Right, but what if he cheats and says "Your own original character"? Because he will do that.

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.I've gotten that multiple times, it's why I said to pick a medium. Go for video games, movies, all of them, something like that.
Read my stories!Well, Jack Clive is now in the Akinator database. I guess saying "no" to "your original character" counts as it is too general.
EDIT: The medium we in Writer's Block are usually writing in is either novels or comic books, no? So why wouldn't someone go for the medium in which the work is to be written?

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.he thought Erin was Alanna the Lioness (from Tamora Pierce). ive never heard of her or the book. but it looks like it takes place in a medieval period so eeeeh maybe
I've read those series. It's a feminist series, where a girl pretends to be a boy so she can be a knight.
Anne: For different varieties. Different mediums generate different answers.
For instance, Nia, my dark skinned gypsy girl who fights, got Kendra, from Buffy.

Read my stories!i decided to say no to him, and so it continued for another round...erin then got sonea from magicians guild iirc.
went for another round. now she's rip van winkle. yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaah i take it thats why you say yes instead of going another round?
I tried my version of Beowulf for the sake of curiosity and got a few adorable blond bishounen, but not the mythological Beowulf.
If that's how far I've strayed from his characterization in the source material, my mission is accomplished!
Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.Tarsen: You can go another round, if you want. Sometimes it will give you more accurate ones, other times it will just get more confused.
Read my stories!Gave Jack another shot, and incidentially got the main character of his favorite book.
Just put the number backwards akinator and you've got the title.
Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.Put my Big Bad in and got somebody named, IIRC, "Ziltoid the Omniscient". Never heard of him. I didn't actually select any mediums, so I'll try that next time.

I tried it out with a bunch of fictional characters and a few random people (Ammy, Issun, Susano, Amelia, Hei, Russia, Anthony Bourdain, Dante Aligheri, Link), and it eventually guessed them right almost every time. The only time I stumped it was with Amelia, but she's from an obscure children's book series.
So then I told my little sister about it and she came up with a myriad of characters from various Disney Channel shows, Strawberry Shortcake, and even Barney the Dinosaur, and it guessed her right every time. She declared it one of the creepiest things ever, and balled up into the fetal position on the floor at one point.
Anyways... I did my four protagonists.
- I tested Kiyoi Shimada, and it came up with Sparhawk from Elenium by David Eddings (never heard of it), so I kept going one more time, and it said that he was my OC.
- And then I did Adrian Kunstler, and it came up with Jon Snow from A Song Ofice And Fire the first time. And then it came up with Mr. Chau from Scott Pilgrim and Abhorsen from Old Kingdom. I don't know any of these people, but I'm pretty sure they're off.
- Next up is Akura Shimada. First, it came up with Renly Baratheon from A Song Ofice And Fire, then Stannis Baratheon from the same series, Asher of Restharven from Kingmaker and Kingbreaker.
- And, finally, the moment of truth, Vinicio Acquati. First, it was Kelsier from Mistborn, and then it said that he was an OC.
So, yeah. That was interesting.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."It gives you the source of the character? Where? I'm still trying to find out who this Ziltoid guy is.
Meanwhile, The Smart Guy was instantly pegged as my original character, so he got that one right.
It usually tells you where the character's from in parenthesis after the character name.
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Jack is not most definitely not Viserys Targaryen! Nor is he Theon Greyjoy! Nor Alibaba!
Although at the end after he revealed that he was stumped one of the options was Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish, which is interesting...
Very interesting...
But no. XD
Has ADD, plays World of Tanks, thinks up crazy ideas like children making spaceships for Hitler. Occasionally writes them down.Holy crap, that's awesome, I got John The Savage from Brave New World.
At first I didn't realize I needed all this stuff...Apparently the Genie doesn't know anybody from the Myth series of games. I've tested two fallen lords and an ancient hero. Connacht the Wolf, Soulblighter and Shiver. All negative.
yeyWait, there are people other than me who like the Myth series!? I've never met someone who's even heard of it before!
I write pretty good fanfiction, sometimes. This is unexpectedly fun, if somewhat unsuccessful. I did several more Nerds and a pair of villains:
- For Gary, it first gave me Axis Powers Hetalia's America - don't know enough about it to say for sure, but if I'm right in assuming he's an Eagleland stereotype, then no. Second, it claimed I wasn't really thinking of anyone. A failure.
- For Drew, I got the "I wasn't really thinking of anyone" answer again first. Going on got me "The one who created this site"! Again, pretty bad job, genie.
- For Kyle. first result was "I don't know" (by this point I was having my doubts about this guy). Then I got "I wasn't really thinking of anyone" again. 0 for 3 so far, although one of the alternate suggestions was James T. Kirk, which fit some.
- For Joe Smoe, first result was once again "I wasn't really thinking of anyone". Second was the White Spy of Spy Versus Spy, which at least fits the general genre. I gave it to him here simply for coming up with an actual character for once.
- And finally, Bad Ron. First result was Shredder of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and from what I recall of the 1987 Shredder at least, this is actually pretty good. I gave it to him.
Still, overall it was at best 2 for 5 with an awful lot of non-answers. Am I doing something wrong here?
Tried it again with my love interest and it got Emily Fields. It asked some pretty nonindicative or superficial questions, though.
Got Bill Denbrough for my main character's best friend.
Got Meggie Folchart for The Vamp, but that might be because Akinator asked me if the character was female five times.
Got Lucinda Price for my main character's best friend's love interest.

At first I didn't realize I needed all this stuff...I guess they must have archived the last time I tried this. I figured it would be a useful tool for characterization. Not so much—my antihero was "your character from World of Warcraft," and my Lady of Black Magic was Dormin (whom she has almost nothing in common with besides not being human.)
Edit: Did it again with a psychotic suit of Animated Armor. It guessed it was an OC, then went for someone named Cara from The Sword Of Truth (which I haven't actually read.) Judging by the series character sheet, it's actually a pretty good guess.

That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulI ran through it with the three main characters of my current project: a nerdy grad student who doesn't want to grow up, a free-spirited would-be musician who just wants to be special, and her very uptight but magically talented half-brother who just wants to be normal.
I got Victorique from Gosick, Robin from How I Met Your Mother, and Mikiya from Kara No Kyoukai, respectively. All of which is pretty ridiculous (though I admit that for the last one, when I told Akinator that he's gay and wears glasses I was half expecting to end up with some yaoi Bastard Boyfriend, so I guess Mikiya is better than that?). Either Akinator is a little biased towards Japanese media, or my character types are more anime-ish than I thought they were.
Yeah! I got the guy to correctly guess Jack Clive after 40 questions!
EDIT: Hey, was somebody else playing Jack besides me? Akinator asked me if he had red hair, and then if he had an unusual hair color, both of which are correct.

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.I just tried to play Jack, and he ended up in that character list that you get after you beat the Genie.
What I'm wondering is how the hell he ended up in the Akinator Database.
EDIT: Or... did annebeeche add him herself? I dunno.

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Okay, time to do Justin:
First Guess: Light Yagami. Of course.
Second Guess: Speed Racer. Not exactly...
Third Guess: Koyomi Araragi. Who is this guy?
Fourth Guess: Kousaka Kyousuke. Again, I don't know this guy.

Akinator
We all know the buggerhead. Guy who is crazy good at guessing.
So, for fun, think of your own characters, pick a medium of entertainment, see what you get. Be nice, and say he got it right, but find out which characters are similar to yours.
