Just Another Night at Freddy's is a series of Five Nights at Freddy's fanfics written by the author DeltaV; the series is much, much happier than its inspiration, but, of course, is often subject to becoming a Cerebus Rollercoaster, as you would expect from a fanfic of this series.

The story begins a grand total of two weeks after the seventh night, and Mike has started visiting Freddy Fazbear's Pizza during the day. Surprisingly, this helps, as his presence in the day allows the animatronics to realize he's not an endoskeleton out of costume, a welcome relief from the seemingly unending horde of endos that don't know the rules. So, of course, things are relatively fine; the animatronics can't tell Mike because, well, the doors and all, so they settle for messing with him every now and then.

The plot kicks off when Mike falls asleep on the job, an action that would have gotten him killed if the animatronics were still trying to get in for the whole suit-stuffing thing. Luckily, they're not, so instead... Foxy just steals Mike's keys and gets out.

And everything changes - mostly for the better - as Mike is forced to go to the animatronics for help, an action that ultimately may pave the way for the restaurant's survival.

This fanfiction series contains examples of:

• Accidental Murder: As per the game several people end up dead via getting stuffed into suits. However, it turns out the robots really do think the people they've done this to are endoskeletons out-of-costume. They're horrified when they realize the guards have all been humans.
• Adaptational Heroism: As What Came Before showcases, The Marionette, or Marion, seems significantly less sinister this time around, being genuinely friendly towards the animatronics and wanting nothing to do with Golden Freddy. Quite a change from the run-of-the-mill Eldritch Abomination it— sorry, he usually is.^note Near the end of it, he's revealed to be just an ordinary haunted puppet... and also Phone Guy. Phone Guy. Adaptational Heroism indeed.
  • Of course, the animatronics as a whole count as this, having been switched from Homicide Machines suffering a severe, irreversible case of He Who Fights Monsters to initially Obliviously Evil animatronics that Grew Beyond Their Programming to a massive extent and are thoroughly friendly. Assuming you don't kidnap, harm or threaten one of them, or one of their friends, of course.
• And I Must Scream: The animatronics are fully aware with what Golden Freddy’s reprogramming is forcing them to do and incapable of doing otherwise, with Chica being hit the worst.
  • Foxy in Competition is set up as the villain to the Pizza Baron show. He's aware the entire time. Needless to say, Foxy gets to take out all of that regret-fueled rage on Christina
• Animated Adaptation: Chapter six of For the Fans follows the creation of a Freddy Fazbear television special in the mid-80s over the span of several months. In typical Fazbear Entertainment tradition, it ends up having a rather strange Troubled Production involving Foxy helping one of the main guys behind the project goof off at every given opportunity and the animatronics being asked to voice themselves when they fail to find suitable actors.
• Annoying Younger Sibling: BB. Averted with the Toy animatronics, who aren't really bothered, but played straight with Mike, who gets annoyed after mere minutes of BB's presence.
• The Atoner: Several of Marion's reasons for helping Mike survive the night at the old restaurant include how Golden Freddy forced him to help with the first set of murders along with wanting to save the other animatronics.
• Badass Crew: By the time of Competiton, the Fazbear Gang is pretty well established as this.
• Bad Boss: Subverted with Arianna, who's more along the lines of being overly strict more than anything, but played brutally straight for Trout.
• Badass in Distress: This is the entire plot of Competition: Foxy and Mike are kidnapped by a competitor, Pizza Baron, and now the others have to go get them back. People die.
• Berserk Button:
  • Apart from the animatronics' shared button of tormenting children or threatening their friends, Foxy does not take well to being touched or Pirate Cove getting damaged or otherwise altered, as does Chica to the kitchen. They don't take people upsetting Bonnie well, either.
  • Goldie really hates being called Eddy.
• Beware the Nice Ones: The animatronics are relatively friendly, if rather creepy, and certainly not keen on harming people. Even just threatening to harm one of their number, or one of their friends, will spell your end.^note Christina found that out the hard way.
• Big Good: Marion is shaping up into being this, especially because he's the only haunted animatronic.
• invokedBizarro Episode: The real third chapter of For the Fans takes place during a solar storm, and the animatronics' personalities are left distorted after an electromagnetic surge - Freddy becomes The Klutz, Bonnie takes a massive level in jerkass, Chica becomes a Team Mom who is exceptionally kinder than before, and Foxy loses his pirate accent and becomes a Nervous Wreck.
• Bloodier and Gorier: The author has absolutely nothing against putting in the blood and the gore that Scott Cawthon himself opted to leave out, which can be... unpleasant, considering some of the series' signature scenes.
• Blood-Splattered Innocents: Bonnie is drenched in fake blood after she's forced to reenact the Bite for a movie in For the Fans.
• Body Horror: Foxy and Mangle's wear-and-tear aside, all of the main animatronics are damaged to the point of resembling their FNAF2 appearances while trying to fight off Golden Freddy.
• Brain Food:
  • As per Five Nights at Freddy's canon, the Bite of '87. Also, in Competition, ultimately the way Christina dies.
  • In the fourth chapter of For the Fans, the movie producers get the bright idea of reenacting the Bite. Understandably, the animatronics are very uncomfortable about this, especially Foxy and Bonnie.
• Brainwashed and Crazy: In What Came Before, Golden Freddy reprograms the animatronics to go after Mike, though he manages to snap them out of it via a fire extinguisher to the head or talking them out of it, and the Marionette actively helps him from the start, and eventually gives him a hiding spot.
• Break the Cutie: Bonnie bursts into hysterics when the animatronics realise that the endoskeletons they've been suiting up have been humans all along. Later on during the forth chapter of For the Fans, she's forced to reenact the Bite of '87 for a movie as the producers are under the belief that she was the culprit despite Foxy's protests, and she does not take it well, especially since she has to bite down on a dummy that bursts with a torrent of fake blood. Fortunately, this doesn't tarnish her new friendship with the young actress who played the bite victim, even after the animatronics are discovered not to be costumed humans.
• Break the Haughty: Freddy's 'method' of dealing with Trout in Competition. The latter emerges pale and silent.
• Bring My Brown Pants: Following the above incident, Mike discovers that Trout pissed himself in terror.
• Bruiser with a Soft Center: Foxy is by far the most aggressive of the animatronics and as mentioned above there are a myriad of ways to set him off. However, out of all of them he's probably the best with children and prone to breaking down into a sobbing wreck when something happens to them, especially if he's responsible, intentionally or otherwise.
• Brutal Honesty: In For the Fans, when Wes Harding, the director of the horror film based on the pizzeria, figures out the animatronics are robots (they were pretending to be actors in the suits), he begins asking if everything was true. Mike gives him the cold, hard truth.
  Harding: The real animatronics?
  Mike: That's right.
  Harding: And did they actually...?
  Mike: Yes.
  Harding: And the guards?
  Mike: Technically not their fault, but yes.
  Harding: And the ghosts?
  Mike: Bullshit.
  Harding: And biting that kid?
  Mike: It was actually some guy, and it was that one. (points at Foxy)
• Cassandra Truth: The animatronics fail to convince the authorities that they're not costumed humans when they get arrested for accidentally calling 911 while trying to call Mike. That all changes once the police try to remove their suits.
• Cerebus Rollercoaster: This is a Five Nights at Freddy's fanfic. Horror is inevitable. That said, it's usually only every now and then, though Competition spent significantly longer in the Darker and Edgier half of the Rollercoaster then most of the other stories. And with Golden Freddy, Five Nights at Freddy's official Knight of Cerebus, finally having been introduced in What Came Before, it wound up taking the series an entire story to get back to the Lighter and Softer half of the coaster.
• Cheerful Child: Bonnie and BB are these in their respective groups.
• Corrupt Corporate Executive: Damon Trout, owner of Pizza Baron.
• Cruel and Unusual Death: Also as per Five Nights at Freddy's canon, being stuffed into an animatronic suit. Except it's not offscreen this time. Word of God also said that Trout was originally going to be written out this way, at the hands of the Pizza Baron animatronics.
• invokedCreator Breakdown: Parodied with the April Fools' Day chapter in For the Fans.
• Cuddle Bug: Bonnie loves giving out hugs, but woe betide anyone on the receiving end.
• Cute Mute: Springtrap is as friendly and innocent as a deteriorated and formerly corpse-ridden robot rabbit can be, but fails to speak a single word. Truman ends up having to rely on his phone to provide audio-based scares for him when Fazbear's Fright finally opens.
• A Day in the Limelight: Night Seven, For the Fans is comprised of one-shots focusing on minor characters. So far, the first chapter revolves around the Pizza Baron animatronics and to a lesser extent Jeremy, while the second chapter focuses on the Toy animatronics.
• Deadly Euphemism: Following the kitchen fire in Parental Guidance and the occupation of Pirate Cove with what appliances survived, Arianna’s response to Mike about Foxy's fate is that he's going to be retired (read: scrapped). Thankfully, she allows him to keep Foxy at his apartment during the day while the kitchen is being repaired.
• Deadpan Snarker: Chica loves her sarcasm nearly as much as she loves cooking.
• Death of a Child: The murdered children as in canon, except they found the bodies. Similarly to how the second game's death minigames suggested a second set of five murdered children, a similar incident occured in the 1980 pizzeria. The cake minigame's murder is also referenced in Goldie's biography in For the Fans, when an intoxicated Fredbear's employee accidentally hit a baby in a stroller with their car. The infant survived, but the lawsuits practically broke the diner and resulted in Goldie's repossession.
• Demonic Possession: The animatronics pretend to be possessed as part of the plan to scare the magazine publisher in What Came Before into giving up the writer's details.
  • They also attempt to pull this off on Chelsea, Mike's replacement in Changing of the Guard, figuring that if they can scare her off Mike will come back. Bonnie, seeing how utterly terrified the poor girl is, can't keep up the act and spills the beans about them faking it.
• Didn't Think This Through: In Competition, Pizza Baron is doomed to fail. Between bizarre instruments, potentially offensive stereotypes and (initially) badly-programmed animatronics, the place was a terrible, terrible idea. The author even lampshades it via Author's Note.
  • In The Break-In, five thieves break into Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. By the end of it, two of them are dead via Five Nights at Freddy's signature Cruel and Unusual Death, Mike's been fired, the animatronics go through a massive Heroic BSoD and the remaining three are arrested.
• Do Not Call Me "Paul": Goldie loathes being called Eddy more than he loathes everything else.
• Does Not Know His Own Strength: Prior to the opening of the pizzeria, Nathan had the animatronics undergo sensitivity training, or learning how to hug without crushing people. Several maimed or exploded watermelons later, they managed to get ahold of it. Bonnie? Not so much.
• The Eeyore: Being damaged in several accidents and having his suit stolen are the least of Goldie's problems - he makes it clear that he hates just about anything and everything.
• Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Chica accidentally blurts out that Santa isn't real in front of dozens of kids (and Bonnie) while berating Foxy when he tries to rob the guy the pizzeria hired to act as Santa and immediately covers her beak in regret. Foxy makes it worse when a kid suggests to rip the actor's beard off and successfully does so.
• Face of a Thug: Springtrap looks just as horrifically deteriorated as he is in canon, but if anything he's friendly albeit overly dependant.
• Fake Kill Scare: In What Came Before, the animatronics seemingly cart Mike off and stuff him into a suit at last. It's an act, of course, meant entirely to scare the owner of a magazine that leaked an account of a former nightguard (Fritz Smith, who isn't Phone Guy this time) into giving them said guard's name.
• Faux Affably Evil:
  • Trout can go from threatening to kill Mike one minute to having a saccharine, yet just as vile tone the next.
  • Golden Freddy is seemingly friendly - initially - towards the Marionette, though some of his lines are rather ominous. Of course, this is Golden Freddy we're talking about...
• Foreshadowing: Quoting the end of one of the author's notes in Competition:
  "I own my characterisations, OC's, and the ability to kill Trout and Christina. I shall use it wisely."
  • Also from Competition, when Mike and Nathan are discussing why Trout was obsessing over Freddy's, especially the murders, Mike asks if Trout's the murderer's cousin. In the next chapter, What Came Before, the murderer is Phone Guy's cousin, who used the Golden Fredbear suit to lure the five children to the back and kill them. The first five.
• Four-Temperament Ensemble: The main four. Freddy is Phlegmatic, Bonnie is Sanguine, Chica is Melancholic and Foxy is Choleric.
• Friend to All Children: As in canon, all of the animatronics were designed to be as such but the most prominent example is Foxy, who has been seen interacting and playing with children more than any of the others. Several of his Heroic BSODs have resulted from inadvertently scaring them, especially after the debacle at Pizza Baron.
  • Arianna actually exploits this in Chapter 4 of For The Fans, lying to him in an attempt to stop him from choking a studio employee to death. Once Foxy realises he's scaring (nonexistent) kids, he immediately puts the studio executive down.
  • Springtrap hesitates to continue performing on the first night of Fazbear's Fright being open after two brilliant parents decide to bring their young children along despite them barely reaching the age requirement and he ends up making one of them start crying out of terror.
• Fun with Acronyms: The first letters of the sections in chapter three of For the Fans spell APRIL FOOLS.
• Gender-Blender Name: Marion, short for Marionette, is male.
• Genki Girl: Bonnie is by far the most friendly and childlike member of the animatronics. For example, she enjoys drawing, is prone to giving painfully tight hugs, is absolutely ecstatic when Mike's parents visit, believes in Santa and is the most visibly distraught after Mike's freak out during The Break In and his faux-murder in What Came Before, and is the only one out of the five to not take part in the snowball fight that ensues in Cabin Fever. In terms of being energetic and friendly, Toy Chica isn't that far behind.
• Gone Horribly Right: Following the murders in 1984, the animatronics were reprogrammed to recognise that nobody was supposed to be in the pizzeria after hours. This is what caused them to believe that the night guards were naked endoskeletons.
• Grand Theft Me: In What Came Before, Golden Freddy essentially hijacks the animatronics to turn them against Mike, and all four are more or less aware that their 'brains' have been altered, with Chica the only one with a full understanding.
• Gratuitous German: Baron von Pizza's associated Pizza Baron stereotype, full stop. He's a German Shepherd with a thick German accent, dressed in lederhosen and frequently peppers his speech with German phrases.
• Hair-Raising Hare: Subverted - Bonnie and Springtrap are just as frightening in-universe as they are in canon, but if anything they're among the most benevolent of the animatronics.
• Hate Sink: Trout and Christina have zero redeeming qualities whatsoever. This is lampshaded to hell and back in Competition's author's notes.
• Hates Being Touched: Foxy becomes extremely aggressive whenever most adults touch him. A bit of rough handling from a parent who was a little tenacious to get a photo with him was the cause of the Bite of '87.
• Haunted Technology: Averted. The animatronics are explicitly not haunted, and the reason why, exactly, they can move around is chalked up to incredible programming.
  • Played perfectly straight, however, with the Marionette. When Phone Guy returns to the old Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in the epilogue chapter of What Came Before, he runs into Marion, who is moving around on his own. When he asks who he really is, Marion asks him a single question.
    Marion: Do you believe in ghosts, Phil?
• Heroic BSoD: In Competition, Foxy goes through this after being forced to scare children for a performance for Pizza Baron. This is one of the biggest causes of Competition's Cerebus Syndrome.
  • And, of course, in The Break-In, when the animatronics realize the guards were all human. They don't take it well.
• I Have Many Names: Goldie Fredbear, also known as Yellow Freddy, Golden Freddy and Eddy.
• Instant A.I.: Just Add Water!: The Pizza Baron animatronics are rendered sentient when Nathan copies part of Foxy's programming over to their systems. Luckily, they didn't inherit the inability to recognise humans at night.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold:
  • Chica is abrasive to hell and back, but she will relent if the situation calls for it. Pushing Bonnie too far is a good way to see her softer side.
  • Arianna has one hell of a temper, but it's not hard to see why when you take into account all the shit she has to put up with being the manager of Freddy's, with the corpse-cleaning and how the pizzeria is struggling to barely break even month after month. It's rather weird just watching her filled with glee after the animatronics manage to pull off their demonic possession stunt in What Came Before
  • Sure, Foxy has an incredibly short temper, Hates Being Touched, and has attempted to kill several people, but when he realises that Bonnie will be performing the Bite of '87 in front of the film cameras in Chapter 4 of For the Fans, he rushes back to Freddy's to do the part instead of Bonnie, who is much more emotionally fragile than him.
• Karmic Death: Trigger-happy Christina has her skull mauled by Foxy when she threatens to kill Mike again once the Freddy's animatronics show up at Pizza Baron to save them.
• Killed Mid-Sentence: Subverted with Sir Drake, who is defeated by Chica in the middle of taunting her.
• Mama Bear/Papa Wolf: The toy animatronics are programmed to assume this if they identify someone in their criminal databases. Unfortunately, due to their facial recognition technology being tampered with, they assume that anyone over a certain age is a predator, with few exceptions.
• Mistaken for Murderer: What Came Before reveals that the toy animatronics' facial recognition is screwed up; as a result, they see most adults as predators... including Mike. Jeremy, on the other hand was rendered a scapegoat for the murders at the old pizzeria.
• My God, What Have I Done?: The animatronics have this when they realise they've been slaughtering night guards without knowing it. The movie director in the third chapter of the seventh fic also has this when he realises that he would have unknowingly made the animatronics relive the worst years of their lives.
• Nightmare Fetishist: Foxy and Chica take way too much pride in preparing the fake body and orchestrating Mike’s "death" in What Came Before, much to the distress of the others.
• Non-Malicious Monster: Of course, with all of the animatronics being more benevolent than their canon selves, this is a given unless of course you manage to press their Berserk Button; but this trope more specifically applies to Springtrap, who is just trying to locate his new operator and waiting to receive commands, all the while scaring Truman shitless.
• No OSHA Compliance: When Nathan and Phone Guy are tasked with testing out Springtrap/Spring Bonnie's springlocks, Nathan decides to test their sensitivity by giving them a light bump with some of his tools. The suit is immediately sent back to corporate when the internal devices violently recoil and snap a screwdriver in half.
• No Waterproofing in the Future: The animatronics may be ridiculously advanced for robots built through the late seventies through to the early eighties, but a cup of soda to the face is all it takes to force Freddy into shutting down. This is once again brought up when Mike invites the animatronics to have a snowball fight with him in For the Fans to pass the time while Arianna organises to free them from the pizzeria when they get snowed in, and when Nathan objects to them helping clear out more of the snow after they escape. According to the animatronics, their legs aren't as susceptible to exposure to water as the parts in their heads are.
• Obsessively Organized: Freddy spends most of the nights in the pizzeria aligning the furniture and decorations perfectly, and is usually none too pleased when the antics of the others ruin his work.
• Obliviously Evil: The animatronics think that they're just making sure all the endoskeletons follow the rules, and are quite upset that they invariably malfunction after being stuffed in a suit. They're quite horrified when they realize that all the guards were human and 'suiting them up' actually killed them.
• Oblivious to Love: Foxy is completely unaware that one of the pizzeria's waitresses was trying to hit on him back in the eighties.
• Only Known by Their Nickname: All of the toy animatronics have forgotten what Mangle's real name was, and stick with the nickname the staff gave her. A flashback reveals that Marion/Phone Guy remembers, though; it's Fiona Fox.
• Only Sane Man: Chances are that if you spend a lot of time working with the animatronics and having to cope with the extravagant situations they get themselves into, you'll more than likely end up like this. Mike, Arianna, Nathan and Truman are the most prominent examples.
• Override Command: The Toy animatronics' facial recognition software appears to prioritise identifing a police officer by their uniform and not their face.
• Parental Substitute: Mangle is essentially BB's guardian. Back when the original pizzeria was open, she usually left Kid's Cove to watch over him, and is programmed to prioritise ensuring his safety if and when danger arises.
• Pet the Dog: Since she can’t accept Foxy's request to reopen Pirate Cove due to legal matters involving the Bite, in exchange for the gang intimidating the publisher of a magazine that had an article defaming the restaurant into revealing which former night guard wrote it, Arianna gets Nathan to uninstall the daytime lockup program so that the animatronics at least have their free will during the day, although they're still not allowed to roam around. Unfortunately, the rest of the story is a massive Yank the Dog's Chain for all of them.
• The Pollyanna: Hardly anything can bring down BB's spirits for more than a couple of minutes at most. His solution to many a depressing situation will generally involve trying to cheer people up with balloons.
• Pre-Mortem One-Liner: "It's me." Cue the Bite of '03.
• Psycho for Hire: Christina, who was hired by Trout to steal one of the Fazbear animatronics and following the kidnapping of Foxy and Mike, as an incentive to keep them following all orders.
• Roaring Rampage of Rescue: This is the entirety of Competition's final chapters: the animatronics go after Pizza Baron to get Foxy and Mike back, and proceed to fuck shit up.
• Robotic Reveal:
  • The audience knows right from the get go what the animatronics are, but not the officers who arrest them until they attempt to remove the costumes. While they're stuck in shock, the animatronics take advantage of the situation and hightail it to the mall.
  • Arianna dupes the producers of the movie based on the horros of the pizzeria in For the Fans' forth chapter into believing that the animatronics are costumed actors who don't break character easily. It's only after the events of the Bite reenactment that the bubble bursts.
  • Inverted in What Came Before; near the end, the Marionette is revealed to be an ordinary puppet... being controlled by Phone Guy. Everyone is surprised, there.
  • And inverted again with the Marionette, who speaks to the police by himself after the Murderer is arrested, stating Phone Guy was his favorite controller, before walking away.
• Sadistic Choice: In exchange for his family's safety, the Murderer/Golden Freddy forced Phone Guy to help him with murdering a group of kids and playing Karma Houdini.
  • Turns out The Killer was just bluffing, and had Phone Guy call his family when they were all out of the house.
• Sanity Slippage: As the Toy animatronics have had next to no human interaction, they are all a little too cheerful; in fact, they almost appear insane.
• Saving Christmas: Phone Guy aka Phil dresses up as Santa and gives presents to the animatronics in an attempt to get them out of their funk after Chica and Foxy accidentally ruin the innocence of dozens of children and Bonnie with their stunt during the pizzeria's Christmas party.
• Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: A flashback at the beginning of What Came Before reveals that the man originally in charge of Fazbear Entertainment resigned after the murders and left the company to Freddy's namesake, Mr. Fazbach, all but stating this as his reason.
• Snowball Fight: Mike and the animatronics, minus Bonnie because she didn't want to join in, engage in one of these in For The Fans, thanks to Freddy Fazbear's being...
• Snowed-In: This happens overnight to Freddy Fazbear's in For The Fans.
• Spared by the Adaptation:
  • Obviously, Mike doesn't die or get fired. But that's not what this trope is referring to; it is revealed near the end of What Came Before that Phone Guy is still alive. He had a heart attack at the end of the Night Four phone call, and the animatrons interpreted it as the endoskeleton breaking because they put too much pressure on it. They ultimately decided not to stuff him into the suit since they thought he was broken, and wouldn't be any good for the show. Phone Guy survived the heart attack and is currently using the Puppet as a disguise.
  • What Came Before reveals that the Toy animatronics were simply abandoned instead of being scrapped when their pizzeria closed.
  • The same can be said for the original animatronics as of Five Nights at Freddy's 3, where they were dismantled by the Purple Guy sometime after Freddy's closed at the end of 1993. The pizzeria has also been open for nearly a decade after it closed in canon. What their fate is following Just Another Night at Fazbear's Fright is yet to be discovered. Again, the story takes place 30 years after Freddy's closed down, and another fire immolated the place a week after closure.
  • Fazbear's Fright actually manages to open in this series. In canon, it burned down about a day or two before it was due to do so.
• Stop Copying Me: Truman discovers Springtrap's overwhelming obedience after he goes online during the middle of the day after fully recharging and having been de-corpsed and cleaned out. He gets him to copy a few basic actions like lifting his hands and feet, and then gets the bright idea to mime strangling himself. Thankfully, he's able to command Springtrap to stop before he actually tries to strangle him.
• Suck E. Cheese's: In addition to the canonically lousy and dangerous Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, the series introduces a restaurant called Pizza Baron: a poorly planned and executed ripoff of the former chain that uses ethnic steroetypes, bizarre, made-up instruments and awful animatronics that barely count as interactive. When the guys running it kidnap Foxy to use him in their show, the resulting shitfest that ensues to get him back^note which includes somebody dying via Hostile Animatronic only speeds up their inevitable failure.
• Supreme Chef: Chica, especially when compared to the chefs of the pizzeria who at one point even attempt to make a rabbit-shaped pizza for Easter, which predictably ended horribly. In one of the prequel one-shots, Mike approaches her behind the curtains during the day to jokingly ask for one of her pizzas during his shift, and thanking her the next day when she does so helps the animatronics realize that the endoskeleton in the office is actually a human.
• Tempting Fate: In Competition, Mike and Nathan discuss what actions they think Freddy, Bonnie and Chica will take to rescue the former along with Foxy after the latter manages to inform them on the situation.
  Mike: What do you think Freddy's going to do?
  Nathan: Knowing him? Probably get people to send the police or something. He was never much for violence or stuff like that. More of a planner.
  [Cue Freddy crashing through the doors of Pizza Baron the very moment Nathan finishes his sentence]
  Freddy: Where's Foxy?
  Nathan: I never said I'd be right!
• Terrible Artist: Mike can't draw to save his life. In Bonnie's words, his drawing of Chica looks like a block of cheese.
• The Bus Came Back: The policemen who arrested Freddy and co. return to arrest the Murderer.
  • Dalton, Mike's replacement after he gets kidnapped in Competition, returns as an Adventure Park security guard along with Jeremy Fitzgerald in For The Fans' first one-shot. Dalton returns again as a cameo in Cabin Fever.
• Too Dumb to Live: In The Break-In, five people break into Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Needless to say, this ends... badly.
• Took a Level in Kindness: The solar storm in chapter three of For the Fans causes sass-master Chica to abandon all of her jerk traits and assume a Team Mom persona. It's a bit jarring, putting it bluntly. Arianna of all people is left gobsmacked by the sheer level of character loss.
• Totally Radical: Maxwell Circuit, Pizza Baron's resident keytar player, was designed to be ridiculously hip in hopes of entertaining an older audience.
• Trigger-Happy: Christina. If she wants someone to do something for her, she'll happily threaten to make use of her gun. This ends predictably when she tries to force Foxy into obeying her commands at the risk of Mike's life.
• 20 Minutes into the Future: Just Another Night at Fazbear's Fright at the very minimum takes place in 2033, about a decade further than the canon's equivalent which exists around late 2023 or early 2024.
• The Unintelligible: Mangle's damaged voicebox produces an immense level of static which is only worsened by the radio interference it also emits, with only a couple of legible words here and there. BB acts as her translator for the others.
  • This is averted after the solar storm that takes place during For the Fans, as while it switched the other's personalities it fixed Mangle's voicebox. For a while.
• We Hardly Knew Ye: Chelsea, the eponymous replacement night guard of Changing of the Guard resigns after three nights and two chapters of work after being pressured by the animatronics to do so.
• Wham Episode: What Came Before serves as this, introducing the toy animatronics, reintroducing the Murderer and revealing that Phone Guy is still alive.
• Wham Line: Marion reveals his identity through quoting an altered version of Phone Guy's very first line. Or, rather, his own line.

  Marion: Maybe you recognize this: Hello? Hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you on your first night.

  • Yet another from Marion, this time with even more impact on the plot:
    Marion: ...do you believe in ghosts, Phil?
• Wimp Fight: Bonnie and Maxwell end up in one during Competition's climax. Maxwell manages to get an actual hit in and immediately stops to apologize and ask if Bonnie's okay. She responds with a Dope Slap, declares them even, and the two go right back to blindly flailing at each other.
• Yank the Dog's Chain:
  • The animatronics finally manage to have their suits cleaned and their daytime lockup programs uninstalled after several traumatic and carnage-filled nights, only for their visit to the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza leaving them utterly mutilated.
  • For the first time in decades, Foxy gets to wear a new, pristine suit for the movie in chapter four of For the Fans much to his elation, but he is forced to hand it back once production wraps up.
  • The solar storm ends up fixing Mangle's voicebox in Mangle's Day Out and she manages to exit the original pizzeria through a hole in the ceiling after moving some panels. For the first time in decades, she finds a baby and is desperate to nurture it when she discovered it had a fever. Unfortunately, she frightens the youth's mother with her appearance, gets into a standoff with the police after kidnapping the baby, surrending it after it starts freaking out over her appearance and then her voice box ends up breaking again.
• Ye Olde Butchered English: To go along with the highly stereotypical themes present throughout Pizza Baron, Sir Drake talks like someone from the medieval age.
• Your Head Asplode: In Competition, this is what happens to Christina, coupled with Brain Food.
