Hottips are broken by extra lines. You have to do it per paragraph.
As per the (Anti) Heroic BSoD, it's believable. Turning evil? Eh, if the plot works...

Most circumstances in fiction where a character turns evil make no sense whatsoever. If you're looking for character accuracy, basically assume that you don't need to justify a character not turning evil, but you'd better justify it if they do.
If I'm asking for advice on a story idea, don't tell me it can't be done.
