What would your character do in the above situation?

Arc: Looks like I don't have a choice. I'll play along for now, but this guy's bound to slip up eventually. As soon as I find a hole in his little game, I'll find a way out of this.

Coil: "Oh, the hell with this!" *busts out of the room...and presumably runs head-first into a trap*

R4: "A game? Well, yeah, that sounds awesome, but how are we going to play without pads, consoles, or a TV? Or are we playing in another room? Man, I could sure go for some Tekken right about now."

Your character stumbles upon his/her favorite childhood toy.

Mella cries and hugs it to her chest.

Your character is told to come up with a distress code by their friends in the event of kidnapping. What's the code and does it ever get used?

Zak would get a big grin, toy around with it like the good old times. Of course, the moment someone walks into his room, he stuffs it back under his bed.

Zak would just use the first thing that popped in his head. Which would be something mundane like "Doorknob". And in his line of work, he probably would end up using it.

Your character is told to draw a picture of themselves. Do they do well? Horrible? Do they even care?

Peter would make a silly doodle, that's as far as his artistic ability goes.

Eveleen would try her best, but she doesn't draw so it'd be a messy sketch.

Stormy has done numerous self-portraits in the past. This one, however, would be somewhat colored by her new found self loathing.

Your character finds a genie's lamp. What are their three wishes?

Seth: To end conflict and bring back everyone who died from it. Can't decide on third one

Miyako Seiji: Having Seth^ not be such a stick in the mud, seeing Seth happier with his life and living out her wildest eroge fantasies. Not in that order

Amandine:Become loved, which actually happens in canon, be less shy, and help Seth get over killing Miyako

Mella nopes out of there. this cannot be good. once at a safe distance, the next county or state over...or maybe another world, she waits to hear news.

your character ends up with the incurable cough of not death. nothing deadly. just a hacking cough that lasts forever and won't go away.

Eveleen would get new lungs. Healthcare is crazy good where she's from.

Peter would start smoking again. Figuring if he's going to cough he may as well have a reason.

Your character is contacted by someone claiming to be their long lost child.

Wernard would demand proof, as any child of his would have the same sort of power he has (in his world, certain families—including his—have the same ... well, similar and potentially the same, power that is hereditary). If it so happens that the one claiming that has that sort of power (and thus proof) but isn't actually his child, no harm done, more power to his family that way.

Lukretia would discard the claim because it simply isn't possible for it to be true, and then she'd tell that to the claimant.

Dhar would reply with something along the lines of "even if you were, does that change anything?", as he doesn't exactly live a life that would allow him to keep a kid nearby. He might or might not try to help the claimant, depending on the circumstances, but nothing more than that.

Your character gets access to some power that makes them more powerful than any other person in the world, but the power starts melting down and it cannot be stopped, only slowed down somewhat, and the result of the meltdown is unknown but probably bad.

Cayden would decline this power, since he already has access to impressive abilities.

Alec would use the power with reckless abandon, reasoning that he would die eventually regardless of if he used it or not.

Your character's best friend knocks on their door at midnight; upon opening the door, your character discovers that their friend is missing one arm. How do they react?

If anyone in the world fit Tristane's idea of a "friend" beyond family (which Tristane has an odder definition of), Tristane would go out of their way to help their friend and then take revenge on the person who hurt them, no matter how big the challenge.

However, since Tristane is his only friend and closest family member, Vexen would basically only go out of his way for them and it could probably involve outright coldblooded murder.

Your character is given three wishes from a genie with no strings attached except for no wishes that harm someone in anyway or to have more wishes, but unless carefully worded the wish will be taken very literally. How does this go?

Peter wishes for the obvious. Upon realizing that his body doesn't have the requisite amount of blood for such a member he wishes for a smaller one, then has to wish he never made any of his previous wishes thus leaving him back at square one.

Your character finds out that one of their parents is cheating on the other.

If Calia's mom is the one cheating, she'd lost what little trust there was left with her mother for hurting her father's feelings. If Calia's dad was the one cheating... she'd be rather disappointed in him but understand why, since her mother isn't a very nice person.

Amber would hate her father if he cheated on his loving wife. She'd be very disillusioned if her mom cheated on him as she's a very loving parent.

The main problem is that both Calia and Amber's mother are ethereal Eldritch Abominations that have lots of children.

Your character's best friend/love migrates to another country/planet (or a place where your character can't contact them easily anymore).

Jamie would be crushed to see Nathan leave, but he wouldn't have the heart to tell him this.

Shaw would probably try to sneak on board the ship if she couldn't go with Ian.

Peter would start stalking someone else.

Your character is severely crippled. In what way and how do they cope with this?

In Occupied Space? They cope with some brand new components.

Same since that was a shitty answer.

Zak's patrol would be heavily compromised. He'd pretty much just fume silently, a bit petulantly, all day long at his inability to run about.

Under no specified circumstances, the next character has been suddenly brought to the time of the Salem Witch/Wizard trials, and they are accused of you-know-what.

Harold would panic and try to think of a way out. He would be terribly sad that he'll never see his friends or family again. And he'd be very confused since that world is nothing like the Science Fantasy world he is from.

Dearg would purposefully fuck with the locals, which wouldn't really help his case of not being a witch. He'd be pretty screwed anyway, being a troll with green skin and pointed ears.

Griswold actually knows magic and so would pull a "you want a witch, you got one!" He would promptly leave the town and then try to figure out a way back home. If such a way existed, he'd have an awesome story and chronicle it in his human study journals. If no such way existed, he would put on a glamor and live out the rest of his days far away from Salem. Being an elf, the rest of his days are quite a long time and he'd probably reveal himself to a select few over the centuries.

Peter would struggle with the issue for some time, break down crying at the potential loss of Ben, then reluctantly put him out of his misery because that's what good friends do for each other.

Morton wouldn't do anything, he's the one who bit Nancy in the first place.

Your character is forced to attend a blind date setup by their friends, where they find out their date is absolutely terrible in every way imaginable.

if the guy tries to /touch/ her or something, she stabs him. in the hand. with her magical necklace dagger. and then leaves. possibly to another world.

Mella is really excited, because she was told quite emphatically that dragons are not real. she tries to determine if it's a Tolkien type dragon or a Wrede type dragon, and is just sort of hyperactively chittering with excitement.

your character is a hostage at a bank robbery.

If you're a fanfiction writer, are you allowed to use the characters of your fandom? For now, I'll just use my default original characters.

Felix would fight back, probably with lots of very big guns and flips and shit.

Ashley would fight back with black-belt level karate. Probably including a groin attack for the ringleader.

Arthur would use his silver tongue to convince the criminals to turn on the ringleader and each other.

This is a World of Badass, you see.

The character obtains a very large key. He eventually discovers that the key belonged to a society of assassins, and they want it back.

Vanessa would probably use the keyblade to protect the innocent and do battle with these assassins.

Peter would let the power go to his head and the keyblade would promptly abandon him.

Irvine would give the key back, he doesn't see the point in causing a scene.

Your character has to save the world from an alien invasion in 30 minutes while in their pajamas. How do they pull it off?

Welcome to Cara's day job. She grabs her basilisk laser and starts running to the nearest vantage point. She'd establish communication with any Stratolathe in the area to begin laying down summoning cylinders and Shwartzfeld emitters, as well as take down Transnet communication and set up a full media blackout. She'll then use satellite data to find positions for dropping in troops. At some point she would alert HQ of an imminent invasion of the world she is stationed on by unknown entities, so even if the counter-offensive on the ground doesn't work they can still rip open the hostile fleet and glass the planet if needed. This being Occupied Space, there will be no easy solution and there will be massive casualties, but it's still a winnable situation and if they're lucky it won't be too big of a deal to cover up. They don't need a repeat of Sector 13.

Your character is trapped in a mind-numbingly boring board meeting and they are needed elsewhere to kill something big and scary, but they would get in serious trouble for running out of the meeting. What do?
