Tropes:

  • Children Are Innocent: Marius, being a baby, is not capable of harming anyone. That makes Cardinal Oldin Lasker trying to feed Marius a Marked Bug all the more horrifying and unforgivable.
  • Tears of Fear: Marius began crying after Cardinal Oldin Lasker disturbed his rest.

Sir Grimes

A soldier of the Lord of Danakil and one of the Knight Order's Elite. He is a trustworthy knight with great fighting prowess and was sent to meet Altair's party after they arrived at the medical relief station in the Danakil Plains. However, while on patrol, he was poisoned by monsters that came from the nest of Blue Dragon Artalis before defeating them, and was waiting to die until Zephyr came along.

Tropes:

  • Blood from the Mouth: While Zephyr was administering needles laced with Asmodeus to counteract the poison coming from Blue Dragon Artalis, blood spewed from Sir Grimes's mouth as he was screaming bloody murder.
  • Greater Need Than Mine: Went with Zephyr and his party to the Great Elfen Forest despite not being completely cured so he can serve as living proof of an antidote to the elves and convince them to work with Zephyr.
  • I Owe You My Life: Sir Grimes was extraordinarily grateful to Zephyr after he was successfully treated, wondering how he could ever repay the favor.
  • The Reliable One: Was seen as such by the Lord of Danakil, his son Captain Regulus Danakil, and Altair.
  • Tainted Veins: Due to not being completely cured and still having some of the poison in his body, some of Sir Grimes’s veins are both visible and purplish. However, once he receives the cure, his veins will probably return to normal.

    Captain Regulus Danakil

Captain Regulus Danakil

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/captain_regulus.PNG

The eldest son of the Lord of Danakil and the leader of the Danakil Army Scarecrow Knights. After learning of the contents of the urgent letter sent to the Lord of Danakil by Philip Pilgrim, Captain Regulus rushed to the the medical relief station in the Danakil Plains with several knights to see who Philip was being scammed by.

Tropes:

  • Barrier Warrior: In addition to being a competent fighter, Captain Regulus's <Infallible Fortress> skill allows him to protect entire buildings and everything within them. The skill grows stronger the smaller the barrier is with barriers the size of storages able to block attacks from even Legendary weapons, and only disperses when the user leaves the building.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty; Was known for scaring his group members in the academy by being harsh. However, thanks to Captain Regulus, the groups he was in never suffered any accidents and was hard to beat, even for Altair's group, a group of geniuses.
  • A Father to His Men: Captain Regulus cares deeply for his fellow knights, as seen when he immediately tried to attack Zephyr after seeing Sir Grimes in immense agony, and apologizing to and thanking Zephyr for saving Sir Grimes.
  • Heartfelt Apology: Sincerely apologized to Zephyr for not realizing that he was trying to save Sir Grimes, and for trying to attack him. Zephyr immediately forgave Captain Regulus and thought Captain Regulus showed promise for not blaming others while apologizing.
  • The Reliable One: Was seen as such by Altair both in their academy days while he was her senior, and in current times as the leader of the Danakil Army Scarecrow Knights. She knew he was only taking responsibility to figure out what exactly was going on after the Lord of Danakil received her decree.

    Daisy

Daisy

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/daisy_5.PNG

A mage from the Magic Tower who was deployed by Captain Regulus to the medical relief station. After hearing of Altair's decree, she started serving Zephyr and came with him and his party to the Great Elfen Forest.

Tropes:

  • Badass Bookworm: Despite being more suited for doing research in the labs, Daisy is also able to work on the battlefield with combat and intel spells in her arsenal. Daisy was also able to discern Altair's true capabilities by observing her for the two weeks before the Blue Dragon Raid, and knew exactly what to tell Milia to make sure Milia doesn't ruin anything. Even after Milia's chance of getting a capital aristocracy recommendation vanished when Altair told everyone from the Magic Tower to stay in the Great Elfen Forest, Daisy knew exactly what to say to keep Milia excited.
  • Drone Deployer: Can essentially create up to three magical drones at a time with her <Graeae's Eye> skill, which share visual and auditory information with Daisy and each other up to a 200 meter radius from Daisy. After receiving adequate funding and supplies from Altair, Daisy created <Cyclops>, a huge golem that can collect information within a 500 meter radius, can relay information up to one kilometer away, and can relay information to up to sixteen <Graeae> golems at a time.
  • Golem: Daisy can create Golems made out of rocks and powered by Mana Stones, and made countless ones for the Blue Dragon Raid. Examples include <Graeae>, <Cyclops>, combat-type, tombstone-type, and smaller flying varieties.
  • Military Mage: Came with Captain Regulus of the Danakil Army to the medical relief station to investigate the urgent letter sent to the Lord of Danakil by Philip Pilgrim. However, Daisy herself admits to being more suited for the labs.
  • Non-Fatal Explosions: Despite having a powerful blast explode in her face from the bi-directional Mana Road before it became uni-directional, Daisy did not suffer any grave injuries, only becoming dazed before being healed.
  • Shrinking Violet: Appears to be quite shy and has trouble speaking.
  • Stoic Spectacles: A female example. Daisy wears large, round glasses and appears to be quite stoic.
  • Support Party Member: Seems to be one, with her <Graeae's Eye> skill and <Cyclops> providing valuable intel.
  • Undying Loyalty: Becomes eternally loyal to Altair after she sees the potential in Daisy's designs and offers to fully fund them.
  • Youthful Freckles: Has freckles, and appears to be quite young.

    Milia

Milia

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/milia.PNG

A mage from the Magic Tower who was deployed to the remote village near the Great Elfen Forest. She was taken prisoner with the rest of the inhabitants, and was released two days later after Zephyr and his party arrived at the Great Elfen Forest.

Tropes:

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Hates Altair, calling Altair a "stuck-up bitch" and even asking Daisy if she found any weaknesses Milia could use to kill Altair.
  • Hard Work Hardly Works: The reason why Milia hates Altair. During their academy days, Milia worked tirelessly to learn as much as possible while Altair played around. However, this is ultimately subverted in that Milia doesn't know that Altair did work hard but was forced to do so in secret, and only pretended to be a princess of debauchery so she could grow stronger without arousing suspicion.
  • An Ice Person: Is shown to be using ice-based magic. This fits with her frosty attitude.
  • Military Mage: Along with Daisy, Milia seems to be one as well. However, unlike Daisy, Milia is more focused on combat while Daisy is more focused on research.
  • Ungrateful Bitch: Did not show even an ounce of gratitude for being freed, instead complaining about being dispatched to a remote area and being captured without being able to bathe.

    Aaron Lucas

Aaron Lucas

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aaron_lucas.PNG

A member of the Cayenne Kingdom Lion Knight Order. After defeating the Mercenary King Gladis in a war five years prior to the start of the story, Aaron Lucas attended a victory banquet with people cheering on his great command of the troops and overwhelming win in the one-on-one fight. However, Aaron Lucas denied being the strongest person on the continent, what with there being five people stronger than him. Once King Leo the Third asked who the five stronger people were in addition to the people below him, Aaron Lucas told everyone who they were. Those people in that list became the original ten strongest people in Aslan.

Tropes:

  • Humble Hero: Acknowledged that he was not the strongest person in Aslan. Of the ten strongest people in Aslan, Aaron Lucas placed himself as sixth.
  • Respected by the Respected: Respected by King Leo the Third, head of the Cayenne Kingdom and the ruler of Aslan. Aaron Lucas is so respected, his list spread like wildfire and the people in that list became legends.
  • Top Ten List: The original top ten list of the ten strongest people in Aslan goes like this:
    • 1) Sword Saint John Howl
    • 2) Grand Sorcerer Henrick
    • 3) Knight of Blessing Roland
    • 4) Blue Blade Karna
    • 5) Burning Forest's Witch Galathea
    • 6) Aaron Lucas himself
    • 7) Dariel the Son of the Great Elfen Forest
    • 8) Iron Mace of Faith Dominique
    • 9) Mercenary King Gladis
    • 10) The Twin Knights
      • Since Ophelia defeated the Twin Knights and took Mercenary King Gladis's place as the ninth after he was executed for treason, the order hasn't changed in the current timeline. However, after the Twin Knights were killed in the current timeline, the tenth spot was left vacant in the current timeline. In addition, once the Sword Saint's current incarnation was forced to leave, the first spot also became vacant with Aederius taking that place in the previous timeline due to wielding Requiem, the prized possession of the previous strongest.
  • "World's Best" Character: Considered himself to be the sixth of the ten strongest people in Aslan.

Academy Dean Eugenio Vitel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/academy_dean.PNG
Click here to see him 61 years ago

The current Academy Dean and a prominent scholar. As the Academy Dean, Eugenio Vitel served as a mentor to countless noble students and has considerable influence among the nobles. He visted the Great Elfen Forest 61 years prior to the start of the story and brought back a wealth of information on elves and the Elf Kingdom. Queen Silvestia wanted Altair to have him help with the Ice Dragon Raid, and Philip Pilgrim later brought him and Duke Cesare Giornetti to the Third Parish of the Temple of Light.

Tropes:

  • Blue Blood: Is a duke of the Vitel family. He also has considerable influence among the nobles.
  • Gentleman and a Scholar: Is quite the scholar and is quite polite even to students he didn't like, such as Altair.
  • Malicious Slander: Was the victim of such. Due to him having visited the Great Elfen Forest 61 years ago and Kiara being born shortly afterwards, Eugenio Vitel was rumored to be Kiara's biological father. That caused great suffering for Kiara, since the elves shunned her for supposedly being corrupted by human blood.
  • Mentor Archetype: Served as the mentor to countless noble students.

  • Evil Plan: Told Kylie to steal something from Altair's group's residence to limit Altair's involvement in the Ice Dragon Raid.
  • Only Sane Man: Among himself, Kylie, and Kevin Royder. Instead of engaging in screaming matches and hurling insults, Lex Perry devises plans and gives instructions.

    Kylie

Kylie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kylie_1.PNG

A member of the Adventurer Guild Union and the Vice Guildmaster of the Thief Guild. She is the go-to person if something needs to be stolen, which was why Lex Perry told her to steal something from Altair's group's residence to limit Altair's involvement in the Ice Dragon Raid.

Tropes:

  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: A mixed-gender example. Kylie is the "beauty" to Lex Perry's "brains" and Kevin Royder's "brawn".

    Kevin Royder

A member of the Adventurer Guild Union and the Guildmaster of The Best Guild. He realized that Zephyr was after the Dragon Hearts, and therefore demanded the Adventure Guild Union should never let Altair's "rescue team" come near during the Ice Dragon Raid.

Tropes:

  • Genius Bruiser: Is quite perceptive in that he realized that Zephyr was after the Dragon Hearts and therefore the Adventure Guild Union should never let him near, and is very strong. No wonder he is the Guildmaster of The Best Guild.
  • Muscles Are Meaningful: Is SUPER muscular, and is really strong.
  • Shouting Free-for-All: Seems to frequently get into these with Kylie, as many of their interactions devolve into full-blown screaming matches.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Barely gets along with Kylie with them rarely seeing eye-to-eye, which leads to the aforementioned full-blown screaming matches.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Has absolutely no qualms with hitting Kylie.
