This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking For An Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Everything Is Big in Texas has two quotes. My vote is for the first quote, as the second quote is not directly on point and is unattributed.

Everything Is Big in Texas: I do not like either quote, because the first one seems to parrot the trope name too closely.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanZap 'em both, and purge the second one entirely (no Quotes tab entry).

All your safe space are belong to TrumpRe: Texas quote — I think both could go to the tab. And at the tab, there is this one I happen to like.
"A Texan is a man who can't decide whether Texas has the biggest midgets in the world, or the smallest."
Question: Inevitable Waterfall's "New Groove" quote is nearly all blue with potholes, and it has a (n active) vid linked to the work title. Are either of these permitted? (I think the all blue part is iffy, if I remember right.)
The quote itself, on the other hand, is perfect.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe potholes and vid are just a distraction. Cut them.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Killer Becomes the Killed: Two quotes, no quotes page. I like the first.
Edit: Inevitable Waterfall quote: Removed potholes, moved the vid link down to the actual entry. (It is funny.)

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI agree on the first, considering that the trope seems to be specific for when the bad person is killed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAnyone else have any input on the suggested quote for Everything Is Bigger In Texas?
"A Texan is a man who can't decide whether Texas has the biggest midgets in the world, or the smallest."
Not sure, but let's get rid of both, and definitely the second.
Also, the quote on Stupid Scientist is pretty lame. It seems more like Cassandra Truth, Flat-Earth Atheist, or Agent Scully.
Stupid Scientist: Yeah, pull that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBut the trope's definition seems to be "A scientist tempts fate," which the quote is a pretty good example of.
A scientist saying that there probably isn't human-like life on Mars isn't stupid, it's just Genre Blind. If that is the case, then Stupid Scientist is a bad name and should be changed.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. The Killer Becomes the Killed: Removed the second quote and put on the Discussion page. (Because the last time I tried to make a sub-page, it didn't go so well. )
Plunder has a quote that is 8 lines long, and I can't see the trope in it. I like the Lord of the Rings quote on the Quotes page.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettPlunder: Same for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Canterbury Tales has a quote so long it pushes the text of the page out of sight.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Killer Becomes the Killed: Created the Quotes/ page by putting the removed quote there.
Plunder: Also agreed.
The Canterbury Tales: That's the opening of the work, so I can see why it was included, but it's also too long for a page quote. I say move the whole thing to the Quotes/ page, and maybe use the following for the actual page. It's still a little long (6 lines), but it would be difficult to get shorter than that, I think. We might be able to just do the last 4 lines, but it does remove the reference to the fact that this is a game.
- He saide, "Sin I shal biginne the game,
What, welcome be the cut, in Goddes name!
Now lat us ride, and herkneth what I saye."
And with that word we riden forth oure waye,
And he bigan with right a merye cheere
His tale anoon, and saide as ye may heere.

Lack of Empathy and It's All About Me have the same quote. I think it's a much better fit for Lack of Empathy. Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement quote on It's All About Me?
I like this one off the quotes subpage.
Fry: Bender! This has nothing to do with you!
Bender: That's impossible!

Under the Sea has two quotes. The first is a parody of the Trope Namer, and I think it would be better relegated to the Quotes page. The second is even less relevant.
Xylophone Gag has two quotes, first one should stay.
New theme music also a boxI like it.
@Nocturna: Thank you very much for doing that.
Swapped out the quotes on Plunder.
I like the Futurama quote for All About Me.
Under the Sea: I say cut them both.
Xylophone Gag: The first perfectly sums up the point of the gag.
Try Not to Die has two quotes. The second one is the Trope Namer, but the quote I thought of first when I saw the Trope Name was the quote farther down the page, from The Incredibles.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettIt's All About Me: I actually prefer this quote from the quotes page:
SELFISH, adj.
Devoid of consideration for the selfishness of others.
— The Devil's Dictionary
The first one needs to die in a fire. The second one isn't quite so bad, but surely there's a better one out there.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
