A good look at our hero and his two patient, loving girlfriends.

As is the case with all pages detailing Funny Moments, Spoilers Off

  • Chapter 1:
    • The story begins around eight or nine years in the future. Eri, Kota, and Katsuma are training to take the entrance exam in a couple of months, and are currently running late. Kota is annoyed that Eri made them train more than necessary, Katsuma is seriously worried about being late (due to the worry that he will not only be grounded by Mahoro, he won't be able to return Satsuki's (Tsu's sister) book, which will earn him a slap with her tongue, and Eri is more annoyed than anything, being more than willing to be used as a scapegoat by them both. A very illuminating introduction to the apparent Big Three of the next generation.
    • Their arguments come to a halt when they hear the sounds of fighting across the street. At first Kota and Katsuma think they should probably back away and call the cops ... only to realize a bit too late that their friend (and later revealed girlfriend) already left to see the fight.
      Kota: Wait. Crime in process.
Katsuma: (realizing in horror)... a really good chance of people getting hurt.
Kota: Chances of seeing a hero swing by are pretty high.
Katsuma: She's a complete and utter dumbass.
    • Izuku has quite an Establishing Character Moment as a fully grown pro hero. He makes a rather dramatic, slow-building entrance, filling the villains who were attempting to beat up random heroes crap themselves in terror, arrives around the corner with a blast of lightning and takes out a few of the villains ... only to pause when he spots Eri in the crowd, and proceeds to scold his daughter and give the villains some time to get a head start.
Random Bystander: Hey! Spark! Those villains made a break for it.
      Izuku: Oh, crap!
    • What is even funnier is the fact that this happens so often, people are used to the antics of the hero chastising his fangirl daughter in the middle of a fight.
    • When he eventually meets up with Ochako, she reads him the riot act for pulling an all-nighter, and then proceeds to make him regret it dearly by provocatively revealing that her recently purchased lingerie arrived the night before, and with Eri having been over at a sleepover, Izuku missed his one chance to have a night with his wife. Izuku is noted to look like he was dying inside with each word out of Ochako's mouth.
    • They then get summons by Itsuka to help her out with a Big Bad Wannabe, and Ochako makes it clear that, due to Itsuka being away for three weeks, once they have some alone time with her she was going to be scolded — but not before a make-out session. And sure enough, once the villain is arrested, Ochako makes good on her promise and squeezes the life out of Itsuka while embracing her.
    • When Eri later arrives home with Katsuma and Kota in tow at the end of the day, Ochako and Itsuka make it clear that they're going to give Eri a Cool and Unusual Punishment ... by beginning to describe to her what they were going to do once she goes to bed. Eri is rightfully horrified and begs them to stop speaking.
    • Not too long after the dinner ends, Eri goes outside with Kota and Katsuma to see them off. Itsuka notices that both Izuku and Ochako are anxiously looking out the window, and looking out the window shows her Eri kissing Kota. Itsuka is naturally stunned to see her daughter kissing her best friend ... only to be completely gobsmacked when she goes on and kisses Katsuma as well. Apparently, Eri decided to follow in her parents' footsteps and is dating her two best friends. Ochako is excited, Izuku seems to be dead on the inside and Itsuka feels like they are bad influences on their adoptive child.
  • Chapter 2 has the Midoriyas meeting the Urarakas for the first time, and having them over for dinner. Hisashi, realizing that his young son is nervous about meeting new people, makes a promise to watch All Might videos afterwards with him while sneaking some chocolate. During the dinner, Taiyo and Miwa ask Izuku what he was doing in the forest with Katsuki, and when Inko clearly looks displeased at her son, Izuku does not hesitate to throw Hisashi under the bus to get himself out of trouble.
Izuku: ... Dad wants to eat chocolate later when you go to bed.
(Hisashi spits out his drink in shock)
    • Another humorous and heartwarming moment comes when the Urarkas get ready to leave, with Hisashi getting them their coats and getting ready to fetch the children when Izuku and Ochako run past them and hurry to go play in Izuku's room after hours of awkwardness. After a second to process what had happened, the two sets of parents come up with several excuses to delay the Urarakas leaving for another few hours.
  • After Izuku accidentally manifests his Quirk and uses it against Katsuki, he locked himself inside his room, emotionally destroyed by what he did. Ochako, however, becomes angry and quickly leaps up onto the bed to get him out from under the covers, prompting a wrestling match between the toddlers. When Hisashi asks if they should break it up, Taiyo advises against it since Ochako was a biter when she was angry, showing a few bite marks on his arm as proof.
  • The first meeting between a middle-school-aged Izuku and Ochako and All Might is chalked full of hilarity.
    • After saving them from the sludge villain, All Might quickly offers Ochako a drink of the soda that he purchased before he has to dump the contents and store the sludge villain inside. Ochako, however, gets a case of Skewed Priorities, not wanting to waste the soda, and has All Might dump its contents into the water bottles Ochako keeps in her backpack. All Might somehow manages to do this before the sludge villain can get away.
    • After Izuku wakes up and All Might departs, Ochako is about to share the story of how All Might fit the villain in the bottles when she notices that Izuku vanished. It takes her a second to realize where he went, and she can only scream Izuku's name in horror when she spots him clinging to All Might's leg several hundred meters in the air.
    • Once All Might departs on the rooftop, Izuku gets a phone call from Ochako, and immediately realizes that he's in for the scolding of a lifetime as he reluctantly answers.
Ochako: Izuku Midoriya, I am going to murder you!
      Izuku: Eek!
  • Itsuka, receiving a text from All Might to give him a call for more details about training, tries to find an empty classroom to answer him - and ends up bumping into Eijirou Kirishima training his Quirk by smashing his head against a rebar. Itsuka awkwardly slides the door shut and tries to pretend she forgot she saw that while Eijirou crumbles in embarrassment.
  • Chapter 5 has the recurring gag of Gūdo, Itsuka's Big Friendly Dog, attempting to sneak pieces of Izuku and Itsuka's food from them when he thinks they aren't paying attention, and being unsuccessful.
  • Chapter 6:
    • Hisashi calls home while Inko and Izuku are away. As soon as Ochako picks up the phone, he blasts her with his Large Ham skills.
      Ochako: Hello, Midoriya residence?
Hisashi: Huh? Who is this? A thief?! What have you done with Inko and Izuku, you animal?!
Ochako (giggling): I've stuffed them inside a closet, and now I'm searching your apartment, looking for that five thousand yen bill you have hidden somewhere. I'm gonna start with the work desk and go from there.
Hisashi: I knew I should've never shown you that bill, I should've known that you'd wait for the first opportunity you had to go snooping around for my money. No morals, Ochako, that's your problem.
Ochako: You shouldn't make it so easy to steal from you, then. And I have plenty of morals! If I didn't, I'd have gone through the secret stash of chocolate you keep in the fridge a long time ago - and it's been tempting.
Hisashi: I have that stuff counted by the bar, Miss Uraraka, steal from it at your own peril.
      Ochako: I fear no man!
    • As Ochako is preparing to follow Izuku early in the morning (something she practically has to drag herself out of bed for, clearly not a morning person), she is caught by her parents, who admit they also noticed Izuku's strange behavior and had their own plans to find out what was going on with him. Taiyo, for example, was going to wait outside in his truck, and when Izuku leaves, offer him a ride to where he is going, before stopping at the park ask him what is going on. Miwa, on the other hand, was going to organize a sleepover and catch him as soon as he is about to leave. She even had Crocodile Tears ready - since Izuku doesn't like to see her crying, that would certainly make him spill the beans.
    • After Ochako leaves, Miwa complains that her husband shouldn't be trying to make their daughter see Izuku as a family member, because it's been ten years since they know each other, and it's about time for some development in their relationship.
    • When Taiyo goes to grab a glass of water, he's quick to see Miwa bending over to pick up her phone from her purse, giving him an excuse to steal a peek at her. Since their daughter is gone and none of them is going to sleep again, they decide to get it on. After a massage, of course, much to Taiyo's annoyance.
    • A mid-Tear Jerker moment where Ochako finds out that Izuku is training for the U.A. without her is quickly interrupted when All Might suddenly appears on the beach with donuts for the trainees. This leads to a confirmation of Ochako's suspicion that All Might and the skinny blonde dude picking Izuku from school are the same person. Toshinori attempts to weakly make up an excuse on the spot, only for Ochako carefully point out his Paper-Thin Disguise.
Ochako: Your height and eye color are exactly the same as his.
      All Might winced.
Ochako: Your hair color, length and texture are nearly identical, too.
Izuku let out a quiet groan.
Ochako: Your voices are also really similar.
Itsuka slapped a hand to her forehead.
Ochako: You two literally drive the same truck.
All three of them slumped their shoulders.
Ochako: You're the freaky skinny guy, or I'm eating my foot.
    • After Ochako joins their training squad, All Might decides to better to get the paperwork ready for her parents:
All Might: Once I have confirmation that they'll get three copies of those documents ready to sign, I'll drive you and Young Uraraka back home at the end of the day, and talk to her parents like I did with your mother and Young Kendou's. Hopefully it goes a lot better with them than it did last night.
      (Beat)
All Might: ... Young Midoriya, this is supposed to be the part where you assure me that her parents won't kill me.
Izuku: I ... honestly can't promise you that, All Might.
      All Might: ... oh, boy.
  • Chapter 7:
    • Poor, poor Bubble Girl. She is assigned by Sir Nighteye to spy on the beach that Izuku and Itsuka are training on — and she has to do so by hiding in the bushes. When Setsuna and Yui pass by, she nearly trips over herself trying to hide, and once they're gone, awkwardly climbs out of the bush, scratching herself on the branches and making a mess of her hero costume before receiving a call from Nighteye and intimidating the hell out of her. She's seen in a later chapter rubbing cream on her scratches while complaining.
Yep. She was starting to hate her job.
    • Setsuna and Yui are making their way to the beach in order to prank Itsuka for leaving them hanging for so long. Yui, being Yui, is not amused by having to do something she doesn't want to, which leads to a playful banter between the two friends.
Setsuna: Like, she sneaks around, pretends that she's some secret agent withholding important information - it'll be funny to sneak up on her, won't it?
Yui: While you do raise good points, and it probably would be funny to scare the shit out of her, there is one point that you aren't considering.
      Setsuna: What's that?
Yui: It isn't any of our damn business.
Setsuna: I acknowledge that Ken is entitled to her secrets, and choose to ignore that fact. C'mon, Yui, it's not like Ken's going to beat us up if we swing by. Worse that could happen is that she tells us to go away, and we both know her, it won't be anything personal. If her coach doesn't want us to be here, then we'll apologize and leave.
Yui: You also fail to consider that it's very hot out. I was having a nice day in my house's air conditioning before you broke down my door and dragged me out here. I started sweating literally the moment we stepped outside, so my hatred of you right now is incomprehensible.
Setsuna: We can go to the beach right after this. Y'know, a different beach than trash city down there.
      Yui: Tempting.
Setsuna: If we swing by my place before we go, I'll wear my two piece.
      Yui: You've sold me.
    • When Setsuna and Yui are spotted by the trio and All Might, Itsuka urges Izuku and Ochako to hide, despite All Might clearly being out in the open. When asked about that, Itsuka says that it's all right since All Might dresses like he's homeless and looks like he belongs anyway. All Might is insulted by that, looking down at his clothes — and then begrudgingly concedes her point.
    • Itsuka believes that if they keep quiet and don't say anything, Set and Yui get bored and just leave ... and then Setsuna's flying head appears right above her, with only All Might, Izuku, and Ochako seeing it, while Itsuka is wondering how her two crazy friends found her.
    • Upon formally meeting Izuku and Ochako, Setsuna and Yui decide that the first order of business is to try to flirt with Itsuka's cute and hot training partners, only to back away immediately when they noticed that said closeness is triggering Itsuka's Clingy Jealous Girl mode. Both mentally point out that those trees have already been peed on.
    • Setsuna decides to not let the tension escalate by going full-on Large Ham, with Yui dryly playing along and Itsuka sarcastically responding.
Setsuna: I should've known! We haven't hung out in weeks! I know I'm not exactly one to talk since I've been getting ready for UA too, but I should've known that you'd take advantage of the distance between us to slide into other people's D Ms!
Yui: Mm, you utter heathen. You've taken your two new training partners and replaced us with them. For shame, Itsuka, for shame.
Setsuna: Yeah! How dare you break our fragile little hearts this way, Ken?! I thought we've been inseparable since we were kids, but now I have to deal with the fact that we're apparently replaceable in your heart!
Itsuka: Yes, it's true, I've been having a love affair behind both your backs. I'm cheating on you both. Just not with these two - I've actually been sleeping with the two heating pads I have in my house for months now.
Setsuna: Wha - Jéan?! And - and Randalf?! Those bastards?!
Itsuka: Mm-hm. Yep. Jéan and Randalf. Sorry, you two, heat pads are my new best friends.
Yui: For shame, I thought we had something special going on.
Itsuka: I use them to relieve back pain. You two cause me mental pain.
    • As Yui and Set continue to comment on Ochako and Izuku's good looks, Itsuka, once again, slips back into her Clingy Jealous Girl act.
Itsuka: Okay, that's enough of this conversation, Yui, please don't flirt with Midoriya, you might actually make him explode. And leave Uraraka alone too, she might actually be a cousin of yours and you do not wanna flirt with family.
Yui: Perhaps, but if she's not my cousin, it's free real estate.
    • Setsuna lists the reasons why she still hangs out with Mina:
Setsuna: Okay, first of all, our breakup was actually pretty amicable. She wanted something serious, and I didn't, so we talked it out and agreed to just be friends. Second of all, even if we broke up, she's still very sexy, and told me that if I ever wanted to hit her up and go to some club, she'd one hundred percent be down. And third of all, fuck y'all.
Yui: That third point was unnecessary.
    • Setsuna tries to fish out some embarrassing stories of Izuku and Ochako's childhood. Ochako is ready to spill the beans on something before Izuku warns that he will talk about the Mochi Ice Cream Incident if she dares say anything. She calls it a bluff and the two continue to square off on a Mexican standoff of embarrassing stories for quite a while.
    • As it turns out, to introduce Izuku to the person that would help him overcome the mental block of his Quirk, All Might has to take him to UA. Cue Izuku having a complete nerd meltdown standing outside his dream school, and when he, All Might, and Tenko leave to go get coffee, he continues to give wistful looks to the building.
  • Chapter 9:
    • During their New Year's Eve party, Setsuna introduces Izuku to her family. He very quickly finds out where she got her mischievous side from, as both her parents declare him their long-lost son to their youngest daughter, Sera, who promptly clings to Izuku all night long.
    • When Izuku, Itsuka, and Ochako head out to let Gūdo use the bathroom, Eijirou lampshades the Unresolved Sexual Tension.
Eijirou: So, uh … this is, uh … maybe a weird question, but … do you guys know what's … you know, going on with, uh …
Setsuna: Are you asking us if we know what's going on with those three? Because trust me, buddy - I got no fucking clue what's going on there.
    • Setsuna presents the design for her hero costume to Izuku, which is a skintight bodysuit made of her hair. Izuku is naturally flustered over her design choice and asks if the suit needs to be skintight. She says it doesn't have to be, it's just because she is sexy and wants to show it off. Yui naturally agrees.
    • In Yui's case, her costume is an In-Universe Shout-Out to Ultraman. Setsuna warns that she could get sued by Tsuburaya but the sizeshifter girl merely says that they can try it.
    • Nejire's Establishing Character Moment in the story. She arrives at the Entrance Exam and immediately bombards everyone around her with rapid-fire questions. All while her best friend Yuyu is cringing next to her and trying to get her to calm down.
Yuyu: Nej, I know you're really curious, and I love you, but you gotta keep it inside today.
Nejire: I can't! There's so much I want to know about everything! Look over there, a few people are getting on that bus, are we late? Maybe the practical exam comes before the written one? Or maybe they're the recommended students? That one boy has red hair and white hair, kinda like the Canadian flag! Does his Quirk have something to do with syrup? Oooooh, look over there, Yuuyu! That pink girl has horns! Do you think they can come off? Or maybe they're a headband? Oh, look at that tree, I think I can see some leaves starting to bloom! Or maybe my eyes are weird. Maybe. Ooh, and that guy looks really tired! The purple haired guy! Do you think he's sleepy?
  • Chapter 10 is full of hilarity as our three main characters meet the rest of their cast:
    • Izuku ends up having a mini-panic attack at the entrance of UA, muttering 'this is it, this is it, this is it' repeatedly while clearly having a crisis. Itsuka and Ochako agree to grab his arms and give him a shake to get him out of it.
    • Finally meeting Katsuki, Itsuka takes a moment to observe him before coming to a natural conclusion:
Itsuka: Wow ... you know what, Uraraka, you were right. I thought you were slightly exaggerating things - but his small dick energy is off the charts.
Izuku squeaked. Ochako guffawed. Katsuki's eyes widened in anger.
      • After Katsuki threatens her and leaves, both Izuku and Ochako subconsciously think Itsuka insulting Katsuki to his face was both the greatest and hottest thing they had ever seen.
    • Being split up into two different Battle Centers, Izuku is nervous about being on his own, made worse by Tenya being there to call him out on his muttering during the orientation — and then they both notice Nejire going around and pestering the rest of the examinees while asking too many questions for them to answer. Izuku giving Tenya an Aside Glance is enough to get the other boy to head over to tell her to stop, with Tenya apparently realizing the hypocrisy of being on Izuku's case when Nejire is a hundred times worse.
    • Anytime Izuku geeks out over the Full Gauntlet and how cool it is.
    • Izuku runs into robots and immediately starts blasting them apart — with the robots apparently programmed to attempt to guilt trip him, knowing each other on a more personal level and crying out at each other's destruction. Word of God says that it was probably Midnight and Present Mic that fed them the lines.
"You murdered our brother. A curse upon your family, small green lightning man!"
"Villain Bot Serial Number 1678323! He was about to be retired! Sent to the robot farm to frolic in the grass! Die, plain looking green person!"
"I never should have quit dental school."
    • Every interaction between Izuku and Nejire. She's endlessly curious about him and Izuku is clearly nervous around her, and she doesn't even notice it - even when she gives an Offhand Backhand to a robot charging them, leaving Izuku nervously wondering how powerful she really was.
    • Itsuka and Ochako have a swell time working together in their own zone — until they come across the zero pointer. They spend the next five minutes screaming every curse word they know as they realize that they would have to fight against the giant robot and potentially sacrifice any points they could have made to the other contestants in order to stop its rampage causing a riot.
    • Once the exam is finished, Izuku, Itsuka, and Ochako meet up at the nurse's office, where they meet Himiko Toga - dressed up in an outfit that wouldn't look out of place on Midnight. She spends her remaining screen time making passes at Izuku and Ochako, while completely ignoring Itsuka and barely acknowledging her existence, leaving Itsuka fuming as she drags Ochako and Izuku out. Not to mention that Recovery Girl has obviously had enough of Himiko, and repeatedly whacks her on the head with her cane.
    • Realizing that they passed causes Izuku and Ochako to celebrate, causing Izuku to lift her off her feet just as her parents and Inko come in. The adults quickly attempt to leave so Izuku and Ochako could 'celebrate' in peace.
  • Chapter 11:
    • Nejire's reunion with Izuku during their first day at UA. Izuku barely has any time to collect his thoughts before the blue-haired girl slams into him with a Glomp and takes a long time commenting how happy she is that he passed as well. Izuku is, at first, too flustered to really respond, until he realizes that they are hugging chest-to-chest, which means that the softness he is feeling against him is Nejire's endowed assets. Cuts to Izuku going red as cherry with embarrassment.
    • Itsuka and Ochako watch this whole interaction in deadly silence. Ochako is speechless and Itsuka is two-seconds away from throwing Nejire to the Moon before Setsuna steps in and draws the curious girl's attention.
    • Which in turn leads to Nejire bombarding the rest of the class with questions until Aizawa makes his dramatic entrance. Of course, that doesn't stop Nejire from targeting her teacher with another round of questions:
Nejire: Oooh! So you're our teacher! Do you know the other teachers too, or are you new? I know Present Mic teaches here since he was the one who was in charge of our orientation, and I know Midnight teaches here since she was the one in my video telling me that I passed - or wait, maybe they're only spokesmen of UA? Is that a thing? Does UA use heroes to announce their thingies? Kinda like Shishido, he does promotions for shoes, I think I had a pair a year or so ago before they ripped, and … um … Uwabami! I know she did some modeling for a bra company, I bought a few! And now that I'm thinking about it …
Aizawa (raising his and to silence her): I'm only going to ask you this once - are you supposed to be in Class 1B?
Nejire: Hm? No, Midnight in the letter said that I would be in Class 1-A.
      Aizawa: Of course you are.
    • After getting into their hero costumes for the battle trial, everyone is discussing their uniforms with each other, while Yui is taking her sweet time admiring Momo's costume, which, even though it's far more modest than her canon one, still really shows off her curves. When questioned as to why she was staring, Yui says that she likes it because much like her own costume is red with white details, and Momo, completely oblivious to the stoic girl's pervert antics, thanks her for it. Itsuka, on the other hand, knows what her friend is doing and pinches her for it.
  • Chapter 12:
    • The second day of school, and Aizawa is (to the surprise of no one) absolutely done with Nejire. When he comes into Nezu's office when they meet after the battle trial, his first words are immediately:
Aizawa: Transfer Hadou over to Class 1B or I quit.
Nezu (laughing and smiling mischievously): Oh, Aizawa - as if I would simply let you quit! I'm afraid I'll be having you teach here until your hair is completely grey.
    • Before the school day ends, All Might decides it is time to pass One for All to Itsuka. And as in canon, he does it by giving her one of his hairs to eat. Her reaction is a Flat "What" before the following exchange:
Itsuka: I - but - does it have to be hair?!
All Might: Hm - well, not necessarily. It could be blood, if you wanted. Or if you'd like, I could spit into your drink.
      (Beatx2)
      Itsuka: ... god damn it.
  • Chapter 14: Even though the USJ attack is in full swing and Darker and Edgier with the Villain Consortium, the story finds time to throw some lightheartedness, courtesy of Nejire, Yui, and Tsu:
Tsu: Careful, Kodai, you're the only one here that might not recover if you fall into the water from this height, kero. I'll keep my tongue wrapped around you just to be safe.
    Yui: Kinky.
Tsu: If you say so, kero.
Nejire: Hey, hey, do you guys think we can use this for recreation when we're not dying? Can we, can we? Wait, there's ice in there, I might get hurt if I - darn it!
  • Chapter 15:
    • While explaining to Pony what Trigger is, and embarrassed Yosetsu mentions that after being legalized, the drug has been used to stop baldness and erectile dysfunction. He knows this because his uncle, thankfully, uses it to treat his hair issues. Pony is, nevertheless, disgusted.
    • While never particularly shown on page, after Nejire causes a tsunami and floods the whole building, it's funny to imagine how Slice is probably having a very bad hair day after nearly being drowned, and that is even after Nine protected her with his Air Wall Quirk.
    • Before beginning their plan to get out of the conflagration zone, each member of the trio reveals a "Dark Secret" about themselves:
Izuku: ... I stole Occhan's pudding cup back in fifth grade and blamed it on her dad. I still have nightmares of what might happen if she finds out.
Yosetsu: I got ten bandanas just like this one back home. I pretend that they're all different when someone at school asks, but they're all the same. I'm embarrassed if anyone ever finds out.
Pony: (in English) I spent all of our battle trials a few days ago looking at everyone's butts. Midoriya-san, you don't have the best bootie in class, but it's definitely up there.
      (Beat)
Izuku: Uh … Tsunotori, did you say my name somewhere in there?
      Pony: Nope.
    • While Itsuka and Ochako's Big Damn Kiss is a very heartwarming moment in this nightmare of an arc, as soon as their lips disconect, they're both hit with a massive Oh, Crap! realization of what they just did, leaving them blushing messes incapable of looking at each other after it. Thankfully, Kyouka and Momo show up to shake them back into their senses, although Kyouka is the first to notice that Itsuka still has drool on her face, much to the redhead's embarrassment.
  • Chapter 16, even if made up of 99% Nightmare Fuel, still carries on some lighthearted moments, courtesy of Tsu and Yui's Snark-to-Snark Combat:
    • After Tenya flees to take Nejire to safety, Tsu comments that he may have a pole up his ass but is a nice guy. Yui, being Yui, mutters that she wished his pole up her ass before shutting up and realizing she is speaking out loud.
    • The battle between 1-A's resident snarky girls continues:
Yui: So... do you have a plan for how we're going to do this? Because I definitely don't.
Tsuyu: Well, I was thinking that we would go in quietly, kero, listen for our classmates, and if we spot them, I can use my tongue to zip them to safety, and then we can make a run for it.
      (Beat x2)
      Yui:... that's a stupid plan.
Tsuyu: I'm more than aware, kero. Do you have any better ideas?
Yui: Nope. Which is why I'm annoyed we're going to have to go with this one.
    • And then Tenya arrives:
Yui: No, we were fine, we were just debating how we were going to do this. Tsuyu had a dumb plan.
Tsuyu: Kero, I'm still waiting to hear your own plan.
Yui: Well, you can keep waiting because I don't have one. Which is why we're probably going to go with your plan.
      Tsuyu: That's what I thought.
Tenya: W-well, clearly, if you are having doubts about your plan, we should take this moment to discuss and potentially improve on it! We should not run all willy-nilly into the lion's den, we should take a moment to come up with a more solid plan that does not end up backfiring on us! May I please know whatever 'dumb' plan Asui was planning? I assure you, you appear to be quite the intelligent individual, so I'm certain that your plan is well thought-out!
      Tsuyu: It's Tsuyu, kero.
      Tenya: My apologies!
Yui: Her plan was to go into the zone quietly, look for our classmates, grab them if they're in trouble, and then haul ass.
      (Beat x3)
Tsuyu: ...you can say that it's a dumb plan, Iida, it is pretty dumb.
      Tenya: I - n-no, it's - it's not, Asui - I mean Tsuyu! It's - well - it's a viable strategy, certainly! It's just - er - well - we could maybe work on it a bit more before - (gets interrupted by a loud crash)
  • Chapter 19:
    • After waking from his nightmare, Izuku finds himself in a extremely compromising position, cuddled between Itsuka and Ochako, and because the universe is never done with messing with the greenette, the situation only escalates from there on.
      • First, because Tenohira walks into the room. She takes a quick look in the situation, and then calls Inko and Miwa into the the room, much to Izuku's mortification.
      • Then Hashuku and All Might, who wanted to deliver Melissa's package to Izuku, arrive as well, followed by Teko, who is (unsurprisingly) not in the mood for the silly antics and wakes the girls up, elevating the level of uncomfortableness in the room further.
      • And finally, Taiyo and Hisashi, who took the first flight to Japan, arrive in the room as well, with Hisashi spotting his son in a bed with two girls and very embarrassedly trying to give him some privacy. What a busy morning the trio wakes up to.
      • As the parents leave the room for the kids to get dressed, Izuku notices that the girls are suddenly very embarrassed for some reason, and quickly flee the room when he calls them out on it. He looks around... and notices his morning erection, something that the two girls obviously spotted as well. It gets very hard for the three to make eye contact after that.
    • Hisashi takes a lot of fun in teasing Toshinori over his crush on Inko before revealing that they are divorced. It's very obvious that he is playing Shipper on Deck for them and Inko is very happy with his support. Once everyone starts to head out to work, he sheepishly explains that he needs to go back to the airport, because in his rush to check on Izuku, he completely forgot his lugagge back at the plane. You can see from which side of the family Izuku got his dorkiness from.
    • Class 1-A check in on each other in a new group chat. At one point Momo offers to stop by Izuku's place to make sure he's alright. However:
Izuku: i'm not at my apartment rn
    i'm at kendou's
    Mina: O_O
    Setsuna: O_O
    Pony: O_O
    wait why are we post
    ing this, what's going on
    Sero: O_O
    Eijiro: O_O
Itsuka: okay y'all shut the hell up
    uraraka's here too
    Awase: O_O
    Mina: oooooooooooooh 😏😏😏
Ochako: this groupchat was a mistake
    • Itsuka clears things up by insisting Izuku slept in another room... and tells Izuku and Ochako to keep quiet about her insisting they share a bed.
    • Also:
    Nejire: back!
just had to go grab a snack
    and pet my cat
    which took twenty minutes
    she's a siamese
    she likes to chat
    Mina: i mean
    so do you, hadou
    Nejire: yeppers!
    • The trio end up meeting a holographic Melissa, who is not pleased upon seeing the Full Gauntlet completely destroyed after Izuku's fight with Hood. Izuku notes that, even if she's on the other side of the planet, he can still feel a murderous intent coming from the young scientist.
    • While Izuku and Melissa are working in the garage, Ochako ends helping Itsuka with her motorcycle. And then bi panic hits her bad once Itsuka bends over to make some adjustments, and all the gravity girl can think of is reaching out to Itsuka's ass and giving it a good squeeze. Thankfully she snaps out of it in time and spends the next hour studying the floor.
    • The irony of Izuku invading Itsuka's personal space while going on his mumblings upon learning about One for All.
    • While thinking on what to watch to pass on time after watching a horror movie (that, from their reactions, none of them really enjoyed), Ochako suggests something lighthearted, like a puppet show or something along those lines. Itsuka then plays an episode of Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared. Both Ochako and Izuku are left traumatized, and Itsuka gets a punch on the arm from Ochako.
  • Chapter 20:
    • Izuku's She's Not My Girlfriend moment during his session with Tenko. Upon finding out that Izuku spent the weekend at Itsuka's place, Tenko came to the assumption that she was Izuku's girlfriend, which naturally confused him since Izuku had previously asked for a Thirteen autograph for Ochako.
    • To cut away from the awkward silence that the situation above created, Tenko mentions that Hana ran over his foot when he joked about being at the USJ during the attack. That actually lights up the mood.
    • Tensei, upon seeing Izuku surrounded by his three love interests, can't help but dryly remember that the high school complicated romances were what he clearly remembered from his own days at UA.
    • In order to get rid of Present Mic and check on his students after being forced to bedrest, Aizawa places a spider on his hand. Mic screams loud enough for the whole campus to hear.
    • Apparently, Yuyu has cemented herself as The Dreaded on Class 1-B, because as soon as Testsutetsu (who went to harass 1-A with the crowd) sees her, a massive Oh, Crap! shows up on his face.
    • All Might's advice to use One for All: feel it. Itsuka can't help but point out how screwed she is.
  • Chapter 21:
    • Yui and Setsuna are quite aware of Itsuka and Ochako's Unresolved Sexual Tension, which leads to the dialogue below.
      Setsuna: So … Yui.
      Yui: Mm.
Setsuna: I suppose we've gotta address the elephant in the room, right?
Yui: And what elephant would that be?
Setsuna: Well, how about we talk about the fact that we can't exactly pretend Uraraka down there hasn't been checking Ken out for the last two days in a row.
Yui: No, we can't, I'm actually kind of impressed - she's checked out Itsuka's ass more times than I have today.
Setsuna: Which … is admittedly kind of annoying, I thought I had this weird thing they're doing all figured out, with how much Ken's iching to climb Midoriya like a fucking tree, but … look, I'm dumb, but I'm not that dumb.
      Yui: You are pretty dumb.
      Setsuna: Shut up, dumbo.
Yui: Mm, you always know how to talk dirty to me, Set.
Setsuna:Okay, horny girl, calm down anyway, back to what I was saying - it's obvious how much Ken's crushing on Midoriya. And as much as I don't like to admit the existance of the opposite team, I know that Uraraka's probably liked Midoriya even longer than our girl has. But now we've got her and Ken blushing over each other more times than I could count today.
Yui: Mm-hm, something happened between these two.
Setsuna:That's exactly what I'm thinking, our two girls down there had something happen with each other. Something … perhaps a little … non-hetero.
Yui: Oooooh, that's something nice to think about. So what do you bet?
Setsuna: If I had to guess, based on what we've seen ... I'd say that sometime this weekend, our girl down there got into a situation with Uraraka that got a little … shall we say … lesbian in nature.
      Yui: Kissing?
Setsuna: Oh, please. The way Uraraka's been checking Ken out? They probably made out, and our little innocent bean got to cup a feel. Or they made out and she wished she got a feel.
Yui: Oooooooh, I'm so hurt she didn't tell us.
Setsuna: God, tell me about it. Ken down there probably got to suck face for the first time in her life, and she hasn't even told us about it! Especially when it was with another girl!
Yui: I was gonna say, this time last year I would've made a bet that it would be either you or me that eventually kissed Itsuka for the first time, right up until she met those two. And then it was just us counting down the minutes until she finally had enough and pinned Midoriya against a wall.
Setsuna:Yep, so it being Uraraka she's probably been making out with is kinda … well, it's a surprise, isn't it?
Yui: I mean, far be it from us to judge Itsuka for kissing girls, seeing as the both of us aren't exactly exclusively tied to boys.
Sestuna: That's true, but Ken's never shown an interest in guys or girls! And then Midoriya comes fumbling along and Ken's pretty much in denial about how much she wants to drag him into a broom closet and give her little sparring partner a few bruises along the neck.
      Yui: Ooooooooooooooh.
Setsuna: Calm down, horny girl. Anyway, one second she's awkwardly crushing on him, but then the next, she's calling Uraraka by her first name and holding her hand while Uraraka's been so busy checking out her ass, I'm surprised she hasn't walked into any walls. Something's obviously happened between these two, and it's killing me not to know.
Yui: Mm, so you're probably going to bug Itsuka about it, aren't you?
Setsuna: Oh, of course I am. Who do you think you're talking to?
Yui: Alright then, I should make sure you don't end up making things anymore awkward than they probably already are. How about after school on Friday, we can ask her to go out for dinner - I bet if we sat her down, we can get her to admit that she and Uraraka were being 'really good friends'.
      Setsuna: Just gals being pals.
Yui: Friends that totally kiss, platonically.
Setsuna: Silly Yui, it's not gay to kiss your best friend on the mouth.
Yui: You're so right. As long as they say 'no homo' before -
Kyouka:Okay, I get it. Please, stop, both of you.
Setsuna: I mean, in that case, Jirou, if you don't want us talking about Ken and Uraraka, we can do that! How about we chat about why you seemed so excited to join us for lunch yesterday with Yao-
(Kyouka runs away as fast as she can.)
    • Mixed with heartwarming, one of the reasons that Izuku decides to tell Ochako and Itsuka about All Might's prank is to make sure they don't rip his and All Might's heads off when they realize that they intentionally forced them to go through what he did with Hood again. When he informs All Might of this, it's pretty clear that the Number One Hero Didn't Think This Through.
      • All Might also tells Izuku, before he launches himself at Class 1A disguised as a villain, that they'll all have a laugh about it afterwards. Smash Cut to All Might being kicked by half the class and Izuku being reprimanded by the other half, before they all drag Izuku off for his match with Mirio as a form of revenge.
    • Arriving at the gym for the spar against Mirio, the class ends up meeting the rest of the Big Three. The three of them explain their respective roles during the fight: Mrio will fight Izuku, Himiko will be there to make sure Izuku doesn't hurt himself, and Amajiki... will be there for emotional support. Which leads to this exchange:
Setsuna: Er … emotional support … for who?
Mirio: Eh - kinda for me, kinda for him, that kinda thing.
      Tamaki: I wanna go home.
Mirio: After this, buddy! Now then, Midoriya - come at me!
    • Tenko forgot to mention that Mirio's Quirk will allow him to fight Izuku unharmed, so Himiko makes fun of him by making it look like he hadn't thought it through. Tenko can only blush in embarrassment.
    • Mirio excitedly telling Izuku to shoot him in the face.
    • Once the match is underway, Izuku accidentally blasts at Mirio and causes Mirio's quirk to activate - and he ends up flashing the entire audience. Cue half the class looking away, Tokoyami and Yanagi immediately leaving, and Eijirou suddenly realizing that he has a lot to think about.
    • The chapter ends with Izuku and Nejire setting up a training session on the beach before the weekend, only for Izuku to be left mortified when Nejire refers to their training as a date.
  • Chapter 22 has Izuku's first date with Nejire, chalked full of hilarity:
    • Izuku is very clearly in a panic as he realizes that not only will he have to go on a 'maybe date' with Nejire, but it'll be at a beach - and is freaking out about the possibility of seeing his obviously beautiful classmate in a bikini. He also tries to reassure himself that he isn't dense around women - which causes both Ochako and Itsuka to wake up with sneezes on two different sides of Musutafu.
    • Izuku's talk with Hisashi is both heartwarming and hilarious as it's clear that Hisashi's trying to figure out if his son is going on a date with either Ochako or Itsuka - only to be caught flatfooted when it turns out that he's going on 'date' with someone he's never heard of.
Hisashi: ... who the hell is Hadou?
    • Hisahsi's advice to his son ultimately boils down to: "be yourself, pay attention to her, make sure that she's having a fun time, and not letting her handle the bill by herself."
    • Once they do get to the beach, Izuku spends a good amount of time trying to find the courage to come out of the bathroom and speak to Nejire - only for him to do so, and the first look at Nejire's revealing bikini causes him to almost head right back inside.
    • On the other side of things, Ochako ends up running into her own Ms. Fanservice problems when she comes up to the nurse's office to find Himiko and ask her to train her for stealth, only to find Himiko in the midst of getting changed, leaving Ochako embarrassed and Himiko teasing her. And then, when Himiko drags Ochako off to train, she only has this to think:
    • Itsuka, meanwhile, gets dragged off by Setsuna and Yui to finally be confronted on what happened with Ochako, causing a lot of sputtering and denials. And then, when her two best friends confront her about her feelings for Izuku, Itsuka practically blue screens, before quickly launching into denials and later slowly realizes, to her horror, that she does find Izuku at the very least physically attractive, such a simple thought leaving Itsuka a flustered mess.
    • Yui, naturally, wants to know if Itsuka and Ochako touched each other's butts.
    • Itsuka mentions that one of the things she remembers the most about the kiss is how smooth Ochako's hair was, and wondering what kind of conditioner she uses. Setsuna can only practically roll her eyes at the obvious crush.
    • While discussing the possibility of being bisexual, Itsuka asks Setsuna and Yui when the two of them realized they were into girls. Setsuna says it was when she saw Mirko restrain a guy with her legs and wished she was in the guy's position, while Yui says it happened back in middle school, when Mina wore tights for her break dancing competition.
    • Yui makes it clear to Setsuna that she is crushing on Tenya, and warns her friend to stay away from him or else she will shave Set's head. Setsuna simply laughs her off by saying she would look great bald.
    • Nejrie asks Izuku if he checked her out in her bikini. Mastering all of his courage and trying not to sound like a perv, Izuku admits so. To his shock, Nejire is actually glad that he did so. Naturally, the start of Chapter 23 has him going into a massive Madness Mantra:
Izuku: What does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean, what does that mean, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!
  • Chapter 23:
    • To his horror, Izuku realizes that he forgot his father's advice and did not end up helping pay the bill for the dinner he and Nejire ate.
    • While asking for help with Eri, Itsuka ends up leaving a message in the group chat saying that she kidnapped a child.
    • Before everyone goes to sleep, Itsuka ends up watching Izuku in a half-dressed state (his shirt with the top unbuttoned and his sleeves rolled up), and she spends several moments clearly and reluctantly Eating the Eye Candy.
    • Tenohira is very annoyed over the fact that there is another girl interested in Izuku, making her efforts to pair him and Itsuka up even more complicated.
    • Gūdo invading Aizawa's personal space when he shows up to see Eri. Not only he is annoyed because he can't do anything with his arms in casts to push the dog off, but it's also because he prefers cats.
  • Chapter 24:
    • The first lines of the chapter describes UA as having a rather quiet and peaceful morning ... that is swiftly interrupted by Izuku firing blasts of lightning into the sky, causing all the birds to fly off in a panic.
    • Melissa makes it clear that if Izuku damages the Full Gauntlet again, she will take the first flight to Japan and kick his ass. Izuku is too terrified to do anything other than agree to her terms.
    • Izuku and the girls belatedly realized the 'kidnapped a child' conversation was on the main class chat. When they wake up, they're greeted with panicked texts from their friends about what had occurred, ranging from Tenya declaring Itsuka's actions unbecoming of a class rep (and that there are better options for helping homeless children) to Yuuyu wondering how leaving Nejire unattended for an evening got her mixed up in kidnapping.
    • Gran Torino arrives and attempts to pull his senile act on the kids, only for All Might to cut it short. Apparently, he has the habit of doing this to Tenko and Hana as well.
    • Izuku realizes that the way Nejire's quirk works is similar to One for All's, and has the idea to talk to Nejire about how she gets her quirk to work to help out Itsuka - only for both girls to point out that of all the people they had to talk about the secret of OFA, Nejire the Constantly Curious may not be the best idea.
    • There's also another Smash Cut when All Might reveals that Nezu wants to have a meeting with Itsuka:
Itsuka: Huh? Principal Nezu? Uh - what about? Is everything okay?
All Might: I'm sure it is, he didn't specify what we'll be talking about, but I'm sure you're not in trouble, Young Kendou. Everything is probably fine.
      (Smash Cut to later)
Principal Nezu: I will be frank with you, Kendou, I have summoned you to my office today to consider having you pull out of the sports festival this year.
(All Might chokes on his tea)
    • Nezu starts to go off on a tangent about his tastes in tea before Tenko and All Might interrupt him. It's clear that if nobody is willing to do so, Nezu will go on about it for hours.
    • Itsuka admits her favorite tea bland is green tea. Smooth Itsuka, really smooth.
    • The small meeting brings up the possibility of having Itsuka dye her hair like Tenko does to disguise herself. Itsuka is reluctant to do so, however, as she does like her hair as is - only to change her mind when she hears that, if she does step down, the one giving the speech at the start of the festival would be Bakugou, and realizing that he would just ruin everything if he was allowed to speak on behalf of their class causes Itsuka to change her mind at once.
    • The Running Gag of everyone talking about the Full Gauntlet exploding while Izuku was wearing it, much to his squirmishness.
    • While training in stealth, Himiko and Ochako spot Tenya and Yui talking about a better time to acknowledge their mutual crush. It's a heartwarming moment... until Yui decides to call the meeting by asking if Tenya wants to touch her ass. Tenya is gobsmacked.
  • Chapter 25:
    • Inko finally met Eri in the morning before the three families left for the Sports Festival. To the surprise of absolutely no one, she nearly flooded the Kendo's place with tears upon witnessing Eri's cuteness.
    • Aizawa, out of all people, casually mentioning All Might and Inko's Ship Tease and leaving Izuku gobsmacked.
    • Ryukyu and Mirko, in civilian outfits, are attending the Festival. Ryukyu is looking for interns and she dragged Mirko along because having an intern and stop acting like a lone wolf Blood Knight is gonna be good for her image. Mirko, being Mirko, is too impatient and just keeps thumping her foot on the floor, annoying her friend (and possible girlfriend). Ryukyu manages to convince Mirko to consider the idea by giving her Puppy-Dog Eyes, and the Rabbit Hero gives in, much to Ryukyu's happiness.
    • Midnight appears to host the Festival. Miwa and Tenohira give their husband a not-at-all-subtle glare warning them to Ignore the Fanservice, to which they immediately comply. Hisashi, being the only single man in the audience, simply finds it amusing.
    • The Obstacle Race, might as well as a massive overkill. Floating platforms, robots, and rubber cannonballs are being shot from every direction. And at the end of the line, Nezu's smiling face.
    • The Brick Joke from chapter 10. It's clear Present Mic and Midnight are not ready to let it go.
Robot: It is him, the murderer of Villain Bot Serial Number 1678323!
Ochako: The … murderer of who?
      Izuku: I … I don't even know.
    • Bakugo decides to take Itsuka out of the fight and solve their one-sided rivalry. Itsuka, for her turn, decides it's time for a long-awaited In-Universe Catharsis and uses this opportunity to kick Bakugo square in the face. Tenohira wonders if they won't have to apologize to Bakugo's parents for it, but Miwa assures her that it won't be necessary. One Gilligan Cut later and she is absolutely right:
Mitsuki: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAA!
Masaru: Dear, I'm sure it's not that funny.
Mitsuki: You kiddin'?! Look at his face! Thank fuck we're recording this, I'm gonna print that out and frame that face on the wall!
    • Izuku comes up with a plan to cross the field and catch up with the rest of the students: Have Ochako turn off his gravity, fire a blast on the floor, and launch themselves in the air with the blast's impulse. They go through with it, except, there's one, or rather three, problems: 1) The Full Gauntlet was specifically designed to lower the firepower of Izuku's quirk, but that didn't mean the blasts it did fire out weren't still extremely powerful. 2) Izuku and Ochako, being weightless, could be easily pushed around by anything, from strong winds to a simple push from one of their classmates, and 3)Izuku wasn't exactly aiming directly backwards - since they were floating up in the air, so instead of aiming directly behind him at the zero-pointer Shouto destroyed, he was aiming at the ground directly below them. So, with all of those points summarized up, that meant that instead of being shot straight over the second obstacle like a bullet, easily avoiding the cables - they were instead sent up. Straight up. Nearly into orbit.
    • Bakugo laughs off the two friends' disastrous plan...only to get hit right in the face by a cannonball.
    • The Consortium is watching the Festival as well. As soon as Izuku and Ochako's plan backfires, Chimera is left roaring with laughter, and even Nine chuckles a bit.
    • After crashing into the finishing line, Nejire shows up to check on Izuku. Noticing he is okay, the girl promptly gives him a very tight hug. Miwa and Tenohira are not at all happy with his development.
    • The teams for the second event are displayed: Izuku and Ochako are on the same team as Bakugo and Mineta, while Itsuka is on the same team as Todoroki, Shinso, and Monoma. The three friends silently agree that This Is Gonna Suck.
  • Chapter 26:
    • Tenko being oblivious to All Might's Ship Tease with Inko. Thirteen says she will explain it to him when he gets older, to which Tenko points out that she is only ten years older than him.
    • Hana bought Gran Torino a cellphone as a Christmas gift, but the broke it after one week because it was too noisy.
    • Melissa is watching the Festival and is very glad that the Full Gauntlet doesn't seems like is going to explode. The young inventor finds herself in an embarrassing situation of Eating the Eye Candy when she realizes she can use the opportunity of a trip to Japan to make adjustments to the Gaunlet and Izuku's suit... and maybe feel his butt a bit.
    • As soon as the Tag Game begins, Itsuka's team finds themselves in a compromising position. Since Yui and Setsuna's teams are the lowest score ones, the lizard girl purposed an alliance between the two of them, meaning they will have to fight a team of sixteen people, instead of two teams of eight. For the second time that day, Itsuka is hit with the realization that This Is Gonna Suck.
  • Chapter 27:
    • Tenya reveals he withheld information about his Quirk (his Recipro Burst technique), which invalidates a lot of Izuku's analysis. The boy, who considers his analysis Serious Business, is giving the speedster a genuinely scary glare, which prompts Ochako to pull him aside and talk her friend out of making an interrogation in the middle of the event or mailing him a box of spiders, because the last time they did so, Mitsuki nearly ripped their heads off. Apparently, that was retribution for a time when Bakugo pushed her into the mud, and the explosive teen is still afraid of spiders until this day.
    • Hatsume reveals she lost her index and thumb in an accident when she was young. Rather than be traumatized, she actually looks forward to having more body parts replaced with cybernetics. Even Bakugo is creeped out by her.
    • Kirishima and Tetsutetsu meet during the second event and decide is time to settle their differences once and for all. Itsuka can't help but remark that Eijiro had his shonen hero arc when nobody was looking and it seems he will finally face off against his rival.
    • This exchange... whether is accidental or Itsuka's is letting her thirst take over while no one is looking, is up to you to decide:
Itsuka: Putting myself on top of Izuku and Ochako was never going to be a problem.
    • Once Ochako is cornered by Nejire, Mei uses her vocal command to bring the jetpack back to their hiding spot. With Ochako still attached to it. Meaning the poor girl gets dragged across the skies at high speeds, without her consent, so her only reaction is to unleash a Cluster F-Bomb that is caught on by the stadium's microphones. Her parents are embarrassed and Mirko is laughing her ass off.
    • Ochako and Izuku end up crashing into each other while escaping Itsuka and Todoroki. This leads to a very sweet moment of the two of them are completely lost in each other's eyes. Which, much like everything else happening, is caught on camera and leads to this exchange:
Miwa: (to a very annoyed Tenohira) Look at how they were staring at each other, look at those longing gazes. That's love, bitch.
    • Of course, she's forced to eat those words up when Izuku and Itsuka find themselves in the exact same situation a couple of minutes later.
Tenohira: (poking Miwa in the shoulder after Izuku and Itsuka are caught smiling to each other on camera) Hey, look at that. (Beat) Look at how my daughter is smiling at him. (Beat) Look how he's smiling back at her. (Beat) That's love, bitch.
      Miwa: Fuck you.
    • After recovering from Monoma's Cavalry Betrayal, Itsuka snaps a tree in anger. Each students have interesting reactions:
Shoto: Avoid her hits when she uses her quirk.
Monoma: Watch out for the hand chops.
Izuku and Ochako: God, I wish I was that tree.
    • After the event ends, Momo is upset because she did not get the chance to shoot her cannon.
    • Dark Shadow being Shipper on Deck for Reiko and Tokoyami:
Dark Shadow: Fumi did a lot! I did a lot too, but he was super awesome! Wish you could've seen him, Yanagi, we were all cool and sexy and that jazz!
  • Chapter 28:
    • Per canon, Todoroki asks if Ituska is All Might's secret love child, and even after seeing a live photo from the Kendos' Christmas Party, the boy is still not fully convinced.
    • Kirishima comments he is upset that Tetsutetsu won't make it to the next round, but the steel boy (crying Manly Tears) assures him that is all fine. Apparently, it only took one hour of friendship for the both of them to become brothers in all but blood.
    • Hatsume grabs Tenya before their match so they can "make babies". We are left with this exchange:
Yui: I'll cut a bitch, Set.
Setsuna: I know you will, honey.
Yui: Babies and … no, fuck it, I'm cutting a bitch, let me go.
  • Chapter 29:
    • While panicking at Nejire mentioning One for All, Itsuka pins the other girl to the wall, holding her hand over Nejire's mouth. As she tries to process how to respond, Nejire snaps her out of her panic... by licking Itsuka's hand. Even Nejire is embarrassed over doing that (it's an automatic response when Yuuyu covers her mouth).
    • Itsuka being gobsmacked over Nejire being nice enough to not bother her with questions about One for All after refusing to answer at the moment. She even more shocked when Nejire tells her she should ask Izuku out too.
    • Once again, Midnight is... doing her thing. Teko occupies himself with the task of covering Eri's sight while Taiyo and Hashuku find themselves admiring their shoes, to avoid getting on their wives bad side.
    • Per canon, Mei truns her match into a advertising session for her inventions, which Midnight can't help but feel like she is the one to blame for the whole mess to begin with.
    • Izuku has, once again, has the brilliant idea of getting Mei's attention by saying the Full Gaunlet alone is better than all her inventions. It works, painfully well, with Mei restraining Izuku and paying no mind while Ochako goes behind her back while trash-talking the Gaunlet. Meanwhile, in I-Island, Melissa is seething with rage, while David is suddenly very glad he did not went along with his plan to steal the amplifier.
    • After tossing Mei off the ring, Izuku and Ochako face off against Tenya, who proves himself to be quite a match for the both of them. Ochako manages to temporarily halt him by stealing his glasses, but them accidentally drops them on the floor and breaks them. Tenya is naturally annoyed... only to pull a spare pair from his pockets.
    • While this interaction is happening, Setsuna flatly questions Yui if Tenya really is the guy she wants. Her answer, of courese:
Yui: Honestly, the fact he keeps spare glasses in his pocket just makes him cuter to me.
      Kyoka:… good lord, woman.
  • Chapter 30:
    • After putting the subject of One for All in a drawer for the moment, Itsuka and Nejire have spent the last hour and a half they were suppose to be preparing for their fisrt match talking about Itsuka's crush on Izuku and Ochako, finally getting to the latter kiss with Itsuka at the USJ.
Itsuka: Like … we just almost died, and I wasn't thinking at all about it, just - just her, and … and … fuck, it was such a hot fucking kiss. Like, our tongues were wrestling, and her hair was so freaking soft, and there was - er, anyway, after that, Izuku broke out of the conflagration zone, and we just kinda broke apart -
Nejire: Oh, but what if he didn't? Would you two have kept kissing? Making out? French kissing? W-whatever you call it! Would you have?
Itsuka: I … I don't know. M-maybe? Probably? Y-yeah, probably. I mean, I probably would've - but wait, then Yaoyorozu and Jirou came down, so they probably would've caught us … you know … sucking each other's souls out with our mouths. S-so the kiss was probably going to end even if Izuku hadn't interrupted us. (Smacks her head on the table and groans) Fucking Izuku, interrupting my hot kiss with Ochako, and then being all cute and hot afterwards. That fucking … fuck.
    • Itsuka starts to panic when Izuku texts her and Ochako wanting to talk. Nejire has some wise words help her calm down:
Nejire: Come on, it'll be fine! This is good! Midoriya and Uraraka are gonna come talk to you! Isn't that what you want? You wanna be done with how awkward it is between you guys, right? You told me that! Well, this is your chance to clear the air!
Itsuka:I - I don't know, Hadou, I don't know if - what if I'm not ready to face Ochako? The last time we saw each other, I was yelling at her one second and then kissing her the next, and - and - god, I don't even know what's going on with me right now, and why I keep bouncing from Izuku to Ochako and back again!
Nejire: Bisexuality, I know it well.
    • Dark Shadow beats Mineta up after he makes innapropriate comments about the girls, specially Reiko, and even though Fumikage admonishes his Quirk for it, it's clear he is not that upset.
    • Mei accidentally saves Izuku from a tense interrogation at Curious' hands by chasing Ochako until the corner they find themselves at.
    • Shinso's fate can earn a few laughs, specially with how, much of a jackass he has been since before and during the Festival. Not even a full second into his match against Shoto and Momo, Shoto buries him under a glacier, leaving only his arm and half of his face exposed.
    • Itsuka can't help but find Izuku's Awesomeness by Analysis prior to her match incredibly hot.
    • Monoma's defeat is also another hillarious moment of Catharsis Factor. He goes on one of his taunting monologues only for Itsuka to go behind him and karate chop his neck. She even points out she didn't hit him that hard.
    • After Nine has another bad reaction to his Quirk and pukes out blood and other dark fluids, Kurogiri decides to pull his Servile Snarker skills to practice.
Kurogiri: May I offer you a mint?
    • Ippan meets up with Gentle following her latest information eavasdrop on the Consortium. The Gentle Vigilante, however, is more busy recalling one of his past adventures to La Brava to notice his colleague. La Brava, for her turn, is squealing with delight over Gentle's story (from an earpierce mind you), loud enough for Ippan to hear her, from the other side of the roof. Talk about No Indoor Voice.
      • La Brava expresses annoyance over Gentle havingt to work with another girl during a mission. Gentle even drops his fake british accent to reassure her, so you know is serious.
  • Chapter 31:
    • On her way to check on Yuyu, Nejire wonders over all the recent revelations that happened and how nice it is that the main trio is finally getting a hand over their feelings... until her mind starts to explore some very non-platonic thoughts, like how Itsuka is kind, thoughtul, fun to talk, very adorable and had a booty that Nejire kind of wanted to pinch. The last one, of course causes her to do a Double Take. Of course, she decides not dwell on these toughts too much. For now, at least.
And … well, Nejire knew that Itsuka was a cutie. She was beautiful, and confident, and her chest was almost as big as Nejire's, although not as big as Momo's, and had such full, kissy lips, and a butt that looked really nice in a skirt, and …
      … and …
… and these were … not very platonic thoughts.
      (Beat)
… thoughts for later, Nejire decided then and there with a touch of redness on her face. Itsuka had enough on her plate at the moment, Nejire didn't need to dump anything else on her right now. But these were thoughts that needed to be explored!
      Later.
      Maybe in her room.
      When alone.
      Maybe.
    • Right before their match against Bakugo and Fumikage, Izuku's Quirk is still not working properly, until Itsuka gives both him and Ochako a peck on he cheek, which causes Izuku's arm to have boos of electricity and revigorates his energy. Smooth, Izuku. Really smooth.
    • The four contenders attempt to make Rocky Roll Call before the match. Until...
      Bakugo:Deku.
      Izuku: K-Kacchan.
      Ochako: Bakugou.
      Dark Shadow: Dark Shadow!
    • During the match, Bakugo kicks the Full Gaunlet with enough strenght to crack it in the middle. Melissa yells out a Precision F-Strike that causes a fearful David to take another turn to the bathroom.
    • After being defeated, Dark Shadow, who had been quite vicious fighter during their match, tells Ochako to be careful and that violence solves nothing. It's hard to tell if the Quirk was trying to make a joke or if just a ironically genuine advice.
  • Chapter 32:
    • The chapter begins with the vigilantes comunicating at an online group chat. Even though this is supposed to a serious moment, like a briefing a la Call of Duty, it quickly takes a comedic turn.
Ippan:WE'RE BONED WE'RE SO SO BONED
Twice: oh, that's not good You shouldn't be so down on your luck!
La Brava: Gentle! Can you see my messages? Don't worry, everything's encrypted, so no one should be able to read this! Besides the interlopers already in the chat, of course
Gentle: I can see them, my dear! And oh, how I have missed you!
      Ippan: WE'RE FUCKED
La Brava: I've missed you too, Gentle! It's been too long! Please come back asap!
Pop☆Step: it's,only been four hours since they've left and you two have been talking over the comms btw just to throw it out there, no real names on this channel, guys, stick to codenames
Gentle: The amount of time we've spent apart is irrelevant, my dear Pop! My love for La Brava is so fierce, even ten minutes of separation is unbearable!
La Brava:… even if you were off flirting with the new girl?
Gentle:… my dear, that was taken very much out of context
Ippan: IS NO ONE READING MY MESSAGES, WE'RE FUCKED!
Leader: I'm reading your messages, Ordinary Girl Don't worry, I'm taking this very seriously
La Brava: … really now? Because from what I can see on your phone screen, it seems that you've been doing nothing but watching either the sports festival or this
      LB posted: midnightsquirm.gif
      Leader:… et tu, la brava
Twice: eh? that midnight woman? she's beautiful! can't blame you leader! she's disgusting!
Pop☆Step: ew, seriously?! come on, leader!
Leader: okay, I don't wanna hear this from the person who thinks Skycrawler is attractive
Pop☆Step: oh so you're fucking dead when I next see you
      Leader: I regret nothing!
      Ippan: guysssss!
    • La Brava mentions that something happened at the bar that caused Nine to jump out of his seat in excitement. Given the timeframe, it's likely during the moment Izuku copied Shoto's ice and froze Bakugo in it. Think about this: Nine, the stone cold and calculating leader of the Villain Consortium, leaping out his seat like a toddler that just got news that school is canceled for the week. Talk about being Not So Stoic.
    • Twice's questions over what is inside the files they downloaded from the Inner Circle server:
Twice: Oooh! What files are there? Are they scandalous? Top secret? End of the word stuff? Is it porn?
    • The mood around the infirmary after the trio's families are clear to see Izuku and Ochako is rather somber given how hurt the both of them got early... until Eri causes a Mood Whiplash by slapping Izuku in the cheek to wake him up. And it works.
    • In order to cheer her crushes up over being disqualified of the Festival, as well the news of Izuku's newfound problem with the cell degeneration, Itsuka gives the both of them a friend smooch. Unfortunely, she forgot that Eri was with them, so now the three of them need to explain it to her. Izuku explains it's something that you do when you are good friends with someone, which prompts Eri to question if he and Ochako will give one to Itsuka as well.
Eri: Deku, aren't you gonna friend smooch her?
      Izuku:I - wha -?
Eri: She friend smooched you. And Hira told me that if someone does something nice for you, it's good if you do something nice for them, like, she gave me a hug, and later I gave her a hug. So if Ken friend smooches you, you should friend smooch her back.
      • Someone in the comment section pointed out that this kind of leap of logic is exactly how Eri ended up with two boyfriends a decade later, and it can all be blamed on Izuku and Tenohira.
    • Upon meeting Izuku again after the match, Nejire proceeds to scold him for being so reckless... by giving him her own version of "Danger Pout".
    • The trio's plans to meet at the beach next day and sort out their feelings come to a halt when All Might shows up... and proceeds to traumatize them all. You see, in order to cheer up the mood from the intense fight between Izuku and Bakugo, All Might came with idea for all first years to perform a cheerleader number during the break. Small problem. All Might is leading the number. And so you can imagine the sight of the Number One Hero in such ridiculous oufit and cringe with it.
    • Unlike All Might, the boys like Denki and Kirishima actually manage to pull a Wholesome Crossdresser number, while reluctant students like Kyoka and Yosetsu only accepted this idea because of the promise of bonus credit.
    • Mina overhears Itsuka's beach idea and decides that it would be a good idea to check it out. And soon enough, most of Class 1-A and 1-B invite themselves for the beach gathering, throwing a wrench on the trio's plan to solve their tension.
    • All Might advises Izuku to not check social media, because apparently, his performance led to him becoming a Memetic Mutation, much to the boy's shock.
  • Chapter 33:
    • With the last round upon them, Itsuka and Nejire are trying to get ready for the final match against Shouto and Momo ... or they would be, if Itsuka wasn't throwing a mini-tantrum over her date plans with Izuku and Ochako being ruined by Class 1A butting in. Nejire has to consciously stop herself from giggling over Itsuka's ranting.
    • Nejire also decides to give Itsuka a quick 'friend smooch', and drags her out into the open so that Itsuka can't melt down or demand answers out of her. Itsuka is very quick to point threateningly at Nejire, making it clear that she's in for it afterwards.
    • Itsuka's attempt to get Shouto to talk about what's bothering him ... basically amounts to her asking him for a quick time out. Shouto answers her with an extra barrage of ice.
  • Chapter 41:
    • When looking over Eri's requests for the Heights Alliance house, one of the suggestions is for a pool. All Might suggests not letting Nezu find out, lest he and Cements take it as a challenge to build a pool in one night... only for the intercom to briefly turn on, letting Nezu's laughter into the room before shutting off. Everyone resigns themselves to getting a pool.
