Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan get into another fight, and it's up to Wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli to try to mend bridges between the married couple.
- Bee Afraid: The flower bouquet attracts a swarm of ominous-looking bees. Cue Scream Discretion Shot as the bees proceed to sting everyone at Lotus Pier.
- Butt-Monkey: Yu Ziyuan gets injured in some way every time she receives a gift that's supposedly from her husband.
- Failure Montage: Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng's efforts to smooth things over with Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan always blow up in some way.
- They bring her a set of robes and claim that Jiang Fengmian bought it for her. She wears it, but quickly trips on her feet.
- They give her some rouge, which she turns out to be horribly allergic to since she breaks out in hives after putting some on her face.
- They give her a bouquet, which attracts a swarm of bees and results in everyone getting bee stings.
- Scream Discretion Shot: Viewers as treated to shot of a Lotus Pier building while the screams of everyone getting stung by bees can be heard.
- Sneeze Cut: When Wei Wuxian tells Jiang Cheng that they should take refuge at the Cloud Recesses before Yu Ziyuan blows her top, Lan Wangji is shown sneezing afterwards and looking confused as to why.
- The Unreveal: Although Wei Wuxian ponders about it, it's never revealed just what Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan were fighting about.
- Unwanted Assistance: The kids attempt to help Jiang Fengmian patch things up by giving Yu Ziyuan gifts and claiming they're from him. When he returns home, his wife is angrier at him than before, thanks to Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng not being able to foresee their gifts backfiring on them.
