Wasn't me this time...
Gun Kitty is a Space Western Furry Webcomic created by Danika "GirlyWolfPup" Haddonfield. It stars a Cat Space Pirate named Ruana Nukowentz, as well as her partners Ace Lang and Yumi Bloom. Together, this band of misfits go on various adventures and heists across space.

The comic is viewable on Tumblr (currently ongoing as of September 2022) here, and a short animation called "Wanted" is also available on GirlyWolfPup's Newgrounds here as well as on their YouTube channel here.

In May of 2021, another animated short was created called "Gun Kitty Shorts" and released on newgrounds and YouTube

Follow the intergalatic tropes here:

    A - C
  • Ancient Evil: In Episode 12, there is a shrine revealed on Yumi's Home Planet for Ceangel. It's said that he defeated the Bringer of Darkness centuries before the events of the story.
  • Action Girl: Ruana is a perfect fit for this trope.
  • Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Let's see: a gold cat, a pink raccoon and a blue lion.
  • Animesque: Read the comic and it won't take long to see.
  • Artificial Limbs: Yumi has a prosthetic right hand.
  • Author Appeal: If you're already familiar with GirlyWolfPup's content, it won't be surprising that anthropomorphic animals, curvy women and crop tops are proudly present in the main cast.
  • Bad Guy Bar: Ebony and Ivory is a nightclub variant— "a regular hotspot for crime lords to fuck around in"
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: Cyrus does this, and his tattooed arm, fanged evil smile, and supernatural eyes have led fans to believe he is more sinister then he appears.
  • Batman Can Breathe in Space: This could apply to every character, but Ruana makes it obivious with the fact she wears a full space suit of power armor minus the helmet.
  • Berserk Button: stated out right by Ace himself in Episode 5
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Ace and Yumi have this in Episode 6.
  • Blood from the Mouth: Literally in the first page of the first episode, Ruana can be seen doing this.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall:
    • in the Wanted short Ace says "Destruction of property, theft, probably something I can't say without getting this shit demonetized, should I go on" referencing YouTube directly. In Gun Kitty Shorts, Soseki looks at the camera while asking the audience a question.
    • "That's cause the steam censors our female presenting nipples"
  • Beach Episode: Episode 7
  • Big Beautiful Woman: Downplayed with Yumi. Originally starting out rather skinny in the comic, notably starting episode 17 portrays her as looking a lot chubbier, yet no less attractive than previously.
  • Censor Steam: Lampshaded in chapter seven.
  • Cheery Pink: Yumi's color scheme.
  • Comic Trio: Ruana's the impulsive leader, Yumi's the cheerful follower, and Ace is the powerless voice of reason.
  • Cool Ship: The main trio travel the galaxy in one.

    D - M
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In Episode 5, Ace disarms Captain Dread with his beam katana for making Ruana cry.
  • Everything Trying to Kill You: Seems that no matter where the trio go, something is out to get them.
  • Family of Choice: the comic shows this through the way the trio has developed a familiar bond with each other, possibly also an example of Criminal Found Family given the fact that the trio form a group of space pirates who regularly commit many crimes.
  • Family Extermination: Captain Dread, in Episode 5, reveals that he killed Ruana's family.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Shazza's pants have a long pant leg on one side while the other side is short with a long stocking visible.
  • Good Colors, Evil Colors: The protagonists are brightly colored (blue, yellow, and pink) while antagonists are darker colors.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: The comic's logo as well as the "to be continued" at the end of each episode.
  • Hartman Hips: Ruana, Yumi Bloom, Lucy Gravedigger, Shazza Stardust, and pretty much most female characters could fit into this trope.
  • The Heart: Yumi fits this role with ease. She's the social glue of the group, a ray of sunshine that is able to keep Ace and Ruana on good terms. Her role is minimal in the group, being more so there to encourage the group rather than exploring her own story.
  • Immune to Bullets: Ambrus takes a shot from Ruana's gun before reeling back to reveal that he's still alive.
  • Informed Attractiveness: Characters, including side characters, will often compliment the other. Whether it be Ruana telling Yumi that she has nice tits or a characterscatcalling other women, it's something that happens frequently in Gun Kitty.
  • In Medias Res: The webcomic's first episode starts out this way.
  • Long-Lost Relative: Spade reveals, to Ace, that the two of them are brothers in Episode 14.
  • MacGuffin: the 9andora Box fills this role. It's implied to be of great importance.
  • Manic Pixie Dream Girl: Some might consider Yumi this considering she's a cheerful and up beat girl paired with Ace who has a more subdued and reserved personality.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Ruana (has lots of sex) and most of the other female characters wear revealing clothing and have curvy figures.
  • My Parents Are Dead: Ruana mentions to Ace that Captain Dread killed her parents in Episode 11.

    N - T
  • Neck Lift: Ambrus lifts Ruana in the air by her neck.
  • Not Quite Dead: Memphis is cut pretty badly by Ace in Episode 13, but is shown to have lived the brutal injury in Episode 15
  • Papa Wolf: Cyrus is this both figuratively and literally as he is a loving father towards Rose while also being a werewolf.
  • Place Beyond Time: Ace has dreams where he encounters Ceangel and other members of the Omega Bloodline. In Episode 12, it's revealed that Ceangel is from centuries before the events of Gun Kitty.
  • Queer Establishing Moment: In Episode 12, Spade is revealed to be openly homosexual with his lover, Jack.
  • Really Gets Around: Ruana is sexually active and has it mentioned frequently throughout the series.
  • Rule of Three: Three main protagonists.
  • Sex Comedy: As seen in many pages, this type of comedy is the norm for the comic. Especially out of Ruana who's no stranger to making sexual references for comedic effect in her dialogue.
  • Ship Tease: Episode 4 of the comic is just this with Ace x Yumi, though Episode 3 has light elements of this as well. Episode 5 also contained brief moments of teasing a relationship between the two.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: With how frequently Ruana shows skin and actively has sex, it's no surprise that she'd find her way into this role.
  • Shout-Out: Ace's sword resembles that of Travis Touchdown's Beam Katana. Ruana does the Akira bike slide in Episode 2: Page 24.
  • Smooch of Victory: Yumi frequently kisses Ace after a victory.
  • Superpowerful Genetics: The Omega Powers are distinctly linked to Ace's bloodline.
  • The Pornomancer: Ruana has the distinct ability of meeting people and then having sex with them.
  • The Power of Rock: Episode 6's main combat.
  • Two Girls and a Guy: Ruana, Ace, and Yumi.
  • The Hero: Ace fits this role as the hero by getting The Heart, wielding a sword-like weapon in a sci-fi setting, mainly wears blue, has electric based abilities, have won every fight they've been in, and most of the antagonists are out to get him.
  • The Lancer: Ruana fits this role with her personality being a foil for Ace and uses a firearm compared to Ace's sword.
  • The Rival: Ace's Brother Spade is yet another foil for Ace. He seems to be always one step ahead of Ace.
  • The Cameo: Gun Kitty is full cameos, there is a list below of all known cameos.

    U - Z
  • Unique Protagonist Asset: Ace has the Omega Powers, a unique ability for him compared to the normal trio.
  • Villain Decay: Captain Dread is a frequent villain who, despite trying to be menacing, ends up getting defeated effortlessly time and time again.
  • Vulgar Humor: If you're aware of any of GirlyWolfPup's work, you'll know that her favorite kind of jokes tend to be sex jokes.
  • Western Zodiac: There's a place called the Cave of Aquarius in the series, along with Planet Virgo.
  • What Could Possibly Go Wrong?: Yumi says this at the end of the animated short.
  • You Killed My Father: In Episode 5, Captain Dread tells Ruana that he killed her parents.

GirlyWolfPup puts plenty of cameos in her work. Here is a list of every cameo found thus far:
