Despite Total Drama being a Sadist and Gross-Out Show, it manages to have its fair share of cute and endearing characters.
First generation cast:
- Beth, a short and mousy Bespectacled Cutie with a sweet, awkward, and naïve personality who is eager to make friends and have everybody like her.
- Bridgette, who is a caring, gentle, and kind-natured Cute Clumsy Girl who loves animals and gets along with nearly everybody else on the show.
- DJ, a sensitive Gentle Giant who gets along with almost everyone, is practically the definition of a human teddy bear.
- Izzy, a Badass Adorable Genki Girl who takes the hyperactivity, excitability, and enthusiasm associated with such characters to insane levels.
- Katie and Sadie, two cheerful, bubbly, and easily excitable girls with Girlish Pigtails, childish tendencies, and an absurdly close friendship.
- Lindsay, a Brainless Beauty with a peppy, innocent, and sweet personality, as well as an adorably child-like tone to her voice.
- Owen, who is a Big Fun that loves to party, enjoys making friends, and has a childlike demeanor to life.
- Sierra, despite being a Yandere Loony Fan, is an extremely energetic and excitable girl with a high-pitched childish voice who constantly comments on things being cute.
Second generation cast:
- Dakota, despite the expectation that she wouldn't be this due to Attention Whore tendencies before her Character Development, ultimately turns out to be Moe. She is sweet and nothing but kind to the other campers, falls in love with Sam for his personality, and later turns out to be the biggest woobie of this generation's cast. Dawn discovers that her need for attention is because she's secretly a case of I Just Want to Be Loved, she later puts up with a lot of abuse as an intern, and in the end she goes through Transformation Horror because of the island's nuclear waste. Thankfully Sam still loves her just the way she is.
- Dawn, who is a Luna Lovegood Expy, is the shortest girl in the season, has big doe eyes, and a cute, squeaky voice.
- Mike, a Nice Guy with a Childish Tooth Gap who just wants to make friends and get along with others despite his disorder.
- Zoey, a cute redhead who has an endearing personality and a Friendless Background that would make anyone want to give her a hug.
Third generation cast:
- Ella, who dresses like a princess, usually has a sunny disposition in life, and she is incredibly sweet and friendly to everyone.
- Rodney's not the shinest diamond, but his lovestruck moments, tendency to blush and mumble his words, Childish Tooth Gap, and Gentle Giant nature is enduring.
- Samey, who is a Shrinking Violet due to constant abuse from her sister, intends to instill sympathy from the viewers.
- Sky, despite her competitive drive, is an incredibly sweet and compassionate character with a graceful and petite appearance.
Total Drama Presents: The Ridonculous Race:
- Carrie, who is very sweet to everyone and just wants her crush Devin to notice her.
- Jen and Tom of the Fashion Bloggers, who have very cute designs and come across as super peppy and excitable. Their enthusiasm for shopping is contagious and one can't help but love their reactions to things that excite them, along with them fast-talking whenever their excited, which is almost all of the time. They are also very much nice despite their stereotype as shallow fashion bloggers, even giving a nice compliment to one of the locals for her swan dress at one point.
- Kitty, who's a sweet, innocent, Genki Girl who wants to live life to the fullest.
Fourth generation cast:
- Julia, a sweet Granola Girl that supports her team and influences her followers with her philosophy. Quickly averted when it was revealed to be an act to hide her villainous side.
- Millie. She's Wise Beyond Their Years and has a tendency to look down on people, but her friendship with Priya, positivity, and voice (mind you, she shares Zoey's voice actress) is adorable.
- Priya. An Action Girl who is really passionate and nice to everyone despite her upbringing. Her friendship with Millie also contributes to this. And she gets especially Moe when becoming flustered and blushing from Damien's comment that she looks stunning.
- Raj and Wayne are Endearingly Dorky and Heterosexual Life-Partners who love to support each other and play sports. Wayne in particular is a perky Shipper on Deck for Bowie/Raj, and Raj has a tendency to get nervous and blush when around Bowie.
Bowie: These hockey jocks are like puppies. Not the smartest, but adorable.
- Scary Girl. Think of Izzy, but make her more of a Cloudcuckoolander and increase her Genki Girl nature. That's Scary Girl to the max.
- Zee is a silly Kind Hearted Simpleton who always sees the glass as half-full. Then in the second season fearuring this cast, he forms a bond with a raccoon.
Total DramaRama:
The designs for the toddler versions of the characters are all absolutely adorable, but some of the kids are definitely cuter than others.- Bridgette is the cutest of the bunch BY FAR. She takes the kind and sweet Nice Girl personality of her teenage counterpart up to eleven like you wouldn't believe, like "A Licking Time Bomb", where she sets up her own business for free compliments and hugs! And like her teenage self, she is still a huge Woobie due to her Butt-Monkey status, like in "Hic Hic Hooray", where she undergoes a Trauma Conga Line as she tries to get rid of her hiccups. The result is a character that is somehow even more adorable and huggable than before.
- Cody is also ridiculously cute in this show. While his teenage self is considered extremely adorkable by many fans, his Chivalrous Pervert and Dogged Nice Guy tendencies have earned him some vocal detractors. Here, he's lost most of his bad traits to become an adorably sensitive and innocent Cheerful Child with almost all his endearingly childlike traits from the main show. He's also a a major Woobie here, due to being made into a massive Butt-Monkey.
- Courtney is adorable in this show too. In the parent series, her perfectionist attitude made her an increasingly cutthroat Jerkass, but without the competition setting, it's better channeled into just wanting to be a good and responsible kid who follows the rules and tries to keep her more rambunctious classmates in line. It’s just endearing to see how hard she tries, and you really feel for her when things don’t go her way, which is extremely often.
- Izzy is very moe for exactly the same reasons as she is in the main series: being a Badass Adorable Genki Girl with an energy level that you can’t help but love.
- Owen still manages to be the Big Fun and optimistic guy that he was in the original show, only that he's a child and is more energetic.
