Plumbers

    General
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/icon_rook.png
An intergalactic law enforcement organization that Thirteen, Nezu, and Hisashi are a part of.
  • Elaborate Underground Base: The current Plumber base is built under UA.
    • The original base was originally built in Mount Fuji, but after most of their agents were pulled off world they relocated to the current one.
  • He Knows Too Much: Hisashi implies that anyone that found out the truth about them and the aliens would go "missing". Izuku is distubed what it truly means.
  • Landmarking the Hidden Base: Chapter 64, reveals, as mentioned above, that The Plumbers former main base used to be under a national landmark, Mount Fuji.
  • Space Police: Their organization spans across the entire universe and is at least trying to bring justice and order.
  • Special Person, Normal Name: When Thirteen proudly reveals the name of their organization, Uraraka does not believe it for a second since 'Plumbers' is too ridiculous of a name. Even Midoriya looks embarrassed about it.

    The Magistrates
The top leaders of the Plumbers and the ones who oversee all Plumber operations.

    Thirteen

Anan Kurose — Thirteen

Space Hero
Click here to see her face
Species: Human
Quirk: Black Hole
A woman in a spacesuit who is known for working with disaster relief. Nicknamed "Space Hero No. 13", she works as a teacher at U.A. that overlooks the rescue exercises. Her Quirk," Black Hole", allows her to create black holes with her fingers; said holes can disintegrate matter at an atomic level. She's also a Plumber and Izuku's mentor.
  • Actually Pretty Funny:After Ochaco sees her out of her usual spacesuit for the first time, the young girl admits she had a theory Thirteen's body was an ethereal mass. The Plumber has to make an effort not to react with more than a smile
  • Adaptational Badass: In canon, she is more specialized in rescue operations so she isn't a capable combatant. However not in this series since she's a Plumber, she is capable of whooping your butt. A fact that takes Kurogiri by surprise.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: Unlike in canon she was mentored by Gran Torino.
  • Ascended Extra: Thirteen's canon role was only limited to the U.S.J arc, now it's expanded with Thirteen acting as Midoriya's mentor.
  • Badass Teacher: More so than in canon, here she is not only a Pro Hero and UA teacher, but a Plumber with combat experience and Izuku's mentor.
  • Decomposite Character: Takes Grandpa Max's role as mentor to Izuku.
  • I Warned You: She tries to caution Izuku and Uraraka just how dangerous the Megawhatts are but would they listen? Noooooo.
  • Mama Bear: She is not happy after learning how All Might treated Izuku and won't let the man talk to him unless Izuku wants to.
  • Mentor Archetype: Here she is the one who teaches Izuku about the aliens he changes into.
  • Noodle Incident: Back when she was a recruit, Thirteen had a very bad experience with Megawatts. According to Sad-One it "was a very traumatizing experience."
  • Powered Armor: Thirteen's costume isn't just meant to look like a space suit, it is an actual spacesuit. It also helps to control her Quirk. Though it impairs her movements, it is an unknown factor how she fought and overpowered Shinso, Todoroki and Yaoyorozu with such a bulky suit.
  • Power of the Void: Her Quirk allows her to summon black holes.
  • Samus Is a Girl: After her canon gender was revealed, she spent a few chapters out of her suit, surprising everyone who didn't know including her own cadets. The pronouns used also temporarily changed from "They/Them" to "She/Her".
  • So Proud of You: Thirteen is impressed that not only Midoriya is taking a role as a Pro Hero seriously but also him using the Omnitrix and taking it upon himself to inspire the countless innocents across the Universe.
  • Trickster Mentor: Admits she likes messing with Izuku and Ochaco on occasion. Best displayed by not telling her cadets the young half-alien they were going to talk to was their friend and classmate Mina Ashido.

    One-One

One-One

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_one_render.png
Species: Robot
A spherical robot who acts as Thirteen's assistant at Japan's Plumber base. Made up of two individual personalities, that of a scatterbrained optimist and a dour pessimist, One-One can split down the middle to allow these halves to function independently.

    Magister Nezu
The highest-ranking Plumber in Japan.

    Hisashi Midoriya

Hisashi Midoriya — Cinder

Fire Breathing Hero
Species: Human
Quirk: Fire Breath
Izuku's father, who returns to earth after years in space. All that is known about him is that he has a fire-breathing Quirk and that he (as far as Izuku knows) works abroad. But he's really a Plumber and has a history with Vilgax.
  • 100% Heroism Rating: To the aliens of Japan. He is so well-loved by them Bubble Helmet states that it's an honor to be arrested by him.
  • The Ace: He's one of the best Plumbers in the entire organization.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Apparently he and Endeavor used to be friends, but the latter's secret life as a Plumber has caused severe friction in their relationship, along with some other baggage, leading to their bitterness towards each other in the present day.
  • Adaptational Badass He's a Plumber with decades worth of training and experience, unlike his canon counterpart who is stated to just be a regular type of worker.
  • Adaptational Job Change: He's a Plumber in this story instead of simply working overseas.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Vilgax.
  • Berserk Button: Threatening or hurting his family makes Cinder want to bring you in hot.
    • Downplayed, but he doesn't like being called old.
  • Cool Starship: Has one, the Razor Crest, which he won in a game of Sabacc after his old Plumber Ship got destroyed.
  • Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: Downplayed. Hisashi still kept in contact with his family but via letters (though only Inko bothered to read them). He was forced to leave home due to the Magistrate repositioning him. He didn't tell his family because he wanted to keep them safe from harm. Thanks to this decision, his relationship with his son is strained and he acknowledges this.
  • Decomposite Character: He takes Grandpa Max's roles as the Omntrix's wielder's relative with a secret past as one of the greatest Plumber operatives, having a long history as Vilgax's arch-nemesis, and the ownership of the Rustbucket, his love of Hawaiian print shirts and his culinary affinities for things most other people would find GROSS; like Mealworms & Smoked Sheep's Tongue.
    • His younger self is more in lines with the titular Ben 10 having his Destructive Savior tendencies.
  • The Ghost: He hasn't been seen in over a decade, having vanished around the time Izuku was declared Quirkless. Both All Might and Tsukauchi believe it's related to All for One but Hisashi was just doing Plumber missions out in the universe.
  • Happily Married: To his wife Inko, when he returns they act like a pair of newlyweds.
  • Hero of Another Story: He's been on countless Plumber missions in the decade he was off Earth.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: Pro Heroes distrust him due to allegedly helping criminals. Unknown to them, he's actually helping aliens.
  • Honorary Uncle: He seems to have this dynamic with the children of his former friend Endeavour. Evidenced by Fuyumi calling him "Uncle Hisashi" and telling Shoto to call him if he needs anything.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Hisashi admits that he'll accept Izuku rejecting him, believing he deserves it for leaving him alone for so many years.
  • Living a Double Life: Deconstructed. Hisashi was forced to leave his family under the Plumbers' orders. By the time he arrives back home, Izuku already has developed a severe resentment towards him.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: He blames himself for getting Izuku trapped in the Null Void due to taking the Null Void projector which broke and accidentally fired at his son. Even though he got his son back, he's perfectly content letting the Null Void projector be in disrepair.
  • Papa Wolf:
    • The reason why Hisashi finally returns to Earth is because his son is in danger. Word of God implies that had he known about Bakugou's bullying towards Izuku, he would have keep his son away from him. We see this side in action when he takes part in the raid to rescue Izuku and Bakugo from the League of Villains.
    • He extends this to the Todoroki children and is more than happy to knock Endeavor down for his poor treatment towards them and telling Shoto he can call him if he needs anything.
  • Parental Abandonment: Izuku believes this to be the case since Hisashi conveniently left right after Izuku was diagnosed as Quirkless. The truth is that the Magistrate of the Plumbers forced him to be repositioned, taking on missions all across the cosmos. He only came back because of his son possessing the Omnitrix and Vilgax's interest in the device.
  • Red Is Heroic: He wears the red Alpha Squad variant of the standard Plumber suit.
  • Seen It All: Implied to be the case, as he mentions dealing with "wannabe conquers, alien armadas, planetary destruction" very casually.
  • The Cavalry Arrives Late: When the training camp got attacked, Krabb contacts him, the police, as well as the Plumbers after he, Momo, Awase, and Shihai have gotten rid of the signal jammer. Unfortunately, by the time he arrives, both Bakugo and his son have been kidnapped by the League of Villains.
  • Unseen No More: He finally make his debut on Chapter 37.
  • Walking Spoiler: Hisashi plays such a big role to Izuku's development and the story as a whole, it's hard to say things about him without spoiling everything.
  • We Used to Be Friends: Hisashi was once friends with Endeavor before they had a falling out. By the present day, the two loathe each other.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Several people including his own son calls him out on his abandonment of his family regardless of his intentions.

Click here to see her Humanoid Lenopan Form
Click here to see her Full Lenopan Form

Species: Lenopan
A young Plumber fresh out of the academy and an acquaintance of Hisashi via her family.
  • A Form You Are Comfortable With: Her true form in a purple mud monster with a pair of tendrils over her eyes, she takes the form of a blonde American girl while on Earth, as well as cute animals.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Like, in Ben 10 canon, she’s a goofy prankster but she’s also a Plumber agent and not to be taken lightly.
  • Genki Girl: Very energetic, goofy and friendly.
  • Shout-Out: She claims her powers are due to a shape shifting Quirk called Clayface.
    • She adopts the forms of Teekl and Lucky at different points.
  • Unrelated in the Adaptation: She’s not related to the Omnitrix wielder in the story, though she and Hisashi claim to be niece and uncle as part of her cover.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Her species' main ability.

    Patelliday

Patelliday

Species: Piscciss Volan
A veteran Plumber who was formally stationed on Earth and is an old friend of Nezu and Hisashi.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Just when the girls of 1A and Billy were about to get killed by the Cyber squids, Patelliday shows up in time and helps them out.
  • Cool Old Guy: He’s no tadpole and a bit goofy but he’s still an experienced Plumber and treated the young heroines-in-training he teamed up with as equals.
  • Identical Stranger:When he first appears the girls of 1-A mistake him for Izuku as Ripjaws, he plays this off by claiming to be Izuku’s uncle twice removed.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: Like the rest of his species his legs turn into a tail underwater.
  • This Looks Like a Job for Aquaman:A strange energy source of alien origin detected in the Marianas Trench? Definitely.

    Blukic & Driba

Blukic & Driba

Species: Galvan

A pair of idiotic Galvans that once assisted Cinder on a mission.

    David Shield

David Shield

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/david_shield.png
Species: Human
Quirk: Bendy Fingers
Head scientist of I-Island, former sidekick to All Might and a member of the Plumbers working to push Earth's tech level to point they can join the intergalactic community.
  • Affectionate Nickname: He calls All Might "Toshi", while All Might calls him "Dave".
  • Boring, but Practical: His Quirk is not suited for Hero Work, but it is very useful for a scientist.
  • Brainy Brunette: He's a brilliant scientist and a brunette.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: His scientific pursuits revolve around inventing support items for heroes. He has earned a Nobel Prize for his work and his uniforms are the only costumes able to withstand All Might's strength. His other inventions include a powerful Formula One-style car that can keep up with All Might and turn into a rocket jet, bubble-producing liquids that can easily nullify explosions, and a powerful Quirk-enhancing interface that can give someone enough power to challenge All Might.
  • Irony: All Might never told him about One For All, which he was slowly losing access to because he passed it to Uraraka, because he didn't want David's life to be at risk. He created his device to amplify All Might and return him to his former glory. The entire plot of the film and David nearly dying, could've been avoided had All Might actually spilled the beans as to why he was getting weaker.
    • Another irony is that All Might suspected Midoriya to be a threat for a time while David wasn't. Then, David proved arguably more dangerous than Midoriya as had the former's plan had suceeded, he would have unwittingly unleashed super-enhanced AND Omnitrix-powered criminals onto the world.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Dave does this when he realizes that his actions put everyone on I-Island at risk and effectively made him a villain.
  • Science Hero
  • Secret-Keeper: As in canon, he knows about All Might's true form, but he is also a Plumber a fact his old friend knows nothing about.
  • Too Clever by Half: While David is one of the most brilliant minds on Earth, his naievete and desperation to see All Might's return to glory blinds him to see potential consequences of his own actions. Kraab and Malware even describes the scientist as such after David aided in I-Island's terrorist attack.
  • Weak, but Skilled: He was All Might's sidekick. And he was apparently in the field with his friend, rather than Mission Control, to boot, despite being a scientist, and despite his Quirk being, well, just being able to bend his fingers more than other people.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: David helps Malware and the "fake" villains in invading I-Island in order to steal back his device and restore All Might's strength. Even his study of the Omnitrix is another goal in giving the Symbol of Peace additional abilities. This blows up in his face when his collaborators have other ideas...
  • Who Would Be Stupid Enough?: David most certainly believes that the creator of the Omnitrix would never add something as drastic as a self-destruct mode onto the watch. The creator says otherwise....
