  • Arcana Heart:
    • The sequel adds Zenia, who kinda fits this trope in that her origin is completely shrouded in mystery.
    • The sequel's final boss, Parace L'sia, also has white hair while in her human form. It changes to pink when she turns into her near-naked-elf-in-a-bathing-towel form though.
    • Arcana Heart 3 adds Weiss, who is a liberated experimental subject of a project trying to grant ordinary girls the power to channel Celestial Energy. This installment also reveals Lieselotte and Zenia to be prototypes in the same project... and long-lost siblings.
  • Jeanne from Bayonetta has platinum blonde hair and like the raven haired Bayonetta, is a gunslinging witch.
  • Castlevania:
  • Swan of City of Heroes and Ghost Widow of City of Villains both have white hair and both got their powers from magical sources.
  • Any player created Guardian in Destiny and Destiny 2 other than an Exo can have this, due to being suffused with the Traveler's Light and wielding abilities that appear magical (and for all aintents and purposes, are). Awoken, both Guardian and non-Guardian, are explicitly described as having a power unlike the Light in them. Tyra Karn, an Awoken Warlock that premiered in the Rise of Iron expansion, explicitly has this despite her advanced age, as her hair was always that white.
  • Dante and Vergil from the Devil May Cry series share their father's penchant for white hair, which is a mark of their demonic heritage. Nero from the fourth game also has white hair as a result of having Vergil as a father, with his spectral Devil Trigger taking the form of a Fighting Spirit reminiscent of his father's demonic form. V from Devil May Cry 5, normally has black hair, but upon powering up gets white hair being Vergil’s Soul Jar.
  • The White Dragon of Dreamfall: The Longest Journey has pure white hair in her human form
  • Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan: The Vessels usually have white hair. The only possible exceptions to this are potential Player Character choices: like all classes, Arcanists have Palette Swaps to pick from. However, all NPC Vessels have white hair.
  • The Final Fantasy series has several examples:
  • Fire Emblem:
    • In the remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, Kliff has white hair, and fittingly he has the greatest potential as a Mage (though you will have to really work for it). Boey also has white hair and is a Mage by default.
    • Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War's Ishtar is commonly depicted as having silver or whiteish-pink hair, and she is a Lady of Black Magic. Additionally, the shaman Deirdre in the first generation and her daughter Julia in the second generation have silver hair, hinting at their ancestry as part of Loptous' bloodline (although Julia doesn't actually carry the Holy Blood in any way, unlike her mother).
    • Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade has Idunn, who has white hair (though it's hard to see under her hood) and is capable of dark magic (although she doesn't use it as the True Final Boss; she just turns into a dragon).
    • Micaiah of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. She's called the Silver-Haired Maiden, and yes, that's a plot point. She's a Half-Human Hybrid, which means she needed to roam the land so people wouldn't notice that the years passed and she didn't age nearly as much as she should. Yes, these half-human-half-laguz hybrids are really discriminated against in this world. Considering the people of Daein trust her and see her as a hero, she can't afford to let her secret be known.
    • The Avatar from Fire Emblem: Awakening is a Magic Knight with white as their default hair color. Naturally, this applies to the Avatar's evil counterpart as well, though that also falls under another trope.
    • The Avatar of Fire Emblem Fates also follows suit, although theirs is a slightly darker shade (to the point where it leans blonde, especially in later appearances). This is likely due to them being the child of a dragon.
    • Edelgard and Lysithea of Fire Emblem: Three Houses both have white hair as a result of the experiments they were forced to go under, giving them a second crest along with it. Also, Lysithea defaults to the Mage line, while Edelgard comes with a surprisingly good Magic growth.
  • Syd of Gravity Rush is the only young person in Heckseville with white hair, which is a curiosity. In Gravity Rush 2, it's revealed that he came from the same mystical city on top of the tower that Kat came from, and there, people with dark skin and white hair are a common sight.
  • Amoretta of GrimGrimoire, the Homunculus with the soul of an angel.
  • Harvest Moon:
    • There's The Witch from Harvest Moon: Animal Parade, who lives deep in Fugu Forest and has silver hair.
    • Harvest Moon: A New Beginning brings us Olivia. It seems to be suggested that silvery hair, combined with dark skin, is how most people look in the Harvest Moon version of the Middle East — the vaguely Middle-Eastern-seeming Amir and Sanjay, along with the Wizard from Animal Parade, all have white hair.
  • All of the demon girls in Helltaker have white hair, with shots of Heaven and scenes from the webcomic also showing that angels all have black hair. The fact Azazel's hair starts to turn gray as a result of her gradually becoming a Fallen Angel implies white hair is an inherently demonic attribute. The events of the Examtaker DLC later confirm this, as Azazel finally has fallen from grace and become a demon, with her hair turning white to go along with it.
  • In Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords this is one of the hats of the Human Alien Proud Warrior Race Guy Echani. Jedi Master Atris also has white hair but is never said to be one of them.
  • Mages in Kritika have default white hair.
  • Lady Calista in The Last Story. White hair, and a powerful magic user — in fact, her magic is so powerful, it can temporarily make people invincible! But she's not the only one — many magic users in The Last Story have pale or silvery hair (from party member Yurick, who has silvery hair, to the random NPC magicians, who have shocking white hair), so it seems to be implied that magic frequently has that effect on hair.
  • Riven in League of Legends has white hair. Considering her story involves her turning her back on her home city after seeing them abandon their principles of social Darwinism, she's probably closer to the wise-beyond-her-years variant than anything else.
  • The Sheikah tribe of The Legend of Zelda are eternally dedicated to guarding the Royal Family of Hyrule and have various mystical powers to help them do so; they also all have white hair, which may seem like an example of this trope but is not, since they got their hair-color by way of the Planet of Copyhats effect. Zelda's personal maid Impa was originally portrayed as an old lady in the instruction manuals of the NES games. When she was portrayed in-game for the first time in Ocarina of Time and first stated to be a member of the Sheikah tribe, she looked much younger but still had the white hair. Come Breath of the Wild, the first game to portray other Sheikah besides Impa, and almost the whole tribe has white hair, even the toddlers; of the mere two Sheikah who have other hair colors, one has the blond hair of his Hylian mother instead.
  • Iris in Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals. She retains it in her true form as Erim.
  • Lucia from Luminous Arc has white hair and is a witch that specializes in light magic.
  • Mortal Kombat
    • Raiden a Thunder God and the Big Good of the series. Initially he had brown hair but was depicted as having white hair in the movie. The games have depicted Raiden as having white hair since Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
    • Fujin the Earth God of Wind who debuted in Mortal Kombat 4 has white hair.
    • Smoke's hair is revealed to be this in Mortal Kombat 9. He became an Enenra, a creature of smoke, after he was sacrificed by a demon-worshiping cult who wanted power. Instead, Smoke, then known as Tomas Vrbada, used his new powers to kill his murderers.
  • Noire and Uni from Neptunia, at least when they activate HDD.
  • In Neverwinter Nights this trope is rather common among female Aasimar and other celestials in Faerun. The half-celestials Melissa from the Trials of the Academy module and Kaelyn the Dove from Neverwinter Nights 2 Mask of the Betrayer both also have white hair.
  • Yonah and Kainé from NieR are white haired artificial humans.
  • Nights of Azure has the main character Arnice, who is a white-haired half-demon.
  • Temenos from Octopath Traveler II is a Cleric with naturally white hair. He starts off with access to Light and healing magic, and his good elemental stats allow him to use any offensive magic well.
  • Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere has white hair. Seems to be a common trait for Valkyries.
  • Abe no Seimei, the protagonist of Onmyōji (2016). Being basically a wizard and having long white locks certainly qualifies.
    • Many Youkai characters also have white hair, for instance Yuki-onna (default skin), Yōko, Shiromujō and Ibaraki-dōji.
    • Hiromasa also has white hair in one of his skins.
  • Orta, the titular heroine of Panzer Dragoon Orta has white hair since she's half-Drone and her parents are Azel and Edge from Panzer Dragoon Saga.
  • Red Goddess: Inner World: Divine is a white-haired goddess who's exploring her inner world to regain her memories and powers.
  • Freudia from RosenkreuzStilette has white hair and specializes in ice magic.
  • Ruina: Fairy Tale of the Forgotten Ruins: While the player can choose the protagonist's mugshot, they will always be albino. This is because they're descended from a clan of humanoid demons specifically bred to be Titus I's new vessel, all of whom are albino.
  • Alice Elliot from Shadow Hearts is a platinum blonde haired exorcist who specializes in light magic and healing.
  • Shin Megami Tensei:
    • Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse: In a game where most characters have black or brown hair, teenage Hallelujah's silver hair stands out, foreshadowing how he's a powerful half-demon. In his demon form, his hair is hot pink.
    • All Velvet Room attendants starting from Persona 3 have white hair (except Margaret in the Persona 4 Anime) and they are all really powerful, serving as secret bosses, who also happen to be the strongest bosses in the game.
    • Izanami from Persona 4 has gray hair. Considering she looks essentially like a Gender-flipped version of the PC, it's not surprising.
  • Soul Series:
    • Ivy Valentine has silver hair due to her father being cursed with the Soul Edge and his corruption being transferred to her. Its shown that even as a child, she always had this hair color and due to her Malfestation, she becomes The Ageless.
    • Viola is a Lady of Black Magic with white curled hair. Unlike Ivy, it's unclear what is behind this condition since Viola suffers from amnesia, but what is clear is that she has magical powers to manipulate her orb in combat.
  • Street Fighter:
    • Urien of Street Fighter III fame has white hair and is The Dragon of The Illuminati and is able manipulate both his ki and the elements of the Earth, such as lightning and steel.
    • Oni, Akuma’s One-Winged Angel transformation were he given into Dark Hado completely from Street Fighter IV has white spikey hair.
    • M.Bison (Vega in Japan) who already has mystical connotations with his Psycho Power has white hair in Street Fighter V. Although his white hair could also be a sign his Psycho Power is putting too much of a strain on his body.
  • Sierra Mikain from Suikoden II fits every aspect of this trope to a T, from the beautiful white hair to the mysterious personality.
  • In Sword and Fairy 7 all Heaven Demons have white hair, likely as a result of their corruption.
  • Tales Series:
  • Lilette Einmell from Tales of Hetalia has white hair, signaling she is a demon. In fact, this series runs on this trope, considering all demons have white hair.
  • In Tekken 7 the Devil Gene transformation of Kazumi Mishima (wife of Heihatchi and Kazuya’s mom) has white hair along with white skin, being a case of Light Is Not Good overall.
  • Touhou Project has several such characters. Eirin Yagokoro and Fujiwara no Mokou have white hair and are probably the result of being immortal, though that raises the question of why Kaguya Houraisan has black hair. Sakuya Izayoi, despite supposedly being a normal human, has silver hair as well, which has lead many fans to speculate that she may not, in fact, be human at all. Letty Whiterock is a yuki-onna. Youmu Konpaku is a silver haired half-ghost (we don't know how that works either), and a straight up albino if you go by the fighting games' art. Momiji Inubashiri is a white wolf tengu. Then there's all the characters with very pale but still coloured hair...
  • This seems to be at play with Uncommon Time's Altair. He's regarded as one of the greatest magicians to ever live, and he has silver hair. There may also be some of this going on with Aubrey, your white-haired Squishy Wizard.
  • Valkyria Chronicles has Selvaria Bles, with long white hair, a general at the ripe old age of 22. Alicia's hair goes white only when she's "powered up", oddly, but it wouldn't be much of a surprise otherwise. Edy Nelson also has white hair, but she's normal.
    • Aliasse from Valkyria Chronicles II. Silver hair and red eyes seems to be the mark of a Valkyria, either all the time or when a girl turns into one.
    • Riela from Valkyria Chronicles III is a strange case; her normal hair is red at the top and turns silver midway, but when she goes into Valkyria form, her hair become entirely silver.
  • Lenneth in Valkyrie Profile is a silver haired Valkyrie.
  • Several Mystics (deities) introduced in the Warriors Orochi series have white hair. The second game gives us Nu Wa and Taigong Wang, while the third has Shennong and Susano'o.
  • Avril Vent Fleur from Wild AR Ms 5 has silver hair, as part of her persona of Mysterious Waif.
  • In The Witcher, Geralt has white hair that has earned him the epithet "The White Wolf". His hair color is especially odd because while witchers are supernatural, it's not normal for them to have white hair. Instead, it is the mark of his being especially amenable to the witcher mutagens.
    • By the time of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, his adoptive daughter Ciri, who possesses magical abilities that are strange even in her world, such as the ability to move between worlds, has also developed white/ashen hair despite still being a young woman.
  • A Witch's Tale has Anne, the silver haired little girl whom Liddell befriends in the second playthrough. Unfortunately, she grows up to become the Eld Witch.
  • Psi Operatives in XCOM 2 get white hair and purple eyes upon being trained.
  • Many Highborne night elves in World of Warcraft have white hair from centuries and millennia of practicing arcane magic. Jaina Proudmoore's originally blonde hair also turns white as a result of her exposure to the mana bomb that destroyed Theramore.
