Shylily is a German 'Orcat' (a cross between an orca and a cat, based on the Akhlut, an Inuit folklore creature) VTuber based in the Nederlands. She is one of the most well-known and largest Indie VTubers in history for her... shall we say 18+ content?
She was a girl who was playing on a freshly frozen river. At one point, the ice gave way, and she fell into the river. As the girl was drowning, an orca spirit came up to her and rescued her, turning her into an Orcat/mermaid hybrid, and she now rescues drowning people.
While she started off as independent, she is now a member of the company Mythic Talent.

- Absurdly Elderly Mother: Shylily counts, being 5001 years old and having Orcat pups as her offspring.
- Animalistic Abomination: Shyanna, the last of the old gods, in Shylily's revamped lore. She takes the form of an orca.
- Berserk Button: There are a few ways to piss her off.
- The first is teasing her about her short stature, which annoys her to no end.
- The second, more serious one is trying to scoop out her identity during conventions. She had a bad experience with a stalker, so her reminding her chat not to do this makes sense.
- The third is engaging in online harassment of any other person, streamer, or whatever. Given how she was also harassed by the same stalker, seeing someone dear to her being put in the same dark place is one of the few times she drops her joyful persona and becomes more serious.
- Breakout Character: Of the indie VTubers. Shylily is one of the most prominent VTubers (whether corporate or indie) currently active, with 1.3 million subscribers on Twitch and 700k subscribers on YouTube. This is quite the achievement, especially when noting that compared with corporate VTubers like Ironmouse, Mori Calliope and Gawr Gura, Shylily has none of the resources like promotional materials that corporations give to their VTubers. The only other Indie VTubers that can rival her is Shoto, Filian and AmaLee. To many, Shylily is often the introductory character to the wild wild west of Indie VTubers.
- Came Back Strong: In her revamped lore, Lily drowns after being caught in a cold wave, but Shyanna finds her and fuses with her.
- Casual Kink: Shylily is very open about her kinks, often giving the impression that she is also incredibly kinky. While she does have some very weird kinks, which can stun into silence the likes of Projekt Melody (keep in mind that Melody owes her existence to internet pornography and also has a career in adult entertainment), she clarifies that she is actually vanilla (more or less) and that openness does not necessarily equal kinkiness.

- Flexibility Equals Sex Ability: Shylily mentions that she is quite flexible, and given her lewdish nature...
- Freudian Slip: Shylily has one when she threatens to eat chat, but she accidentally says "and eat every last dick of you" when she meant to say "bit". She realizes this and gibbers in embarrassment, even begging chat not to clip it.

- Gratuitous German: Normally defied. Shylily is a German living in the Netherlands, but she avoids speaking German as much as possible as she does not want her chat to turn into a German one. However, she may occasionally speak the language when necessary.
- Hartman Hips: An admitted example. Shylily states that she has "child-bearing hips".
- The Heart: She has the desire to help and rescue lost people.
- Height Angst: Shylily is really, really small. At around 148 centimeters or 4 feet 10 inches tall, she barely qualifies as a dwarf. This annoys her to no end, especially since she is shorter than other typically 'short' VTubers like Kobo. In addition, Shylily is about 7-10 centimeters shorter than Numi, who is not tall by any means, as shown here, and she once got stuck in an automatic revolving door because of her height.
- Height Insult: About the only thing that could break her Teflon reputation is poking fun at her short height. It doesn't take much to rile her up in this regard.
- Hiding from Embarrassment: Shylily once received a TTS saying: "Lily, come! No not like that, come here!" The moment she moans, the TTS, as if on cue, says the second part, and she, realizing that she misinterpreted it completely, slumps out of view while gibbering in embarrassment.
- Hybrid Monster: She is an orca mixed with a cat called an Orcat, based on another hybrid monster called an Akhlut.

Shylily, unlike some VTubers who may be vulnerable to insults or harassment, is not one to be messed with. That said, the only insult that will consistently piss her off is her height.

- Lovable Sex Maniac: As expected of the Bottom Queens. Shylily stands out for being one of the most NSFW VTubers out there; around 80% of her content consists of her making perverted jokes, and even some of her equally lewd colleagues like Bao, Numi, and even Projekt Melody find her remarks to be too much. That said, Shylily has clarified that while she is very open about her perversions, she is actually rather vanilla, some weird kinks notwithstanding.

- Slut-Shaming: She was subjected to this in her high-school days by her math teacher (who was also the principal), who called her a whore in front of the entire class for getting a boyfriend and getting a C- on her math test because of it.
- The Tape Knew You Would Say That: At one of her streams, a donator gave a text-to-speak message telling her to "come" and then clarified that he meant "come here", as if he were expecting Shylily to... mistake the intended meaning. Shylily did exactly that, and when she was told to "come here," she slumped out of view out of embarrassment.
- Team Mom: Despite her reputation, she acts as this to both her chat and some VTubers in the rare times she talks about serious topics.
- Touched by Vorlons: In her revamped lore, Shylily was just an ordinary Genki Girl who was eventually revived when Shyanna saw her drowning. She eventually became an orcat-girl hybrid.

- According to her original lore, Shylily was a little girl playing on a freshly frozen river when the ice gave way. As the girl drowned, an orca spirit swam up and fused with her, turning her into an Orcat mermaid hybrid.
- In her revamped lore, she was an ordinary Genki Girl in Rudolf Island who was caught in a tsunami made as a consequence of an illegal project from a research ship. As she passes out due to the cold and drowns, the orca Animalistic Abomination, Shyanna, finds her unconscious body and fuses with her, bringing her back to life.
- What the Hell Is That Accent?: Shylily is German but points out that not every German has the typical Arnold Schwarzenegger accent, with her own accent being High German. This has led some of her fans (or Trolls) to tease her for being a "fake German", which understandably annoys her to no end.
- Yandere: She occasionally acts like this, in which case her irises shrink and turn magenta, a shadow is cast over her eyes, and all her teeth become fangs.
