Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Okay, as far as a summary goes, I've looked on amazon and good reads and all of them generally seem to say "Lenk and his team go on adventures taking the vilest of jobs because that's all an adventurer can take". I mean, individual books have slightly more detailed plot summaries, but as an overarching plot, I'm not sure what is all being connected here. Again, this is a problem with not having read the books completely. I've expanded it as much as I was able, but someone who has actually read the books needs to come in and redo it.
I did give more detail to the tropes listed, and I've indexed them in the Fantasy Literature and Literature from the 2010's, as suggested, and I crosswicked two of them as well. I'm somewhat unsure what using the Sandbox page means, however, so can you explain that a little more? I apologize if this is obvious, but I'm a noob when it comes to making pages and I obviously did not choose my first page well. I just want to get this page up to the point where it's self sustaining. After that, I'm perfectly open to leaving it for the actual fans who've read the books.

Hello! I've never actually done this before, buuuuut The Fantasy Chronicler created Kilo Wick, which is (according to its description) a collection of pages that don't quite have enough wicks to count as Trope Overdosed yet. It was intended as a Just for Fun page, so I'm not quite sure what to do, but Fighteer advised I bring it up here and notify the editor as well, so I've done both.
^^ While as a wiki a page is never really "finished" (not even locked pages, as they can be unlocked later for changing, and many have in the past), the goal when making a new page is having it ready to go from the second you launch it.
Pages in the Sandbox namespace, however, are exempt from that requirement, allowing you to bang away on a "work in progress", so to speak, without bothering the rest of the wiki. Think of it as your own private workshop where you can create the page.
Once you think a sandbox page is ready to go, you can just copy the contents to the appropriate link. In the case in question, Sandbox/AeonsGate is the temporary workplace, with Literature/AeonsGate being where you'd post the sandbox content once it's ready to go live.
All your safe space are belong to Trump^^Just as a note ~Tropers/LinkToTroperPage is the right format to message tropers with.
Otherwise:
- ''BBK/BRNK
- It Was There the Whole Time: Good trope, not enough examples and no YKTTW by ~Bluepengie.
- Mage Knight: ~Norm4n Duke, please don't make up namespaces like that, thanks!
- Running Around in Circles: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Thuktun's CRISIS: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Tremors: As noted to ~pittsburghmuggle on the discussion page, this page does not seem to meet the criteria of the Franchise/ namespace by virtue of having work pages in only two media.
Septimus responded on that discussion asking me why I "created a franchise page for a franchise with only two medium". I have never seen a listing for how many medium are required for a "Franchise", and assumed a series of five films and one TV series (of which I've only seen the first two films) was at the point where a Franchise page would allow a central hub. Having series-wide tropes lumped in the page for the first film feels messy.
Is there a limit to mediums to qualify for a "Franchise" page? If so I haven't seen it. I'm not saying it's not out there, or hasn't been discussed - I simply haven't seen it.

"Freedom is not a license for chaos" -Norton Juster's The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematicswe operate on Rule of Three here IIRC, so three different mediums for a franchise
What is the best way to handle multiple films, particularly when the overarching name of the series is the same as that of the first film? I would assume creating a disambiguation page of Tremors Series that holds the universal tropes and a list of works, but I'll be first to admit that I've been wrong many times in the past.
Sometimes I run into trouble around here because I don't follow the forums - at all. I suspect plenty of tropers do the same thing. I keep myself to the pages I work on and discussion pages. Hence I'll often hear "This was decided" or "this has been discussed". I only ever come to the forums when someone calls something to my attention through private message.
I just want the forum tropers discussing all this to be aware that just because it is discussed on the forums does not mean it's getting out to the general tropers. Many rules are enforced haphazardly - a page for a major motion picture like The Force Awakens is kept impeccable, but folks who frequent less-known work pages can edit according to old guidelines for years without anyone noticing.
"Freedom is not a license for chaos" -Norton Juster's The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower MathematicsAye, this is a problem. I am working on a tech change that will facilitating forum participation to some degree.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAnd I think that as long as people get a nice PM (and know to respond back to it), preferably to a link to the rules page in question, before suspensions get thrown around, the system usually works. It is, in some ways, no different from how most people don't look up traffic regulations after they get their license, and the police tend to understand that and let people off with a warning the first time when the rules change or new signals or signs get added.
~Septimus Heap, I honestly have no idea what that means O_o (nor if this sort of "tag" will actually work. I'm new to the forums)
The "namespace" is the part right before the name, like "Film" or "Literature". The system uses that namespace for specific purposes, so there are a limited number of valid. "BoardGame" is not a valid namespace. We put those under "TabletopGame". Non-coincidentally, there's already a page at the latter, Mage Knight. I'd suggest that you make your updates there, possibly with a heading of "these tropes apply to the remake" if they differ.
Anti-Magic Mirror looks like a magic specific version of Mirrors Reflect Everything done without YKTTW and two examples

Back to the Tacticool thing, honestly that seems more like a page defining a fanspeak term more than anything else. Which does not a trope make. I say it can go bye-bye, as someone mentioned, In-Universe examples are covered quite cleanly by Awesome, but Impractical.
Though do we have a trope for someone who is a newbie to something overcompensating with Awesome, but Impractical items because they don't know better? That might be a valid subtrope.
EDIT: Oh, it's been cut. Nevermind.
Regarding Kilo Wick... that's a really really weird thing because Kilo Wick is used on This Very Wiki kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda meaning the exact opposite of how the page uses it... the Series.Buffy The Vampire Slayer page uses it as something that surpasses Trope Overdosed, not something that isn't yet Trope Overdosed.
So yeah. Whether or not "not quite Trope Overdosed" is worthwhile (and if it is, specific criteria really does need to be created), the page has to be cut due to its odd name.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Today's worklist:
- Care Bears & Cousins: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- A Christmas Carol (1999): Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Vibe: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Youkai Shoujo: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Unpleasant Parent Reveal made it through the normal YKTTW process but somehow its similarity to Luke, I Am Your Father was ignored. Thoughts?
^ The first paragraph makes it sound like a subtrope of Luke, I Am Your Father. Said trope covers all dramatic parent reveals- Unpleasant Parent Reveal covers the parent being involved in the wrong side of the law/society/the fundamental conflict of good and evil.
Second paragraph is just tacked on nonsense and shouldn't have made it through YKTTW.

Today's worklist:
- Chronicles Of Threa: ~Totor999, why is this page in the JFF namespace?
- Find A Grave: Is this a work page? To me it seems more like some random Real Life troping.
- The Grinder: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Metallic: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Worth Some Schmeckles: Stub trope without YKTTW by ~whalewithwings.
Because it doesn't actually exist?
I took a look at Persona 4gotten. There are enough tropes, so it just needs more wiki magic.

Bluntly, at this point those entries aren't suitable for putting on their respective trope pages. ZCEs are prohibited everywhere.
