It's another day where Jiang Cheng is faced with the prospect of marriage, and another day where he completely struggles with it.
- All Just a Dream: Jiang Cheng's wife seems to finally find her way to him, but Wei Wuxian casually comments later that it's easy to get everything you want in a dream. Sure enough, Jiang Cheng wakes up and realizes he fell asleep outside while drinking.
- Choosy Beggar: Implied. It's hinted that Jiang Cheng doesn't actually want to stay single despite his claims, but he has absurd standards when it comes to women. He rejects the entire list of blind date candidates because of his nitpicks, even though Wei Wuxian notes that they're all pretty.
- A Day in the Limelight: Jiang Cheng is the central focus of the episode, which covers him and his hopelessness in finding a wife.
- Drowning My Sorrows: After Jin Ling comments on how his uncle might remain single for life, Jiang Cheng rants about not needing a wife while drinking alone in the evening and becomes inebriated enough that he starts slurring out his words before passing out.
- Falling-in-Love Montage: After Jiang Cheng meets his wife, a montage of the two of them happily spending time together and falling in love follows.
- Funny Background Event: While Wei Wuxian recommends different brides to Jiang Cheng, Lan Wangji can be seen standing on the side and giving a scrutinizing look to the latter since he keeps finding a fault with every prospective bride on the list.
- Lightning Glare: Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng glare at each other with lightning cracking in the background while arguing about the latter's picky taste in women.
