This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Okay, Missed Him by That Much quote was removed.
One for Sorrow, Two for Joy has two quotes, both of which cover different aspects of the trope. Part of me likes the second quote for not being the obvious one, while the other part of me says keep the first one, because people are going to say "But why didn't you use that one?" if we don't keep the rhyme.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute. One for Sorrow, Two for Joy: First quote (the second doesn't look pertinent to me), but cut the irrelevant material.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think either quote works.
^^ The trope is about magpies. The first quote is the poem the name was taken from, but doesn't seem to have anything to do with magpies, unless you know that some versions of the rhyme is counting magpies to tell a fortune (blackbirds and crows are used in other versions). The second applies to the trope.
The trope page itself needs work, too. About half the examples are about the rhyme, not the birds.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I agree that the page needs work. It should probably be split into two pages, one for the nursery rhyme and one for the bird. But, in the mean time, maybe both should be moved to the quotes page until that's fixed?
My alignment is Chaotic Cute. There is a new quote on Fist Pump: And you all cry for freedom/Raise your fists to the sky. Suitable or no? It makes me think of Milking the Giant Cow.
Does not look like the trope to me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCleveland has two quote. I like the second one better. It reflects how Cleveland it used in media better than the first quote.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Second one works.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOK, as only Septimus made a post about the quote on Fist Pump, I'll remove it.
Transparent Closet is no real life examples, but the quote is basically a Take That! at a real person. I suggest replacing it with this quote from the quotes page:
Kurt: Dad... I have something I want to say. I'm glad that you are proud of me... but I don't want to lie any more. Being part of the Glee club and football has really shown me that I can be anything. And... what I am... is... [Taking the leap]... I'm gay.
Burt: [Without pause or shock] I know.
Kurt: Really?!
Burt: I've known since you were three. All you wanted for your birthday was a pair of sensible heels.

My alignment is Chaotic Cute. That suggestion is OK for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDefinitely agree with the swap there.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Also agreed.
The quote on Transparent Closet has been changed.
Bed Trick has a partially spoilered quote. It works fine without the spoiled lines, or with the spoilered lines revealed. I'm looking for input on which change to make.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Bed Trick: Spoilerworthy or no, the spoilered bits don't add anything but clutter. Ax them.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSex Is Violence: Without knowing the source material, doesn't really have anything to do with anything.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Yeah, cut that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSex Is Violence: Yeah, doesn't make sense out of context. Maybe replace it with this quote:
Big Barda: Do you know what they call this on Apokolips, harridan? (snaps Knockout's wrist) Foreplay.
Similarly, the quote on Alas, Poor Scrappy makes no sense. Doesn't look like anything on the quote page works as a replacement. I suggest just cutting it.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute. That's a good replacement for Sex Is Violence.
And the one on Alas, Poor Scrappy makes it seem like a character the speaker enjoys.
Check out my fanfiction!Dump Months: The quote itself is fine, my issue is with the sinkholes. Counting The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers as "a few truly great summer movies" works, but everything else seems so random. Prometheus and Amazing Spider Man are sinkholed into the same category when they're, at best, Base Breakers, and everything else just seems... pretty arbitrary.
I vote we change the "a few truly great summer movies" sinkhole to The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers, the "kinda disappointing ones" to So Okay, It's Average, and "really crappy ones" to So Bad Its Horrible... that is, if we even want to keep the potholes at all.
EDIT: Okay, So Bad Its Horrible is redlinked, presumably because it's Darth Wiki. I just say axe the potholes.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I'm not even sure we'd want to keep those in there unless it's the quoted person's opinion. TV Tropes really shouldn't be calling individual movies "truly great", especially when the context is insulting everything else that came out during that time.
I'd say take out the links to specific movies altogether.
"a few truly great summer movies" should be potholed to Summer Blockbuster; the other links should go away completely (except the one on "Oscar" to "Academy Award" — that one can stay.) The others are, at best, editorializing and at worst, complaining.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Yeah, I'm super okay with yanking all specific references altogether.

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
I'm all for removing both. But I wanted to see if anyone had an idea something that could replace it, because my hunting around has come up empty.
For Red Herring, I always laugh at "Communism was just a red herring." from Clue, but I'm not sure how well it works as a pae quote, out of context.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.
