for Canon characters and OCs based off Canon)
  • Personality: (How does your character act?)
  • Backstory: (A story of how your character got to the current point in the RPG.)
  • Quote: (Just a flavorful little text to best sum up your character.)

Faction Template

  • Name of Faction:
  • Alignment: (Hero, Neutral, or Villain)
  • Goal: (What do they wish to achieve?)

AnnoR "Of course, Satsuki-sama." from Honnouji Academy Since: Sep, 2010
"Of course, Satsuki-sama."
#2: Nov 29th 2013 at 6:05:52 PM

  • Name: Anno
  • Age: 20
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Here and here and here!
  • Power: Vivid Key, specifically Red. This allows Anno to initiate a transformation sequence, which gives her a pallet suit, the suit seen in the third picture. This makes her vastly stronger and more dexterous, and more durable than usual, as well as giving her the power of flight via the pallet suit. Anno also gains a weapon, a large, bladed boomerang called the "Naked Rang", which is capable of dealing serious damage even to supernaturally-armored targets. However, these are not the most unique and powerful function of the Vivid Key.
    • Docking: Anno can give other people(seemingly only girls, and it will be only girls for the RP) a "Docking Key". Due to her distance from the power source of the Vivid System, she cannot grant full Vivid Keys. The Docking Key allows Anno to "dock" with the person possessing it, fusing the both of them into a single body with both minds inside. This form, known as a Vivid Form, is vastly more powerful then Anno by herself, possessing a unique weapon with a devastating amount of power. Vivid Forms are dictated mostly by the abilities and appearance of the person Anno is docking with, with some influences from Anno.
  • Faction: Factionless(Will join the Good Guys)
  • World of Origin: Earth
  • Personality: Shy and somewhat reclusive, Anno spends most of her time reading or on the computer. She is a fan of action and slice of life works, as well as comedies. She is also a fan of yuri. She likes cute things a great deal and is very, very much against seeing children hurt for any reason. Anno is a massive fan of the Nasuverse, Touhou, and a lot of other things.
  • Backstory: Anno's life is mostly uninteresting.
  • Quote: "Um... er... well, um.. d-do I have to put something here...?"

  • Name: Nomura Katsumi
  • Age: 18
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "You're resisting arrest?! That's just what I wanted to hear!"
  • Power: Ascribing a specific name to Katsumi's power is rather difficult. She is extremely powerful, far beyond what her body would indicate. For example, she carries a large number of swords for one specific reason: Because she causes them to shatter when she swings them. After one or two blows, her swords simply break, unable to handle the power behind each swing. Each swing is capable of sending average enemies flying, even if they manage to block. She can swing even harder, causing her sword to break down even before it hits the target and explode into shrapnel when it connects. She also carries swords with minor magical charge. Less because it makes them more powerful and more because they explode into a blast of destructive mana when destroyed. In a fight, Katsumi plants swords in the ground around her so she can quickly draw them out each time she breaks one. She is powerful using only her bare hands, as well, but she vastly prefers fighting using swords. Even barehanded, she could possibly block quite powerful strikes.
  • Faction: Zyguard
  • World of Origin: Um... some original world!
  • Personality: Katsumi is arrogant, feeling that she is above her enemies and that there is no chance that she could ever lose to them. At the same time, however, she has a strong sense of justice(which lead to her becoming part of Zyguard). However, it is possible she is not viewed as a good officer, as she will disregard orders if she believes that it is getting in the way of serving justice. Her arrogance is topped only by her utterly boundless spirit and enthusiasm. She has an utter refusal to give up, only rarely ever leaving a fight, and only if she is certain she is not needed. She firmly believes in pushing forward no matter what, in protecting those who need it and tearing down every obstacle to justice in her way. She's also a bit... fond of fighting. Very fond of fighting, to the point of hoping criminals don't come quietly so she can fight them. Katsumi believes that nothing can stop her and that nothing can ever break her spirit. She is also kind of a showoff.
  • Backstory: Katsumi lived in a world of technology and magic, where she sought to both uphold justice and find fun and entertaining situations to become a part of. When she learned of Zyguard, there was little hesitation in her choice to become a part of them.
  • Quote: "In my heart, my spirit burns with unquenchable flames! There's no way you'll ever beat me!"

I am interested, mostly because this is a crossover and I love crossovers, but I don't exactly get this. What is it about, the factions going against each other solely?

[up] Well, the basic premise of JTTM in general is the basic Kingdom Hearts style setting of multiple universes (in fact, there's a nod to the franchise in the story) but with OCs and Canon characters traveling across the worlds. Just like the vastness of the Multiverse, there's multiple factions that form. It's your basic Good Vs. Evil story with neutral factions added in.

Figure of Hourai
#5: Nov 29th 2013 at 6:24:20 PM

  • Name: Rain, real name Siobhan.
  • Age: 19
  • Sex: Female
  • Appearance: She IS embarrassed about the outfit. She did not, after all, intend to be dressed like this.
  • Power:
    • The Lost Driver and Skull Memory, meaning that Rain is Kamen Rider Skull. Comes with a gun, as well as two Maximum Drives. Stylish, reasonably powerful, dependable. The only other 'memory' she has is basically useless to her, but at least gives her a free phone. Not that she really needs one...
    • The Skullboilder and its mobile garage. Of course, she does have a little trouble in being at a loss for how to ride this thing... but it is a bike, which is a plus.
  • Faction: The Rider Train
  • World of Origin: Home
  • Personality: Has a deplorable tendency to make long, convoluted jokes and seize on wordplay. Almost guaranteed to share random information with no link to absolutely anything obviously going on. She should really learn to not wear her heart on her sleeve, as well as how you go about resisting temptation. Very gung-ho about anything she gets interested in—it's just overcoming the initial hesitation, really.
  • Backstory: Grandfather died, brother died, grew up, got into university, signed up for something drunk and succumbed to the Sunken Costs fallacy, was pleased to learn other people she knew were going to the same place at the same time. Odd, that.
  • Quote: "Umm... now, count up your sins! Did I remember that right? That seems it... right?"

...I have two other characters I'm writing up, one using the Faiz Gear and the other using an original set of Lockseeds, but I'll post those later once I've finished them, ahah.[lol]

  • Name: Moerin
  • Age: 21
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Whee. Whilst possessed by Meowrin.
  • Power:
    • Singularity Point: Unbeknownst to her until just recently (because it was never really an issue), Moerin is a Singularity Point, a being who is unaffected by changes to the timeline. More importantly, it allows her to suppress an Imagin's will when it takes over her body, giving her some measure of control over them when she is possessed.
    • Meowrin: Meowrin is Moerin's Imagin partner, taking the form of a perverted, hotblooded catgirlnote . Whilst she is incredibly strong in her own right, she is incapable of possessing a physical form outside of the Tyran-O Liner, and thus has to possess someone (almost invariably Moerin) in order to interact with the outside world.
    • Kamen Rider Den O: Moerin possesses a Den-O Belt and a Rider Pass, allowing her to transform into her own version of Den-O. Whilst she still has the same base Plat Form, the Machine Den-Bird motorcycle and the DenGasher weapon, her other forms are different due to her having different Imagin partners than the original Den-O.
      • Claw Form: Moerin's first actually useful form, accessed when she is possessed by Meowrin. It is comparable to the original Den-O's Sword Form, being a well rounded close range fighter; of course, unlike Sword Form she instead uses the DenGasher in a knuckleduster like configuration.
    • Tyran-O Liner: A magical train that is functionally identical to Den-Liner Gouka; however, unlike the Den-Liner the Tyran-O Liner travels through space rather than time.
  • Faction: Staunchly one of the good guys
  • World of Origin: Our Earth
  • Personality: Hammy, silly and something of a perv, with a notable love of boyish girls and girlish boys. Refuses to act her age most of the time, but when she does it's usually a bad sign. She has a strong sense of justice, and is quick to jump to the defence of anyone she feels has been wronged, but other than that she's kinda lazy. She's also kind of a nerd, and enjoys cooking, reading and random bouts of philosophy. Unfortunately, she also suffers from an inferiority complex and tends to put everyone else before herself, and has a habit of apologising far too much when she believes she has done something wrong.
  • Backstory: There's nothing much to say, really. Just a boring, ordinary life leading to a boring, ordinary existence. She's currently directionless and lost without any real purpose in life, but that doesn't stop her from trying to find one. She's currently visiting the island on vacation... A vacation that seems to have dragged on for several weeks more than she originally intended.
  • Quote:
    • Moerin: "Um... T-transform!"
    • Meowrin-possessed Moerin: "HENSHIN! Here I come!"

  • Name: Rachel Kay
  • Age: 23
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Seen here, cosplaying. She's about 5'4". And her Rider forms.
  • Power: Rachel has gained the powers of Kamen Rider Wizard (with the unfortunate side effect of having a dragon living inside of her that will kill her if she falls into despair), allowing her to use the following:
    • Wizardriver: A belt Rachel uses in conjunction with the Wizard Rings to channel her magic. By scanning a ring against the hand on the belt's buckle, the belt will call out "[Ring Name], please." (well, most of the time at least) and activate its effect. By using the Hurricane, Flame, Land or Water Rings she is able to bring out the full potential of her magical abilities and transform into Kamen Rider Wizard, increasing her physical capabilities in the process.
    • Wizard Rings: Special rings that Rachel uses with the Wizardriver to activate her magic. She has the following rings from the list: all of the normal and Dragon Style Rings, Special, Driver On, Engage, Connect, Small, Big, Defend, Bind, Drill, Liquid, Dress Up, Extend, Copy, Dragorise and Kick Strike. In addition, she has the Travel Ring, which creates a large magic circle which functions as a portal between worlds as well as the Ogre, Mermaid and Pegasus Rings, which serve a similar purpose to Wizard's Unicorn, Kraken and Garuda Rings, allowing her to use...
    • PlaMonsters: Magically animated familiars. When a PlaMonster's ring is scanned, it appears out of thin air, unassembled on a plastic frame. Then, it puts itself together and the Ring is inserted into its body to keep it active. However, they have a limited amount of energy and disappear when it's used up, leaving the Ring behind. They can combine into a stronger form, although the fact that this form is still less than a foot tall means they're unlikely to do much more than serve as a distraction against most enemies.
    • WizarSwordGun: A weapon that can work as either a sword or a gun and can be used with some of her Rings for special attacks.
    • Machine Winger: A motorcycle. On the off-chance that she ends up entering an Underworld, she could combine this with the Dragon to boost its flight ability and help keep it under control.
  • Faction: None, yet.
  • World of Origin: Our Earth
  • Personality: Rachel is shy around people she doesn't know. However once she feels comfortable around someone, she becomes more cheerful and energetic, if a bit snarky at times. She can be surprisingly hammy, when she feels the situation calls for it. She is a fan of slice of life and action manga and anime, as well as assorted tokusatsu series. She tends to get mistaken for a teenager a lot.
  • Backstory: There isn't really much to say. Rachel has had a boring, ordinary life for the most part. She coasted through high school without any real effort and then started studying to become a teacher. Having heard that most of her friends would be going away at around the same time she'd be on a break from classes, Rachel decided to go on a holiday of her own, conveniently ending up in the same place as a number of people she knew online.

WHAT HAS SCIENCE WROUGHT
#12: Nov 30th 2013 at 5:46:35 AM

  • Name: John Shirkwood
  • Age: 20
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: A blonde man with greenish, tired eyes and a red sweatshirt, John usually wears jeans.
  • Powers: The Ginga Spark, allowing him to use Spark Dolls to take on the form and abilities of a monster or hero depicted by them. He'd start with Spark Dolls for the monsters Birdon and Astron and the Baltanian, Valkyrian, and Kemurian. However, included with this device is the powerful Ultraman Ginga, a titan of light from nebula M-87.
    • Super Volcanic Chickenbeast, Birdon: Birdon, as its title implies, is a giant chicken kaiju. It can fly at a fairly quick pace, breathe fire, create powerful winds by flapping its wings, and has a deadly poison in its beak.
    • Violent Monster Astron: Astron is in no way shape or form Godzilla or a ripoff thereof. So what if it is a kaiju-sized green dinosaur monster with ridges along its back which glow when it fires its laser breath. It's totally different.
    • Baltan, the Space Ninja: One of John's humanoid forms, Baltan is capable of changing between giant and human proportions. It is also surprisingly stealthy for a blue and orange bipedal lobster alien. Capable of firing lasers from its claws and creating illusions of itself.
    • Space Fisherman Valkyrian: Valky, to hear him say it, is the most fabulous of aliens. He is also capable of changing size, but his energy blasting powers are an annoyance to his foes at best. His real power is in his golden weapon.
    • The Kemurian, Phantom Kidnapper: The Kemurian is capable of running at highway speeds, changing from human to giant size, and has magical teleportation goo that is highly flammable and shoots out of the nozzle on its head.
  • Faction: THE HEROIC ONE.
  • World of Origin: Earth
  • Personality: Had someone said Had someone said "Take this fancy trinket, these awesome monster dolls, and go beat up evil things" he would have jumped at the call. Granted, he'd probably ask to be paid for the use of his image, but that would just be to pay the bills. He's a man of moderate intelligence and has a patchwork knowledge of many subjects, mostly involving biology, computers, and physics, although nothing too specialized. He's torn between how awesome being a superhero is and how weird his various forms are.
  • Bio: An American with a love of all things superhero, he's visiting the island to take a break from college. His family's a little rough right now, but hopefully a vacation's just what he needs. Besides, ruins are awesome.
  • Quote: "A chicken, not-zilla, a golden dancing fisherman, a lobster-beetle thing with laserclaws, and... I don't even know what the heck Kemurian is. I should be glad I didn't get Lizardon."

Dreams of Revenge
#13: Nov 30th 2013 at 7:29:05 AM

Welp, I'm going to try my hand at creating a faction and a SI. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Character

  • Name: Flanker
  • Age: 19
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Flanker doesn't particularly look the part of a multiversal adventurer: he has somewhat scruffy dark brown hair, and is almost always seen wearing a pair of jeans and (now that the weather has gotten colder) a heavy sheepskin jacket. He also wears boots. However, after getting his powers his arms and legs are a black colour and are obviously artificial, and he has a pair of retractable golden shades.
  • Power:
    • Augmentations: Flanker has been cybernetically modified with the same augmentations as Adam Jensen, which include modifications to his arms, legs, etc. However, at the beginning he can only access a limited number of augmentations; with GM permission he may unlock others later on. They are as follows:
      • Dermal Armour: As the name suggests, this augmentation provides protection against various forms of attack. However, it does not protect against environmental contaminants or falls.
      • Info-Link: Allows Flanker to communicate silently with others due to implanted cochlear and vibration detection devices. Video signals are projected on to the user's retina.
      • Icarus Landing System: Projects an electromagnetic lensing field that pushes against the magnetosphere, slowing Flanker's descent and letting him fall safely from great heights. The Descent Velocity Modulator included as part of the landing system has a side-effect of stunning anyone directly underneath him, and if a light object is struck it'll simply be gently displaced instead.
      • Quicksilver Reflex Booster: A proverbial supercharger for the nervous system, the QRB enhances Flanker's reflexes to the point where he can fight two people in close combat at the same time.
      • Sentinel RX Health System: If Flanker is seriously injured, its limited "regenerative" capability can keep him standing (if not exactly in a state to fight) for a while longer, though it's no replacement for emergency care. Basically, if he's having to use this he's probably on his last legs anyway.
      • Retinal HUD: To quote the Deus Ex wiki: the HUD projected by the prosthesis provides data on the user's medical condition, available equipment, and wireless access to personal data storage.
      • Typhoon Explosive System: This augmentation essentially turns Flanker into a living hand grenade. The Typhoon is an anti-personnel weapon implanted in a series of subdermal pads along the back of the user's arms, upper legs, and torso. When activated, ball bearings are fired in a 360 degree arc around him and detonate, with the potential to knock down opponents at medium distances. However, it will only be at its most effective against unarmoured/lightly armoured targets, and ammunition is limited - Flanker will only start out with three packs. I'll be happy to nerf further.
      • Nanoceramic arm blades: These blades are stored in Flanker's forearms; when extended they can be rotated to various angles if necessary. They're very sharp, though they're probably somewhat fragile.
    • LS-66 Sabre Direct Energy Rifle (DER): Its ungainly appearance - seeming more fit for the laboratory than on the battlefield - belies the laser rifle's power. Accepting batteries rather than ammunition, the DER fires a continuous beam of energy that can penetrate thin obstacles and walls to hit targets lurking behind them. However, it can overheat, and it is more cumbersome and difficult to reload than conventional firearms. Some would say that its superb penetrative power would make up for this.
    • Zenith Pistol: This 10mm pistol looks unassuming enough, though thanks to its Armour Piercing System (which utilises fairly complex science) it can penetrate armour. Being a handgun, though, it doesn't do much damage. It is also short ranged.
  • Faction: Einherjar (which will be described below)
  • World of Origin: Earth
  • Personality: Flanker is a serious person, with an eye always on how to get the job done. However, he has a great compassionate streak and looks out for others. He tries to think through issues rather than heedlessly rushing into them. Unfortunately, this can mean he is occasionally paralysed with indecision when action is necessary. He's also a big old nerd.
  • Backstory: Growing up in Scotland, Flanker had always admired the heroes of old, and wanted to follow in their footsteps. He didn't get an opportunity to follow through on this dream, however, until he stumbled upon a little known place called Museum Island...
  • Quote: "I didn't ask for this... but I'm going to try my best anyway."

Faction

  • Name of Faction: Einherjar
  • Alignment: Hero
  • Goal: To protect the multiverse.
  • Leader: Flanker
  • Method of Transport: Starship. To be specific, a battered old YT-2400. Name to be decided (probably by other members of the faction).
  • Faction description: Though it has the same goals as Zyguard - to do good and protect the multiverse - Einherjar aims to avoid the passivity that Zyguard may fall victim to. As a result, it adopts a more proactive approach. Einherjar's members do good wherever possible, but they actively encourage others to help them as well... at least as long as they follow the relevant laws etc. in whichever universe they end up in (though if a law is obviously unjust they will err on the side of disobeying it to do good).

Although they have almost the same goals as Team Dai-Liner, they feel that they do it best when working under the rule of law and order. Their outlook on life can be summed up by Sophocles and Aristotle: "Nobody has a more sacred obligation to obey the law than those who make the law" and "Law is order, and good law is good order".

So yeah. I'm worried my character might be a bit on the powerful side (aside from the fact that if anyone's bulletproof his main weapons are kind of useless), so I'll incorporate nerfs as necessary.

  • Name: Chris
  • Age: Choose between 800, not long, and 20.
  • Gender: Female, or as female as she can be.
  • Appearance: Most of the time this, but also this to varying degrees.
  • Power: Reptile Greeed. That is, she's a monster with a body made of crystallised human desire in the form of a bunch of coins, with some extra medals representing a type of animals containing her full abilities and consciousness. She has three of these, for now—one Cobra medal, one Turtle medal, and one Crocodile medal.
    • Yummies: Being a Greeed, Chris has the ability to make Yummies—entities composed entirely of Cell Medals that represent one person's desires. Why do this? Well, as their host's desires are filled, they generate Cell Medals, and they're very important to a Greeed (not only are they functionally HP, they can also provide a BIG strength boost if you have enough).
Chris's Yummies start off as a single egg—much like the other female Greeed, they urge the person to start taking action towards fulfilling their wants. Once enough desire has accumulated, though, the incubation is complete, and the Yummy will take over and start 'helping' more directly.
    • Medal Abilities: She has infrared vision, can fight defensively because her arms can form a shield, and her kicks are liable to end in bloodshed. Nifty collection of physical abilities, really. Things get stronger as she gets more medals, or she could entirely lose either of the second abilities if she loses those medals (losing the head medal is pretty impossible)
    • Dishing Out Dirt: As a Greeed, she also has elemental abilities. In her case? Rock-related. Nothing too noticeable with her being this weak, but this quite drastically scales in power as more medals are gained.
  • Faction: The Bad Guys
  • World of Origin: Kamen Rider (Specifically, based on stuff from OOO)
  • Personality: Like all Greeed, Chris has a vast desire for completeness, one that defines and is responsible for her entire existence. She is, however, rather laid back about it—maybe because none of her medals are known for being particularly active creatures. She's very persistent about trying to find something that can be enjoyed despite a Greeed's blunted senses—if only because it's so unusual it still manages to stand out.
Not having been born with the other Greeed or aware of their backstory, she's of the opinion she won't be complete until all ten medals are obtained—there were ten slots in that holder thing, after all.
  • Backstory: Like the other Greeed, Chris's Core Medals were made 800 years ago, in this case by Gara—putting them on a level of power somewhat above the normal sets, but below the sheer destructive nightmare (especially because hers are defensive in nature) of the PuToTyra medals. She did not, however, get woken at that point. Nope, she wasn't 'born' until much more recently, in Rio at guess what time of year...
As for how three of her medals ended up in old Edo? Either an accident involving a train, or careless flipping of stuff to the Cretaceous.
  • Quote: "Have you seen my medals? Look like this? Surprisingly durable?"

...Oh right, need to write up a faction thingy too. Especially since the dinotrain is the perfect transportation and base of operations.[lol]

Hm, um, so, I have... two characters left, one of whom will be a canon, and the other who... needs some serious work even though I've decided on one of the things she'll have.

Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself here, but I wonder if the YT-2400 should be a stock model or a modified one (and if so, in what ways)?

Um... minor issue, Flank: I think every character thus far submitted, and at least one more planned villain, is immune to small arms fire. ^^;

@Anno's canon character: I swear, if you use Ryuuko, I will be forced to bring along Mako. No ifs ands or buts.

Also, I'll try to do the SI thingy again.

Eh-heh, unfortunately I don't want to take Ryuuko for anything until Kill la Kill is finished. Which is restraining me from picking another character too actually.

I'm not sure who my canon character will be, really.

@Raineh:

I've taken another look through the character list and here's what I can see:

  • Anno: nothing seems to indicate that she would be bulletproof, aside from (I imagine) increased durability.

  • Nomura: Likewise.

  • Rain: See above, again aside from presumably improved durability.

  • Moerin: Maybe? it is a mystery

  • Rachel: As above.

  • John: it is a mystery

  • Chris: Shield is probably bulletproof for obvious reasons.

They would all take reduced damage, though, in the interests of fairness.

Of the above, he is unlikely to fight anyone except Nomura and Chris, which makes their bulletproofness a non-issue. And since they're unlikely to be the only bad guys, that makes the issue more soluble.

Furthermore, if it does become a major problem, then I can easily switch out the machine pistol for a pistol with the Armour Piercing System, which (from memory) uses quantum tunneling to get past armour. And if all else fails I can switch out both weapons for more powerful equivalents.

If his weapons are underpowered, it's mostly because I'm trying to offset the power of his augmentations (which include a degree of super strength and the ability to exceed "normal" ranges of motion for hands/arms for various close combat techniques).

Flank, with all the buffs and bizarre scifi armour piercing rounds, you're probably on a level with the Skull stuff.

Basically: all Kamen Riders and Kamen Rider villains seem to be bulletproof by default (and I KNOW that Yummies are) and require extra stuff to harm them. Pretty much the same for Anno's thing, because Magical Girl†

I have not seen the series in question, therefore I could only go off what the sign-up told me - and the sign-up did not mention anything that hinted at that level of durability.

EDIT:

@Raineh:

Right, thanks.

I think I might switch the machine pistol with the Zenith + APS after all; not sure what the Combat Rifle's replacement should be.

I think you should just go for more of the sci-fi stuff and you'd be just fine and perfectly balanced out, honestly.

And, um, to be fair, I didn't mention the durability because I wasn't sure how to word it and then kind of forgot after I got into the docking part, eh-heh. ^^;

Edit: Also, um, I don't... think Zyguard are villains. Katsumi definitely isn't, at least, although there probably will be some fighting between Zyguard and the heroic factions from what I understand.
