About the freezing, it's of the Harmless Freezing variety and lasts for approx. 5 seconds, long enough for Subs to get a free hit in.

In that case, I'd suggest we make it more a fairly thick coating of ice, rather than their actual body being frozen. That way people can try to break out of it if they're strong enough/have an appropriate ability/weapon, and I stop my inner biologist from yelling "their cells should be mush right now!" tongue

Probably is that actually, watch this trailer for MK 9 and the way the ice shatters from Scorpion.

Although I don't like the idea of nulling his main and only ability if the opponent has big muscles This guy is as freezable as any other.

Hmm, thats a good point. In that case, I'd probably say that only characters that are especially, ridiculously strong (as in, superman-level strong) would be able to crack the ice on their own, and I'm not even sure we have someone like that on the roster. Everyone else would have to try using a weapon or spell, assuming they even have time.

Because it more-or-less guarantees there's a GM available if something goes horribly wrong?

What Deadbeat said - Many hands make light work, especially in a crisis. This way there's usually one GM online at all times, and no-one gets burned out or frustrated. I seriously doubt one or two people on their own would be able to handle the 40+ players we have now.

Also, this way we have a lot more creative muscle. Some of our best ideas for this season were the product of joint brainstorming sessions between all 6 of us.

  • Name: Mordecai and Rigby;.
  • Universe: Regular Show. Sometime after Grave Sights. (since that was the most recent episode aired at this time.)
  • Appearance: The duo.
  • Powers/Skills: These guys are badass normals, and they've been through many weird situations before. Mordecai and Rigby are good fighters, but Rigby cannot punch for beans. However, they know Death kwan do, which grants them special abilities. However, they have to be wearing daisy dukes and have combed hair in order to use Death kwan do. Both characters have different abilities.
    • Rigby:
      • The death punch. When Rigby punches, he sends out a shockwave from his fist that can do a lot of damage. (a nerf hasn't been suggested in the discussion thread, so waiting for one here.)
    • Mordecai:
      • The death block. It can block the death punch. Probably can block other things too. (only been seen blocking the death punch.)
      • The death jump. Grants Mordecai the ability to fly.
      • The death dump. No idea what this is. (they never show it in the show itself. Though the show implies it would clog toilets if used there.)
  • Equipment: Daisy dukes and a comb. Also, a video game console. (complete with controllers and games. Though this is just for flavor.)
  • Entry Point: B
  • "Why did you pick this character?": I'm a huge fan of Regular Show and their characterization is something I can work with. I really think it would be interesting to play as them.

  • Name: Colonel Jade Curtiss, born as Jade Balfour. Also known as Jade the Necromancer or the Father of Fomicry.
  • Universe: Tales Of The Abyss
  • Personality: Bright, sociable... sarcastic and a Deadpan Snarker. Also very manipulative, though in a good way. Likes messing around with people's heads.
  • Powers: Fon Tech Mastery, Blade On A Stick summon, and Arcane/Strike Artes. He is also somewhat stronger than a regular man since he can push a heavy crate with only one arm and usually wields a Lance/Spear/Halberd easily. He is also very knowledgable on technology and human bodies, possessing a very high IQ.
  • Appearance: Here you go.
  • Equipment: A lance that his grafted to his arm's Fon Slot which he can summon out. His glasses serve as a seal for his more destructive Artes. He also carries a pack of Gels and other consumables.
  • Entry Point: A
  • Why did you pick this character?: Thought it was time to bring in a jaded character, pardon the pun. Thhat and his Deadpan Snarker levels is very high. tongue

  • Name: Hakumen, alias Jin Kisaragi (But don't call him that).
  • Universe: Blaz Blue, after the True Ending
  • Appearance: Here. And here too.
  • Personality: Hakumen, put bluntly, is kind of a dick. He is extremely devoted to justice and order to the point of being a Knight Templar, and will not hesitate to smack anyone down if he thinks they deserve it. He's also pretty smug about his (admittedly-impressive) power, and he will rub that fact in his opponents' faces in the hammiest way possible. Despite this, if someone is strong or determined enough, they will earn his respect— although don't quite expect him to acknowledge it.
  • Powers/Skills:
    • Hakumen has exceptional strength and fighting ability. His armor/body, the Sankishin Unit "Susanooh", allows him to tap into reserves of energy allowing him to fight for an hour without tiring. He can tap even further into these reserves and enter a Super Mode, allowing him to exponentially boost his strength, speed and durability, but at the cost of shortening the time he can fight.
    • The fact that he has a mechanical body means he does not need to eat or drink.
    • The eyes all over his armor allow him to see, as the helmet features no visor.
    • Hakumen can also perform a dash of sorts (similar to Megaman X) when walking is too slow.
    • Hakumen's fighting style relies a lot on counter-maneuvers and retaliatory strikes, exploiting an opponent's missteps to punish them relentlessly. His ultimate attack, "Final Judgment: Retribution—Perish Evil", is basically a counterattack that deals devastating amounts of damage. To compensate for such power, it requires precise timing and a lot of energy, and stops Hakumen from moving while he executes it.
    • The Susanooh armor is at 20% capacity, due to Hakumen having spent ninety years in the Boundary, sapping him of his strength.
  • Equipment:
    • A no-dachi with a blunt tip called the Nox Nyctores, Interfectum Malus: Ookami. It is, basically, a powerful magical weapon that can create a barrier to deflect small projectiles, cancel out the abilities of magical items in its immediate vicinity (although this will not work on non-seithr powered magic, meaning unless another Blaz Blue character, or anyone using seithr-based magic is in the area, Hakumen cannot use Ookami's Anti-Magic properties), wound immortals or beings with regenerative capabilities, and gives Hakumen a longer attack range than a typical melee fighter.
  • Entry Point: A or B
  • "Why did you pick this character?": I played the character once in We Are Our Avatars, and I thought that I should play the very first character I played in an RP here on TV Tropes. Also, I think his his cold, yet essentially righteous personality and his uncompromising view of justice would make a great contrast to some of the other characters here. It'd be interesting to see how this Ragtag Bunch of Misfits influences him and vice versa.

•Name:Benjamin Kirby Tennyson

•Universe:Ben Ten.

•Appearance: Boom.

•Powers/Skills:Ben posseses the Omnitrix, a [[Black Box bizarre] piece of alien technology strapped to his wrist. The Omnitrix allows him to change shape into a variety of alien forms by altering his genetic code. Each transformation only lasts ten minutes and it takes an additional ten minutes to be able to use the Omnitrix again. T He forms that Ben will be able to use, along with their abilities, are as follows:

  • Four Arms: One of Ben's favorite aliens. Four Arms grants incresed strength and durability, along with having four arms.

  • Stinkfly: Flight. Stinkfly can also fire slime out of his four eyestalks. Said slime can either be a powerful addhesive or acid, depending on what Ben wants to use it for.

  • XLR8: Super-Speed.

  • Wildmutt:Superhuman agility and enhanced senses.

  • Heatblast:The ability to generate and control fire.

  • Upgrade: The ability to meld with technology and manipulate it.Once Upgrade melds with a piece of technology, it's current functions become more efficent and can sometimes be used as attacks. Upgrade can also fire a (weak) beam of energy from his single eye.

  • Cannonbolt: Cannonbolt can tuck himself into a ball and roll at incresing speeds, acting as a sort of living battering ram.

  • Grey Matter: Incresed intelligence, size reduced to around three inches. One of Ben's least favorite aliens.

  • Ripjaws: Incresed mobility in water, the ability to breath underwater, and a powerful bite attack. Ripjaws' effectiveness somewhat decresed on land.

  • Upchuck:Upchuck can eat any inanimate object and fire its approximate mass as balls of energy.

Despite the power of some of his alien forms, Ben will sometimes tranform into a different alien than the one he selected. usually Grey Matter.

•Equipment: The Omnitrix.

•Entry Point: B.

•"Why did you pick this character?":Because Ben Ten was a really good show and Ben seems like an interesting character to play.

@ Marioguy:

They both sound fine. You're in.

@ Grey Star:

Looks good.

@ Icarel:

"Final Judgment: Retribution—Perish Evil" isn't going to be a one-hit kill, but it can definitely be an extremely powerful attack. Also, could you give us a little more information on what his sword actually does? I admittedly know very little about Blaz Blue. Other than that, he looks fine, so he's in once we get that stuff hammered out.

@ Bindlestick:

Okay, that looks fine.

Gotta switch devices, so I'm going to be editing in and out over the next couple of hours. Done.

Name: Iris

Universe: Pokemon Anime, sometime after BW30

Appearance: Here.

Powers/Skills: Iris herself has heightened reflexes, and a bit of a sixth sense: She can sense ghosts, and sometimes uses her instinncts to find her way around. She's usually a bit off, though.

Her pokemon team consists of:

  • Axew*

  • Excadrill, who will not battle unless provoked.*

  • Emolga*

Equipment: Berries, some clothes, a sleepimg bag.

Entry Point: B

"Why did you pick this character?": Iris is my favorite character from the pokemon anime. (Aside from May, but she's been taken for a while.) I also think I can handle her better than Rin, my original choice, Since Rin comes from a predominately No Export for You Series, and so I know more about Pokemon than Pretty Cure.

Name: Oswald The Lucky Rabbit

Universe: Disney Classics, Epic Mickey

Appearance:

Powers/Skills:

  • Body Manipulation - Ability to detach his ears and tail and use as tools
  • Innate sense of comedic timing
  • Superb Leadership skills
  • Good at improvising plans on the fly
  • Decent level of fighting skills
  • Use of Cartoon Physics - Amusing Injuries, immunity of gravity from large heights unless he looks down, etc.

Weaknesses:

  • Paint Thinner extremely lethal; damage from exposure can only be healed with use of Paint
  • Recovery from Amusing Injuries dependent on severity of injuries; less chance of injuries being amusing if constant exposure to same injury type over and over without pause (ends up with Ash Face is hit by a fire attack the first time, but becomes more and more severe and life-threatening with repeated hits)
  • Can still feel pain from Amusing Injuries
  • Amusing Injuries does not apply to cosmic level attacks and/or powerful magic (Holy, Demonic, Heart, etc)

Equipment:

  • Wrench: Trademark tool of choice of gremlins
  • Wallet: Contains photos of his family, including those of all his 420 children and a large amount of E-Tickets
  • Single large photo of Ortensia

Entry Point: B

Why did you pick this character?: Wanted to play as a cartoon character that knows about the cartoon making business as well as play as a character that as so important to visual media as a whole. Plus I had a bit of an Epic Mickey kick when I made my decision months ago.

  • Name: Fawful
  • Universe: Mario Bros.; directly after the end of Bowser's Inside Story
  • Appearance: This.
  • Powers/Skills: Fawful is an extremely intelligent genius, though a bit of a loon. He dabbles in many fields, but specializes in robotics and hypnosis; though the hypnosis's success is never certain. Requires extended eye contact, will not work on those with strong willpower or abnormal neurology. Often uses Magitek in his inventions, though he has no natural magical talents. Can also shoot lightning from an antenna, which is usually hidden. Also, is a fantastic chef. Weaknesses include a lack of physical strength and terrible vision if his glasses are removed or broken. Which would also reveal that one of his eyes contains the dormant remains of the Dark Star.
  • Equipment:
    • Headgear: A large helmet with a glass dome, two retractable jets, and a nozzle attachment on top. Allows flight, can attack with energy blasts, can vacuum and store voices and souls, can expel a healing gas or a knockout gas, can compress to a small size for storage. Has a rudimentary AI allowing it to act on its own.
    • Multi-purpose raygun: Shoots energy blasts, allows surgical extraction of items via teleportation. Can potentially give people elemental powerups, though this feature is unlikely to be used, as it tends to backfire.
    • Spectacles: Allows for advanced vision, amplifies hypnotic abilities.
    • Cape: Can change into a number of different outfits. Originally used for disguise, though it will be useless for that purpose here.
    • Jumpsuit: Worn under cape, allows flight via flapping of the arms - for emergency use, in case the headgear is disabled.
  • Entry Point: A
  • "Why did you pick this character?": Fawful is one of my favorite video game characters, and I have a good handle on his characterization. I think his interactions with the rest of the cast will be thoroughly amusing.
