Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

I've cut the original page and added a reply to your YKTTW.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Pansexuality or omnisexuality, is sexual attraction, sexual desire, romantic love, or emotional attraction toward people of any sex or gender identity. Self-identified pansexuals may consider pansexuality a sexual orientation, and refer to themselves as gender-blind, asserting that gender and sex are insignificant or irrelevant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others.
isn't the same as
Pan Sexual does not usually think at all about gender when it comes to relationships, and usually not even about the actual act of sex at all.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.(Pansexuality) sexual attraction, sexual desire, romantic love, or emotional attraction toward people of any sex or gender identity. ...gender and sex are insignificant or irrelevant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others
is a damn sight closer to
(Pan Sexual) does not usually think at all about gender when it comes to relationships,
than either of them is to
(Single-Target Sexuality) "Is sexually attracted to one person and one person only."

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Both are "does not think about gender/sex at all when it comes to relationships". STT is a trope because the character in the story is interested in only one other character. Pan Sexual has no indexes or trope examples, so it is based narratively on... what?
Or are you saying that adefinition page is sufficient for our purposes?
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Single-Target Sexuality and Pan Sexual are not the same thing at all. The first trope is about being attracted to one person only, the second about being so to all genders. I am not even sure why that is under discussion.
Anyhow, worklist:
- Afterlife Labirynth: I am not sure if the namespace is appropriate, ~Bartek Chom 1, what kind of medium is that?
- Maryjale Prep: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Unrest: Stub work page; creator messaged.
I'm worried that if Pansexual stays around, it might get a lot of 'he/she hits everything' misexamples. But maybe I'm weird.
It should at least be kicked back to YKTTW to see if there's a viable trope available.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettWhat's wrong about Afterlife Labirynth? It is original work published in the web, about fictive character and events, written in episodes. Should namespace be Literature/? I've already heard somewhere that it is to pathetic to be a short story, so I don't know what it is.
'he/she hits everything' is a trope called Extreme Omnisexual.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Extreme Omnisexual is "This is a character who would bed, can bed, or has bedded anything. By "anything" we mean absolutely anything, up to and including the bed itself."
Not the same thing as "sexual attraction, sexual desire, romantic love, or emotional attraction toward people of any sex or gender identity." (OK, the Wikipedia definition, but fictional definitions fall under that as well).
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYes, trope versus definition.
If a character doesn't have sex with a bed, are we going to disqualify them from Extreme Omnisexual?
Check me on this, do we have a trope for "hetersexual male who is only interested in heterosexual females"?
edited 29th Jul '14 11:23:48 AM by crazysamaritan
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.No. We have a number of tropes for what happens when a het male who is only interested in het females does something about it. Otherwise, it's Chairs.
Samaritan, you seem to be losing track of what tropes are in your desire to lump SST and Pansexuality.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Pansexual sounds like the same thing as Extreme Omnisexual.
I'm not lumping them, I'm saying that the current page "Main.Pan Sexual" is about a single relationship, which makes it our Single-Target Sexuality trope. It lists the definition of the word "pansexuality" which is not a trope any more than "heterosexual male is sexually attracted to heterosexual female".
If Alice is only sexually interested in one character, that's Single-Target Sexuality, even if Alice is a pansexual.
If Alice has sex with lots of men, then that's Really Gets Around, even if Alice is a pansexual.
If Alice is interested in several men, and then flirts with a woman, then that's Bi The Way, even if Word of God is that Alice is pansexual.
If Alice has sex with pretty much everyone, then that's Extreme Omnisexual.
TRS thread that created Extreme Omnisexuality.
In a similar vein to my last few posts to this thread, creader today created AwesomeMusic.Sintel with just one example - and a Zero-Context Example to boot. I've sent them a PM about subpages needing at least three examples to justify their creation (this isn't even the only single-example subpage created today by creader), but should the page be left as is and allowed to be fleshed out in time, or should it be cut after its content is moved back to YMMV.Sintel and AwesomeMusic.Western Animation?
ETA: Looks as though creader got the message, rendering this a non-issue. Never mind!

Pan Sexual does not require the sexuality to be directed at one person. Anyhow, anyone up for re-YKTTW'ing it?
Today's worklist:
- Ai Mai Mi: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Arctic Rising: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Music Within: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Risingverse: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Also, ~Dalillama, don't forget to cutlist sandboxes after you've launched them. ~snake300 also could use some help indexing Awesome.Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2.
Finally, in the irregular "related issue" column, I'll ask for commentary on this YKTTW.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think pansexual might be sufficiently distinct from existing tropes, but the page is so poorly done it's worth cutting anyway. Maybe YKTT Wing it as well, but unless someone wants to do that, I'm fine with a straight cut.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Inexplicably Preserved Dungeon Meat was launched with zero hats.
Might be worth looking into?
On one hand, hat's don't necessarily matter, the description's pretty good, and I like the title... on the other, 12 days is very short for a YKTTW, people suggested other titles, and other than myself, no one commented on the overlap with Hyperactive Metabolism. Also, I just found Indestructible Edible which might make it obsolete.
I say cut and send it back for discussion as to whether it's distinct from Indestructible Edible.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.It should also probably be on the Adverbly Adjective Noun index. Minor complaint, but I just noticed it.
seconded. I'm actually leaning towards discarding this entirely due to not being distinct from Indestructible Edible, but that's a conversation for the YKTTW
Today's work- and replieslist:
- Assassin's Creed: Unity: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Breaking Point: Seems like a duplicate of Breaking Point; cutlisted it and messaged the creator.
- Community.Dwarf Fortress: This is a general fandom page.
- Douchebag Chocolat: I cleaned this out a bit, but I don't think it has a point without any trope examples and in the wrong namespace to boot.
- Fuck No TV Tropes: Moved it to the Blog/ namespace.
- Inexplicably Preserved Dungeon Meat: That is not the same thing as Indestructible Edible; the latter is just any implausibly long-lasting food, while this trope is a game mechanic that can affect one's gameplay/game chances. I don't like the hatless launch, though.
- Omega Male: Very short, YKTTW-less stubby trope by ~jadedNYr. I see that ~The One Who Tropes already cutlisted it.
- Pan Sexual: I agree with cutting this as a stub and to ask ~Neutral Person to re-YKTTW it.
Also still seeking opinions regarding the aforelinked YKTTW.
eta: Rechecking that Tumblr's edit history, it seems like the staff is aware of the page so my question is probably moot.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAbout Ambiguously Christian: I'd cut it.
I also messaged the person who created Omega Male about new tropes needing to go through YKTTW, no response. Breaking Point looks like it was made in main, then they realised they needed to put it on Fanfic, so I cutlisted it. I don't know if I messaged the creator about that one.
EDIT: No I didn't and I should have done.
Should I do something else with stub trope pages?

Keeper of The Celestial Flame
Ok so with the links on here and a clearer idea of what I'm supposed to do, I made a YKTTW for Gay Percentage. I have no idea how to delete or disable the original page. I'm sorry again.
