There are a lot of Shout Outs in Find the Chomiks. Most of them come from certain chomiks being based on things from other works, but some references occur elsewhere, like in badge descriptions.

  • Geicho resembles the gecko from the GEICO commercials.
  • Kool Aid Chomik is based on the Kool Aid Man from the Kool-Aid commercials, and is seen bursting through a wall just like him.

  • Jigsaw Chomik is based on Billy the Puppet from the Saw franchise.
  • Towards the top of the building in Revamp Realm's Marble zone, a t-posing Woody can be found.
  • CHOMIK9000 is based on HAL 9000, the main antagonist of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
  • Tronmik is inspired by the neon visuals of TRON.
  • Pennywise Chomik is based on Pennywise the Dancing Clown from It, with its design closely resembling the version of Pennywise from the 2017 film and its sequel.
  • Despicable Chomik is a reference to Despicable Me: there is a larger chomik based on Gru, and a smaller chomik based on a Minion.
  • Choompa Loompa is based on the Oompa Loompas from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
  • King Jumik consists of two chomiks resembling King Julien and Mort from the Madagascar film series.
  • Kung-Fumik resembles Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda.
  • Remik from Chomatouillie is based on Remy from Ratatouille.
  • Upmik is based on the movie Up, being attached to balloons and the description saying "the rest of the movie doesn't really match the first part".
  • NO CHOMIKS? resembles the titular character from Megamind, and references the "NO BITCHES?" meme the movie spawned.
  • Thanos Snapped Chomik is a reference to the scene in Avengers: Infinity War where Thanos gets all of the Infinity Stones and snaps his fingers with the Infinity Gauntlet, causing half of all life to disintegrate.
  • Sporky is based on Forky from Toy Story 4.
  • Chomik Detection Agency wears an outfit that resembles the typical attire of a Child Detection Agency (CDA) member in Monsters, Inc..

  • The "HAHA" difficulty is represented by a black and white "traumatized" edit of Seong Gi-hun's ID photo from Squid Game.

    Music 
  • Mozart Chomik is based on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and to find him you need to do a piano puzzle, which ties into Mozart's preferred instrument.
  • LESSS GOOOO is based on DaBaby, and its name references a memetic phrase associated with him.
  • Shark Chomik's description reads "baby shark", referencing the song of the same name.
  • The description for Blue Matter Chomik is "yo listen up here's a story", a line from "Blue" by Eiffel 65.
  • Surreal Chomik, Sunset Chomik, Vaporwave Chomik, and the area they are in are all references to the Vaporwave music genre.
  • Pictured as Chomik is based on the song "Pictured as Perfect" by Frums.
  • Cho Burnham is based on the singer-songwriter and actor Bo Burnham.
  • Monstermik's descrption says "Monster how should i feel", a lyric from "Monster" by Meg & Dia.
  • The descriptions of Looping Chomik and Dimensional Expansion Chomik contain lyrics from "Wesley's Theory" by Kendrick Lamar.
  • A removed chomik, Chomik at The End of Time, was based on Everywhere at the End of Time by The Caretaker.
    • There is still a reference to EATEOT in the game: Nihil's description reads "This chomik is without description.", referencing the description for stage 6 of the album, which is the same except for "Post-Awareness Stage 6" being in place of "This chomik".

  • Chonnect 4 resembles the Connect 4 board game.
  • Reversemik is based on the Uno reverse card.

  • Chomiibo is a chomik as an Amiibo, a virtual toy created by Nintendo.
  • Legomik is a chomik represented as a LEGO minifigure.
  • Chomko Pop is essentially a chomik, but in Funko Pop! form.
  • Chiamik is based on the Chia Pet toy.

    Video Games 
  • Among Us:
    • Suspicious Chomik resembles a crewmate from Among Us.
    • Chamogus is based on "Amogus", a meme related to the game.
  • There is a sub-area based on Portal, featuring a Companion Cube, portal mechanics, and an area with turrets. A few chomiks there also reference Portal, including Portal Chomik, Turrik, and Portal Room Chomik.
  • Missing Texture Chomik has the black and pink checkered texture that appears when a texture is missing in Garry's Mod.
  • Funky Chomik references Friday Night Funkin', being stylized like a character in the game and rap battling you with similar mechanics to it.
  • Ao Oni:
    • Ao Onik resembles Ao Oni, the titular character from the 2007 video game Ao Oni.
    • The Ao realm is essentially a Roblox version of Ao Oni. Ao Oni itself appears to chase you in the maze, and the music that plays when he chases you can be heard, as well.
    • Fuwattik resembles Fuwatti from the same game.
  • Chom Dedede, Chomarx and Bandana Chomidee are references to King Dedede, Marx and Bandana Waddle Dee from Kirby.
  • Hollow Chomik is based on the Knight from Hollow Knight.
  • Plants vs. Zombies:
    • Pea Shooter Chomik, Hypno Chomik and Brainz Chomik are all references to the 2009 video game, Plants Vs. Zombies. They are based on the Pea Shooter, Hypno Shroom, and a Zombie, respectively.
    • Holographik is based on Infi-nut from Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time.
  • The Binding of Chomik is based on the main character of The Binding of Isaac, Dogma Chomik is based on the boss Dogma in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, and Brimstone Chomik is based on the Brimstone item from the game.
  • Chombox 360 is based on the Xbox 360.
  • Geometry Dash:
    • Deimos Chomik is most likely based on a Geometry Dash level called Deimos, especially since the description reads "GD reference idk".
    • Bloodlust Chomik is based on the popular Extreme Demon level "Bloodlust".
    • Apocalyptic Chomik references the Apocalyptic Trilogy of levels in Geometry Dash, with it resembling one of the levels.
    • Extreme Chomik is based on the icon for Extreme Demon levels.
    • There is a Geometry Dash poster in the Cyber Zone. You can find Ship Rider Chomik on it, who is a cube from GD riding on a ship, but with a texture of a chomik.
    • While it doesn't come from GD itself, it's still a reference to it: the tarsorado demon difficulty is a reference to a fake demon difficulty set, where "Tarsorado" is one of the variants.
  • Chomtendo Switch is based on a Nintendo Switch.
  • Gordon Freemik resembles Gordon Freeman, the main protagonist of the Half-Life series.
  • Pumpkin Jackmik and Cable-chow are based on two antagonists from Zardy's Maze, Pumpkin Jack and Cable Crow.
  • Dad N' Mik resembles the main protagonist from the 2005 flash game Dad 'n Me.
  • Awakened Bahamik is a reference to Awakened Bahamut from The Battle Cats.
  • Ink Demon Chomik resembles the main antagonist from the 2017 video game Bendy and the Ink Machine, Ink Demon.
  • Flappy Chomik is based on Flappy Bird, and even has you complete a minigame with the gameplay of Flappy Bird to get it.
  • Chog Rider Chomik is based on the Hog Rider from Clash of Clans.
  • Minecraft:
    • Crafter Chomik wears gear from Minecraft, and the way to obtain it references the game as well: you find flint and steel and use it on a Nether portal, which is how you access the Nether in the game.
    • Chomcraft is a Chomik in Minecraft pixel art form.
    • Chomikbrine is based on Herobrine, an urban legend surrounding creator Notch's supposedly dead brother manifesting in the form of an eyeless Steve.
    • Enchanting Table Chomik is based on the Enchanting Table from the game.
  • Deltarune:
    • Snowgraved Chomik is based on the "Snowgrave" move from Deltarune, specifically the scene where Noelle freezes Berdly with it in the Snowgrave/Weird Route.
    • Mikemik is based on a popular fan design of Mike, a character alluded to a few times in Chapter 2.
    • BIG SHOT Chomik is based on Spamton and is named after his commonly used phrase, "[[BIG SHOT]]".
  • Sonic the Hedgehog:
    • Both Chonic and Sonik are based on the eponymous character of Sonic the Hedgehog, with two differences: Chonic is Sonic edited to resemble a chomik, while Sonik is a chomik edited to resemble Sonic.
    • There is a statue of Dr. Eggman in the Graveyard.
    • Majin Chomik references the infamous "Fun is Infinite" Easter Egg from Sonic CD. The way to obtain it also references the game, too: after clicking all Normalny Chomiks at spawn in a certain order and saying a code, you'll be taken to Sonic CD's Sound Test. Inputting the code that led to the Easter egg in the original game will take you to the chomik.
  • Pokémon:
    • Mewik and Chomewtoo resemble Mew & Mewtwo from, two legendary species of Pokémon.
    • Chomtoise resembles Blastoise, a Pokémon species from Generation I.
  • Miktroid resembles the eponymous alien species from Metroid.
  • The Legend of Zelda:
  • Unbread Chomik is based on one of the Unbread Twins from OMORI.
  • Cheerik and Laugh Emote Chomik are references to two popular emotes from the mobile video game, Clash Royale.
  • King Slimik is based on King Slime from Terraria.
  • Vaultmik resembles Vault Boy from Fallout.
  • Goat Chomik's description references Goat Simulator.
  • Duck Hunt Chomik contains two chomiks as the duck and dog from Duck Hunt.
  • Team Fortress 2:
    • A few chomiks are based on Team Fortress 2 classes, which are Medik (Medic), Engineer Chomik (Engineer), Spymik (Spy), Heavy Weapons Chomik (Heavy), and The Snipik (Sniper).
    • Sentrik resembles a sentry from TF2.
  • Cursorik's badge description, "if only there was a cookie around", references Cookie Clicker, since in that game you constantly click a cookie with your cursor.
  • Amalgamik could be based on the Amalgamates from Undertale.
  • Stickerbush Chomik is based on the bramble levels from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and the music that played in them, "Stickerbush Symphony". More specifically, it is based on taia777's extended YouTube video of the song, which featured the background present in the chomik.
  • NotHcom is a reference to the online puzzle game NotPron.
  • A Dance of Cho and Mik is based on the rhythm game A Dance of Fire and Ice.
  • Super Mario Bros.:
    • King Boo Chomik is based on King Boo from Luigi's Mansion and other games in the Mario series.
    • Wiggler Chomik resembles Wiggler, an enemy from Super Mario Bros.
    • Watering Chomik resembles the Steam Gardeners from Super Mario Odyssey.
    • At the end of Flappy Chomik's minigame, Mario himself, using his design from the first Super Mario Bros. game, appears as an obstacle. Mario appears again with a more modern design at the end of the "Guess the Chomik" quiz required for Realmik.
    • Obtaining one of the Earths for Earthmik will play a Luma's voice from Super Mario Galaxy.
    • The Super Mario 64 credits music will play in the fake credits before being transported to the ... realm. Note that this is one of the only copyrighted tracks to remain in the game before they got replaced with original music.
  • Banjo and Chomik resembles the titular characters from the 1998 video game, Banjo-Kazooie.
  • Ben Chomik resembles the eponymous character from Talking Ben, a game in Outfit7's Talking Tom and Friends franchise.
  • The Stanley Parable:
    • The vent leading to the Kotek Realm references the start of the Skip Button ending of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, where the narrator leads you into a vent.
    • One realm in the Backrooms is the office from The Stanley Parable, and even plays the music from the game. If you jump out a window like in the original game, you won't get an ending, but you'll instead find Outer Reality Chomik.
  • Tetrik is based on Tetris.
  • I Wanna Be the Chomik is based on I Wanna Be the Guy, and to get it legitimately, you have to complete a fan level of IWBTG. The code for this chomik, "forbiddenfruit", might be a reference to the game's Delicious Fruit.
  • Plushtrap Chomik is named after Plushtrap from Five Nights at Freddy's, but its concept is closer to the Pokémon Mimikyu, since it and the chomik are both spirits inhabiting old dolls.
  • Chomando is based on the web game Fancy Island hosted on Lomando.com. The process for unlocking the chomik even includes a mock version of the game.
  • Firechom and Watermik is based on the eponymous duo from Fireboy and Watergirl.
  • Clicking on the Normalny Chomiks at spawn will play Madotsuki's "Dame muri!" sound from Yume Nikki.
  • The video game urban legend Polybius appears in the Casino (along with a miniature version in Revamp Realm's Marble area), and you can get Polybimik if you play it.
    • The letters of the Polybius machine in the main part of the Casino (not the hidden one for Polybimik) are edited to spell "Pou", a reference to the Virtual Pet mobile game of the same name, complete with the eponymous Pou appearing next to the letters.

    Web Original 
  • There are a lot of chomiks that reference Internet memes, such as several chomiks based on the Trollface, Nyan Chomik (Nyan Cat), Pepemik (Pepe the Frog), and many more.
  • There are three chomiks based on Dream and associated people: Dreamik is based on the man himself, ChomikNotFound is based on GeorgeNotFound, who often collaborates with Dream, and Dream Stan Chomik is based on an infamous subset of Dream's fans.
  • Chomik Tech Tips references the YouTuber Linus Tech Tips.
  • ARG Chomik has the symbol of Cicada 3301, an unsolved Alternate Reality Game.
  • Cookiezik is based on Cookiezi, a famous osu! player.
  • Takis Chomik not only references the Takis snack, but also a web ad where streamer Tyler Blevins AKA Ninja advertises Takis.
  • ChomCoin, a virtual currency chomik, highly resembles Dogecoin.
  • Chomik is Fine references the memetic "This is fine" comic from Gunshow.
  • A few chomiks are based on computer viruses, such as Wannacry Chomik (WannaCry), MyDoomik (Mydoom), and IHEARTCHOMIK (ILOVEYOU).
  • You Are a Chomik references the "You are an idiot" website, which would be part of the virus series above except the virus was removed in 2013.
  • Duck Song Chomik is based on the popular YouTube video, "The Duck Song".
  • Building Chomik's in-game description references the "Don't be racist, I am a building" video.
  • Wumpus Chomik is based on Wumpus, the mascot of Discord.
  • Madness Combat:
    • ExpurChomik resembles Tricky from Madness Combat, specifically his Expurgation form from The Tricky Mod.
    • Madness Chombat resembles a standard grunt from Madness Combat.
  • Chononymous resembles the default YouTube profile picture.
  • Chomnipedia is designed after the Wikipedia logo.
  • Scary Maze Chomik is based on the Scary Maze Game Screamer Prank; you can actually do the mazes after you get the chomik, with 2 new levels after level 3, but a chomik named billy will pop up instead of Reagan MacNeil as the screamer.
  • I used to rule the Chomiks resembles the king from Fallen Kingdom, a Minecraft song parody of Coldplay's "Viva la Vida".
  • Chomco Maps is based on Google Maps.
  • WhatsUp Chomik is based on the social media app WhatsApp.
  • Dancing Chomdog is a reference to the Dancing Hotdog filter in Snapchat.
  • Loss Chomik is the infamous "Loss" comic from Ctrl+Alt+Del, but with Chomiks in place of the original characters.
  • The name of the website you visit to obtain Chonk, chomspace, is a pun on MySpace.
  • Thanks to the collab with Find The Markers, there is a chomik based on Marker from Battle for Dream Island, and a Marker based on a chomik.
  • Windows XP Chomik is based on the XP version of Microsoft Windows.
  • Catzo Chomik is based on Catzo, a YouTuber who plays Find the Chomiks.
  • The Backrooms is a realm in the game, with the sub-realms being based on different Backrooms levels and many chomiks there referencing Backrooms entities or other aspects such as the wallpaper in Level 0.
  • Advanced Expressions Chomik is based on the new emotions from the video "BLUE_CHANNEL: THALASIN" by Gooseworx.
  • Annoying Chomik is based on The Annoying Orange.
  • The Sky Had a Chomik is based on the popular YouTube Poop video, "The Sky Had a Weegee!".
  • Zombo.chom is a reference to the website Zombo.com.
  • Chomdriver Torso is based on Webdriver Torso, a YouTube account made by Google for testing.
  • Meat Canyon Chomik is based on the distinctive artstyle of the YouTube animator MeatCanyon.

    Western Animation 
  • Pickle Chomik is based on Pickle Rick from Rick and Morty.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants:
    • Artist Chomik's description quotes the "Bold and Brash" scene from the SpongeBob episode "Artist Unknown". Later, a chomik based on Bold and Brash, Chom and Brash, was released.
    • Hash Slinger Chomik is based on the Hash Slinging Slasher from the episode "Graveyard Shift".
    • Paper Chomik has Doodlebob on it.
    • Sad Chombob is based on a sad-looking SpongeBob from the episode "Christmas Who?", which was a popular meme at the time.
    • Chamsome is based on Squidward's handsome form from "The Two Faces of Squidward".
    • Marble Chomik features Squidward next to him, as depicted in "Artist Unknown".
    • Bikini Bottom is featured as a sub-area of Desolate Island. One chomik there, Clueless Chomik, is based off a scene with Patrick in "My Pretty Seahorse".
  • Big Chomgus is based on the fat Bugs Bunny, memetically known as Big Chungus, from the Merrie Melodies cartoon "Wabbit Twouble".
  • Peter Griffik resembles Peter Griffin from Family Guy. The actual Peter Griffin stands in front of the chomik's room and tells you how to get it.
  • Steamed Chomiks resembles Seymour Skinner from The Simpsons; the named is a reference to the memetic "Steamed Hams" segment from "22 Short Films About Springfield".
  • Judging by the in-game description of Flamemaster Chomik reading "the fire nation", the chomik is a reference to Firebenders from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
  • Shaggy Chomik is based on Shaggy from Scooby-Doo.
